Worthington Architectural Millwork

I worked with Worthington Millwork as the architect for Timberwood Tap House, a 6,000 sq. ft. new bar and restaurant in Charlottesville, VA. In creating the restaurant design, the millwork was critical in defining each of the spaces through dynamic ceiling elements and wood paneled walls. We came to Worthington with a design concept and they worked with us to realize this vision. Alycia always greeted us with a big smile and a "can-do" attitude. She worked with us to make sure they understood the scope of the project and kept us within our budget. Jason and his team delivered a gorgeous product that gives the restaurant it's own unique character. I look forward to our next collaboration!

Alycia Worthington (co-owner) is creative, artistic, and understanding as a designer and project manager, but most importantly, a true professional - an endlessly patient listener when I sometimes waffled around decisions. She presented ideas that clearly illustrated how well she had heard my desires, and still managed to challenge me to think outside the box, to my great benefit and all within budget. Jason Worthington (co-owner) is clearly passionate about his work, with many years of museum quality cabinet-making experience, and impeccably handcrafted the special pieces of wood that transformed my kitchen and my home, leaving no detail unfinished, down to the Shaker walnut pegs. George Creswell brought his building expertise to the project with the movement of walls, doors and windows, all done precisely. Many times I watched them all work in my house and the desire for perfection was evident, the result just gorgeous. If you get a chance to visit their shop, it's amazing - large, clean, inspiring, full of beautiful work - and if you hire them, you will be very happy with the result.
