Save Wood Kitchen Cabinet Refinishers

We vaccinated between getting new kitchen cabinets or refinishing our existing oak and we are very happy we opted to have “Save Wood” to do just that. We are extremely pleased with their workmanship, as well as, the gentleman that did the work. They were professional, genuine and it’s apparent that they take pride in their work. It took a while to complete once ordered and knew that going in, but when we experienced first hand the effort that went into getting the paint perfect... it was understandable. Their attention to detail was impeccable. If you want to save money yet still have a beautiful kitchen, give “Save Wood” a try! We are glad we did!

Sale service was great! Miguel is a great talker and great salesman. The actual work not so much..The contract was signed in May but did not get cabinets back until the end of August. We redid our entire kitchen and first floor. The biggest delay we had was Save Wood. The initial work was good the painter was good.. the hardware that was installed damaged the cabinets and was installed improperly I called afterward to the shop and provided pics but no response.. also they are suppose to check in w you 4 weeks after initial work and nothing.. crickets.. Very disappointing..I would not recommend this company at all..Mike the owner does not care one bit about customer service and the next time a salesman shows up at my house driving a Cadillac I will take a pass.

I waited 20 years to remodel my kitchen. After getting several quotes from different companies, Save Wood has the best refinish process, the best warranty, the best employees and I am so glad I went with Save Wood. From the beginning the professionalism and the knowledge shows that they really know their business. Miguel Z. (project manager) was so patient and he gave me great suggestions. The crew was so polite and attentive to detail. When other companies wanted to charge $20K+, With Save Wood I was able to save more that half of that, saved my great quality cabinets without replacing them with new cheap quality and the end result is fantastic! I truly recommend Save Wood for the great quality of work, their savings and their warranty.

Updated from previous review) Mike, the owner, was truly professional. Mike values his customers and the quality of the work his company does. He visited our home and explained the whole process for refinishing our cabinets. He addressed all our questions and concerns. It's not often today that you meet someone that is dedicated to their customers and the quality of the work they provide, Mike is that guy and SWKCR is that company. We recommend SWKCR to anyone looking to get their cabinets redone.

After our cabinets were installed we had problems with poor hard installation and chipping. Customer service is nonexistent. Once the get your money they will not fix any problems you may have. Don’t do business with this company all they want is your money.

My home's cabinets kitchen & bath vanities were refinished by Savewood. They look nice... & Many compliments... My realtor says home value has increased. The Customer service and any sorta warranty guarantee is non existent. Several Drawerfaces were made too small. "Mike Morise" refused to provide the correct size drawer faces which will properly cover/hide opening for these drawers. When contacted for warranty on this workmanship error. .. The owner was less than cordial, combative and grossly unprofessional. I was threatened and told to pay additional fees. After following Mike instructions I shipped these "wrong size" drawer faces back as told to do so. Including several clear digital photos Proper .correct dimensions... And! A personal check to pay for Mike'so warranty fee. Worse Savewood lost the shipment. I have a signed USPS delivery reciept (post card) indicating that this box was delivered. Savewood REFUSES my request for the proper made drawer face replacements. I am disappointed and disrespected. This company should back up thier workmanship I want this job to be done right.

Excellent sales person and staff very polite and professional. Our kitchen looks awesome! The quoted price was exactly what we paid. When the doors arrived with inset hinges which we didn't order - no problem! I would recommend Save Wood to anyone.

I hired Savewood to do my kitchen cabinet refinishing after getting quotes from other contractors, Savewood seemed to know more about the process. The worker Jorge was great. He was very polite and professional. Also, great attention to detail. The finish on my cabinets looks terrific. I am very happy with the work and would definetly recommend.

The job was to restain and refinish our kitchen cabinets. order one new door and two new drawer fronts. Original compeltion est was 4 wk after doors were picked up. I added 2 more wk due to the new door and drawers. Well, close to 4 months and finally finishes. The sales person did not do a good job. He sized the new door and drawers and messed that up. I emphasized that communications was important. The entire project was the complete opposite. On site work was great. Workers were all terrific. The new wood was wrong and had to be reorders. And I never even got a call from the office with an apology and telling me they would get right on it. The schedule was always and I mean ALWAYS the top priority with the owner. You call out of that, good luck. And why would it take almost 2 wks once the onsite (last state) work completed for them to schedule the installation of doors and drawers. Price was good, quality was pretty good, not perfect. But painful and very disappointed with lack of communications and also lack of customer care. And way too long to have a kitchen messed up. Not a fun experience.

We had our outdated kitchen refinished by Savewood. The cabinets were in good shape and we didn't feel we need to get new ones. We didn't even know refinishing was an option. We happened to be at a friends house who had just had their cabinets done. It looked like a new kitchen. She gave me Savewood's number and the rest is history. They came over with samples and gave us a quote which we thought was very reasonable. The entire project took about 6 weeks but the time flew by. Our kitchen looks wonderful and up to date. We've had many compliments on it. The staff at Savewood were very helpful with answering our questions and very professional. I would highly recommend this company.

The process of getting our small-sized kitchen cabinets refaced has taken over three months. All throughout, there has been a total lack of communication regarding the timeline and late notices. For example, on two occasions (July 1 and July 14), the salesperson (Eric) emailed only 12 hours or less in advance saying that they will not be working the following day. With the sander and the painter, we were told that they would come at 9:30AM every day, but they came over an hour late every day, and on one day, the painter did not even show up even though he explicitly said he would come the next day. I emailed Eric twice to which he replied to only one of those emails multiple days later, and I spoke to the owner, Mike, about the painter not showing up on Thursday, July 9. He was very disrespectful in his tone and said that he doubts the painter (Fidel) said that he was going to come on Thursday, Fidel has been working there for 20 years, and he himself has had the company for 30 years and thinks he has done well for himself. I do not understand how that has anything to do with the issues of poor punctuality and lack of communication. He said he would call me back when Fidel got into the shop and that he would schedule the final installation and paint day with me over the phone, but I have still yet to hear from him. We set a tentative day of Wednesday, July 15 for the install and paint, but tonight, Eric (salesperson) emailed and said that they will not be at our house tomorrow. I feel a total lack of respect because my time has been spent waiting for them to finish the small-scale project, waiting for them to come when they said they would, and waiting for them to respond. I have had to miss days or work and reschedule my kids' doctors' appointments numerous times because of their sudden delays. I would have appreciated more frequent notices on the progress of the project and as owner and manager of the company, I wish Mike would have followed through with his word when I called on July 9, and I wish he would have also called himself today, as he said he would, rather than tell his employee to email me 12 hours beforehand. In terms of the project, not only has it been excruciating slow but my bowls have white paint splotches on them as well. It was one of the very first projects I wanted complete because I have a young toddler and a baby at home, and safety is of utmost concern. The delays have not merely been a hassle but a safety issue; therefore, I tremendously regret choosing Save Wood.
