In July of 2017 we contracted with Mr Thornton to build two Murphy beds. It is now September of 2018 and we have no beds and it appears no way to get our very large deposit back. Web sites keep disappearing and Facebook pages keep changing. No response to calls, texts, or emails.

Well at first I was a little apprehensive because I read some bad reviews but I decided I should give him a shot anyway and let me tell you I'm glad I did you could not find a more professional hard working honest guy than Mr. Thornton built on time on budget and turned out more beautiful than I could even dream of my most valued piece of furniture has outlasted 2 cats 3 dog 2 wives and 26 girlfriends I will definitely come back to Suite Dreams for all my Murphy beds .

The owner of the company owes us a full refund because of poor work, missing cabinets, and nonfunctioning bed. Once the bed was removed the owner agreed to have a full refund to us and now emails, phone calls, and messages are not being returned. The owner is dishonest about timeline, product, and at times can be rude and unprofessional when asked for information about our money. Do not waste your time or money. Very frustrating.

I paid $2500.00 deposit for custom Murphy bed March 2017. Mr. Thornton kept in contact faithful until deposit was made. I have called, texted, and email to check on status of bed...no response.

When my client sought me out and asked a few questions about pricing, estimated delivery times, our productions schedule, I gladly let her know. I never try to "sell" anything to anyone. My custom-made Murphy beds sell themselves. So, when she decided what she wanted, I prepared a very simple one-page "Custom Work Order," which clearly states "No refunds, charge backs, or disputed deposits after 72 hours upon agreeing to the terms of this proposal. (_________, initialed by client.)" That time had long passed for her bespoke furniture with her order in line to be made.

We are very busy and have had a huge demand with more custom Murphy beds. Each one we make in completely unique to our clients tastes, finishes and desires. Hers is no different. Our clients appreciate their bespoken furniture when they finally get it delivered and installed in their homes, offices, or wherever. As we go into our 5th year, we look forward to creating some of the Best Murphy beds in Texas and else where. We are sorry for any delays, but we are never sorry for the work we put into each of our beds. And our custom beds should be priced much higher and we still beat what you can get locally at the retailers. We have an honest price for a great custom bed. And the real value I always bank on is the smiles on my clients' faces when they see their bed on the wall for the first time. If I was paid by the smile, I am already a millionaire.

Patience is a virtue. And works out well when creating custom Murphy beds. That's why I call my business Suite Dreams Murphy Beds. Dreams do come true.

We bought a queen size, cherry wood Murphy bed. We have enjoyed this piece of furniture in our home. John is definitely a furniture craftsman of top-notch. He willingly worked with us to give us the design and color tone, along with the wood choice we desired. He worked for us within our timeframe as well. He went out of his way for us to give us a good product and became a friend as well

I began shopping for a Murphy Bed in January 2014. Google promptly led me to the MDF (medium-density fiberboard) and imported dross that's crept in to this market space. Wooden furniture, is seemed, constructed with care by knowledgeable craftsmen, was no longer found along the beaten path. Avoid that path, and conventional wisdom along with it. Custom made wooden Murphy Beds are indeed available in San Marcos, Texas! Suite Dreams built and installed one, then another, custom designed bed for me. I'm impressed with the quality materials and degree of personal attention to producing exactly the right result. Look no further for your investment.

John Thornton, at Suite Dreams installed a Murphy bed I built with help from my Son-in-law last summer. He did a beautiful, smooth and fast install. I enjoyed working on it, but needed (wanted) another Murphy bed in far less time than it took me to put mine together. John built me one to match the first, a solid Birch, clean, minimalist designed Full Size bed. He installed it, again, a smooth and fast install. My grown kids love the new beds! I love the open space that I have now for my bags of clay, kiln and pottery wheel. John Thornton is honest, extremely capable, hard working, with an eye for details. He's a good guy and his prices are affordable, even for a Texas school teacher!
