Buyer Beware: Poor Quality and Zero Accountability from Wellborn Cabinets I invested over $80,000 in Wellborn cabinets for a full kitchen remodel, trusting their reputation for high-quality, American-made products. What I received, however, was deeply disappointing — both in terms of product quality and customer service. Right out of the box, there were glaring quality issues. The paint finish was inconsistent, with visible rub marks, blemishes, and thin coverage that left areas of raw wood exposed. Several cabinets arrived with cracked frames, and the $80-per-can touch-up spray paint was not even a close match to the cabinet color. Even more troubling, some drawer faces had staple holes punched right through the front, clearly a manufacturing defect. When replacements were sent, they were noticeably darker than the rest of the cabinetry, leaving us with mismatched, uneven finishes. After raising concerns through our contractor, the Wellborn Account Manager West and District Sales Manager visited our home. They spent time documenting over 100 photos of finish flaws, structural damage, and poor workmanship. A formal report was prepared — and then five months passed with no resolution. Despite the overwhelming evidence, Wellborn ultimately refused to take any corrective action. No replacements, no repairs, not even a partial remedy. I attempted to escalate the issue by contacting the Director of Customer Service multiple times — via voicemail, email, and even LinkedIn — but received no response. I gave them a full week to respond, hoping for some good faith effort to make things right, and was completely ignored. At this point, my only recourse is to warn other homeowners and remodelers. If you're considering Wellborn cabinets, think very carefully before investing your money. What should have been a dream kitchen turned into months of frustration, empty promises, and ultimately, a brand that refused to stand behind its product. Wellborn markets itself as a premium cabinet maker, but what I experienced was subpar craftsmanship and a complete lack of accountability. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

We recently used Wellborn Cabinet in our kitchen renovation, and they exceeded our expectations. The cabinets are exceptional quality. We couldn't be happier with our choice and highly recommend.

Beautiful cabinets with outstanding quality. Surprised to see negative reviews, we had a great experience! They don't work directly with homeowners so make sure you have a trusted dealer that knows how to design and install.

I am so disappointed in my kitchen cabinets, I wish I could select zero stars. We waited for many years before selecting these cabinets. I wish I did more research. The quality is below awful. The paint started chipping off of the cabinets at about 23 months. I did request replacement faces for the cabinets. I had to answer a very lengthy questionnaire but I did receive new faces for the drawers and cabinets involved. Unfortunately the replacements were also low quality and are chipping as we speak. The cabinets do not clean. They seem to retain smudges in the areas by the handles. I am now getting bids from painters to paint these cabinets correctly. One of the worst choices of my homeowner life. I wish I could go back in time and make a different choice. The cabinets I replaced were 25 years old and in much better condition. Hope this review makes you select a different cabinet.

We had two bathrooms remodeled about a year ago and our contractor had us select wellbo4n vanities and cabinets. We are so very happy with them. The cabinets are well-made and solid. Drawers operat we smoothly. They offer a great selection of styles and colors. I would definitely choose them again for any future remodels.

⚠️ Caution: Not a reliable cabinet maker! Buyer beware! Wellborn Cabinet cashed my check almost a year ago and I have damaged cabinets, missing doors, poor finishes and sssllloooowww service. I recommend choosing a different company!

We ordered office cabinets and they so shallow They cant fit a file folder. I had to remove the label tab and ket them slide down. I complained to the seller/installer and he said “Me too! I bought a whole wall for the entire new office and none of them fit in mine either”. The upper shelf is so narrow it doesn’t fit file folder or note 8 1/2 x 11 pad

Basic shaker cabinets took 18 weeks to come in and several came damaged. Discovered many not square when we tried to template for countertops. Will be another 6 weeks for replacements. Customer service and sales rep refuse to speak with me because they do not consider me their customer and will only talk to my dealer. Hoping there are no issues with the replacement cabinets. Not what was expected after paying $16k

Cabinets pealed in the first month of being installed. They blamed it on humidity All the corners had this very small crack that turned into a big flake. They looked terrible after just 1 year. Manufacturer replaced a few not all that were chipping at their discretion. Problem they had a slight color difference. What a joke would not buy these cabinets. Been trying to get them replaced company refuse to speak to me. At one point said they would replace fronts but not ends of cabinets. Management is as bad as the cabinets.

After waiting almost 8 months for our full plywood construction Wellborn kitchen cabinets, we were very disappointed. Several were out of square, many of the doors were chipped, damaged, or had poor finish quality. My contractor sent pics and the seller put orders to have them replaced. After waiting for months, the new cabinets were again out of square. Doors damaged, wrong size, the drawers could not be aligned, etc etc. This is still going on today. I would never ever recommend Wellborn cabinets to anybody.

STAY AWAY WE HAVE TERMITS THAT WERE BROUGHT IN WITH THE CABINETS. I had and paid for a WDO inspection done by 2 companys I also had 3 pest control companys concure that the termites were in the cabinets. I reached out to wellborn for a little help on treeting the cabinets. and they pretty much told me to pound salt. the called the CEO and he never called back I was not looking for alot just help on paying for the treetment since I paid over 20k for the cabnets.

Very disappointed with the quality!! We are builders and have used Wellborn Cabinets in the past. We waited 6 months for cabinets. Promised to deliver in 3 months. Poor quality and several construction problems. One of the examples - Soft close drawers do not work. Sorry to see a US made cabinet company that carried such a great reputation making a poor quality product.
