Stephan and his team at Top Shelf Cabinets are the best of the best. He and his team rescued me from a cabinet nightmare and every part of my experience with them was exceptional! Last Thanksgiving I found myself in a crisis when another cabinet fabricator quit suddenly the day after my current kitchen was demoed. I called dozens of other cabinet makers in the Flathead and even the nicest told me I had to wait at least 2 months for their attention, which would have left my family with no kitchen over the holidays. Except Stephan. Despite being crazy busy himself, when he heard my plight, he came by my house immediately to see the situation and he agreed to take me on. Within a day, he had my kitchen measured, and within another day, we had a whole new set of cabinet plans designed. Within two weeks the new cabinet boxes were installed, and within another week, the doors, hardware and kickplates were all in place too. We literally went from me crying with no functioning kitchen and no hope… to a gleaming new kitchen courtesy of Stephan and his team – in 3 weeks (before Christmas!) Top Shelf Cabinets has the knowledge, team, and state of the art facilities to make a complete kitchen overhaul look like a piece of cake and to help a customer in need. Amazing! There were many other things really impressed me: 1. Stephan and John worked during the Thanksgiving holiday to make this happen. I felt terrible about it, but wow - talk about commitment! 2. We were out of town over Thanksgiving and couldn’t review cabinet plans in person but Stephan’s professionalism and attention to detail were so strong that we finalized them in only a few iterations over email and phone despite being in separate states. 3. Stephan proactively sent me images of the cabinets being made in his facility. He had invited us to tour the production facility but because of our travel plans and rushed timeline we weren’t able to. So he sent us photos so we could feel confident that everything was on track. 4. The Top Shelf Cabinets team put in a high quality temporary countertop made of leftover pieces from another project (at no cost) to make our counters functional until our counter could be installed. This was outside the project scope but they suggested it to help us out. 5. Stephan handled a last minute change request with utmost grace (after installation!) and swapped out a magic cabinet corner with zero hassle. 6. We had one minor miscommunication on the color of the shadow line where the cabinets meet the ceiling, and here again, he insisted on making it the way I wanted it with zero additional cost or hassle. I was thrilled! 7. The final project invoice came in at EXACTLY the same amount as his estimate despite all of the things he did to go above and beyond as noted above. 8. Stephan and John were all around wonderful to work with. They were regularly in our house alone during installation while I was at work and were always careful not to let the cats out. Plus, they always left the work area spotless when they left. As you can tell, my husband and I are thrilled with Top Shelf Cabinets and would recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone looking for a professional, highly skilled, and customer-centric cabinet maker!

Stephan built and installed all the custom cabinetry for our new construction home. He's a true craftsman and we couldn't be happier with our gorgeous cabinets or our beautiful barnwood door. He's also a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend!

Top Shelf does excellent cabinetry work. We wanted flat inset cabinets with dove tailed drawers, and butt hinges. Stefan had the skills and the equipment to make beautiful high quality cabinets.
