R. E. Price, Fine Furniture & Custom Cabinetry

We reached out to Robert to work on a specialized display cabinet project for our Manufacturing facility. Robert was very professional and excellent to work with. He came to the Plant to take a look at the project and executed the build of the cabinets exceptionally. Robert had given us a timeline for the project this was met on time and the cabinets were delivered. We liked them so much even ordered another they are all hanging displaying our product. R.E. Price was a pleasure to work with.

A year ago, we had Robert build a coffee bar area and also a drawer under the microwave to match the cabinetry in our existing kitchen. He did such a great job that it looks exactly the same as the rest of the kitchen and functions just how we wanted it to. We were so happy with it that we had him come back recently and build a cabinet vanity in the bathroom to fit exactly in between 2 walls and to fit around existing plumbing. The cabinet looks beautiful, works seamlessly, and fits perfectly in an area with unique dimensions. I was able to show him a picture of what I wanted and he produced it exactly as I showed him. Wonderful working with him!

Robert did a beautiful built-in wardrobe for us, and the whole process was wonderful. His mild manner and clear communication made it easy to explain our needs and budget. He also gave great advice about design choices as well as hinges, and he explained clearly about costs and the time needed to complete the work. Since he does all of the cabinet work at his workshop, installation only took two days. We were very impressed with how hard he worked in that time to fit the wardrobe seamlessly into our very crooked old house. I wouldn't hesitate to work with him again.

Robert made and installed a built-in media center for us earlier this year. He was great to work with - he listened to our goals in the design phase, and presented us with multiple good options for the design. We had planned for an all-maple media center, but he suggested using cherry for the countertop, and we love the way that turned out! He was also able to accommodate a late request about the hardware, and completed all the work in line with the original timeline.

Robert is an excellent craftsman with an exceptional level of professionalism. We engaged him to build our custom kitchen, bathroom and laundry room cabinetry. He also made our built-in book cases and mudroom seating/storage. All were completed to high quality standards, on time and on budget. Robert was very helpful in suggesting design improvement options as well as collaborative and communicative throughout the entire design, build and installation process. We would hire him again without reservation!

I am a picky client and I would give Robert Price 10 stars if that were allowed! My husband and I are renovating a home built in 1907, where we have lived for 35 years. We selected Robert to build a full-room library for us. This project involved designing floor to ceiling bookshelves and multiple window-seats on four walls of a room. The room presented design challenges by having 3 windows, a large opening to another room and a door to a hall. I had stored up 35 years of ideas of the ‘perfect’ bookshelves that I wanted and this required that Robert listen to all these ideas and then come up with a design that combined my fantasies with the realities of slanty walls and floors of an old house and the need to have a design that could accommodate an old baseboard heating system. The library turned out even better than my fantasy! First, Robert’s design expertise and craftmanship are second to none. But, equally important, he was incredibly patient in listening to my ideas and dreams for this room. He took my multiple ideas and created a more coherent, beautiful design, allowed me to give feedback on several iterations, and came up with creative ideas to resolve design difficulties that the old house provided. He carefully worked through every detail and resolved each with artistry. His communication was clear and prompt at every stage. Ten stars for R.E. Price Cabinetry! Very skilled professional. He quickly grasps what is wanted/needed and makes good suggestions for improving on the customer's original idea. He uses software that allows you to visualize the final result (surround custom bookcases with hanging folder cabinets in my case). He builds in his own studio on the basis of the measurements he takes. Even if he has to schedule your project far out (6 months), he has a good sense of timing, so that the projected completion date is quite accurate. Highly recommended

Robert runs an excellent, highly organized process from start to finish. All details were discussed in advance, leading up to a CAD drawing (computer rendering) of the project. From their, Robert completed the project on time, exactly as scheduled, building the furniture offsite at his shop. Installation took one day working at my house and went smoothly. We are thrilled with the built-in shelving and corner desk that Robert created. Did an amazing job bringing the vision to life, and then some! Very happy to recommend Robert for high-end custom furniture design and build.

I hired Robert to build a custom bench seating and daybed unit. The final results are amazing and better than I was imagining. Robert had great suggestions that improved on my original sketch and he worked those ideas up in to a final, digital mock-up that he shared well before the build began. His prices are very competitive and his estimate was true. The level of detail and the final level of polish is like artwork. I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again for any carpentry projects in the future!

We hired Robert to build built-ins for our dining room. We had a basic design in mind and Robert made several suggestions to make it look more like built-ins and less like a set of kitchen cabinets. His ideas made the final product much better than what we had envisioned. Robert communicated with us throughout the process so we always knew what was going on and when to expect the next step. We had gotten estimates from kitchen stores for semi-custom cabinets. They didn't have the flexibility we wanted so we would have had to make sacrifices like not having glass paneled doors and choosing from a limited set of colors. Robert was able to build 100% custom cabinets for us for the same price range as semi-custom cabinets from a kitchen store. We're very happy with his work.

Robert built a custom media storage center for us and every step of the project went smoothly. The finished result is outstanding! Working with an initial design I had, we discussed my ideas on the phone a couple of times before a first visit to see the work area and go over options and possibilities. Once we chose Robert to do the project, a couple of design changes were desired on our end as a result of other aspects of our room re-configuration. Robert worked with us to alter the design at this later stage, even though it ended up slightly reducing the size of the project. The timeline initially quoted for the project start & project duration were both accurate. We appreciate Robert's professionalism and understanding through out the entire process. This cabinet was very specific in terms of the storage necessities and arrangement to maximized use of space, and everything was spot on. I can say we are totally happy with the final look & performance aspects of the finished product. We highly recommend Robert for any type of cabinetry you may be considering.

We asked Robert to build a couple of different units for us because we wanted something that would be high quality and truly custom-built. We couldn’t be happier with his work. He was so detail-oriented, and the final product looks as if it always should have been there. His craftsmanship definitely added value to our home, and we’ll be asking him back for future projects.
