I worked with Sergio on two projects for my home. We completed finishing and staining paneling on a large two story fireplace and installed custom cabinets and shelving in an open concept living room. I provided Sergio with renderings and inspiration photos of the look I was trying to achieve and he was able to match perfectly. Sergio was clear with payment, prices, and communication and completed the projects in a timely manner. I am happy with the completed work.

Finding a good contractor is always a daunting task—you’re constantly trying to balance finding someone with the right style, the right communication skills, and a personality you actually want in your home. We recently hired Sergio to redo the cabinets in three of our bathrooms, and he absolutely delivered on every front. From the very beginning, Sergio was an incredible communicator. He took the time to talk us through the entire process, listened closely to our ideas, and perfectly executed the exact style we were going for. He is extremely detail-oriented, which really shows in the quality of the final product, and he was always fast and responsive whenever we had questions. On top of his excellent work, he is just genuinely a nice person to be around. We also really appreciated the team he put together; the countertop and lighting crews he subcontracted with were fantastic and did beautiful work. The ultimate compliment you can give a contractor is hiring them twice, and we are already planning to bring Sergio back to redo our closets. Where to start with my accolades.... My experience is that design vendors (both inside and outside the house) must have the technical ability to do the work as well a sense of style and taste. The former can be learned and the latter is much harder to acquire; either you have it or you don't. Sergio has it all. When I explained what I wanted to do for my reach-in closet, Segio came up with a design that improved on what I wanted and the result was terrific. His installer was meticulous and neat. I probably don't need his services any more for the moment but I keep looking around the house trying to find a reason to hire him again. I'll talk myself into it sooner than later is my guess.

Sergio did our closets and we absolutely love them. Our old closets weren’t functional at all so it nice to have someone help us make the closets what we need. Sergio even double checked the installation work and we need some adjustments to make it flush against the wall which he was able to make happen within a day or two. He has good attention to detail and makes sure the end product is something he would be proud of in his house. We will definitely be working with Sergio again in the future when we are ready to get new cabinets in the bathrooms.

He was neither the cheapest nor the most expensive, but he did listen to what I wanted and made some really helpful suggestions too. He was careful to get all my feedback during the design process and I am so incredibly happy with the result. Our cabinets look beautiful and the quality of workmanship is stellar. We have an older house and there are no straight walls but you’d never know that from these cabinets, they have been installed so well that they look as if they’ve always been there. Sergio does stellar work to the exact detail you're looking for at reasonable prices. He's very friendly and goes out of his way to make sure you're happy with the results. He renovated my bathroom vanity and the result was gorgeous, came out better than I hoped. I'll definitely be hiring him for future work in my home. I like that he sends the designs so you know exactly what to expect and can visualize it and iterate on it.

Sergio/Surge Custom Woodworks is a true craftsman. From design to fabrication and installation he deserves an A+. He did primary bath cabinetry, and cabinets and an island in my fully renovated kitchen. He is creative and detail oriented and knows how to do a high-end look without the price tag. Hired initially to do custom white oak cabinetry in the kitchen and two bathrooms, but given the quality of work and the professionalism, we hired Sergio to help with a number of other things. During a stressful renovation project, where most contractors were either delayed, over budget or both, it was great to have Sergio not being any of that.

ABSOLUTE PERFECTION is the ony way to describe this company! I started out with a small bathroom and ended up adding new custom gorgeous cabinets all over my house.
