We hired tony for floor to ceiling bookcases that wrapped around two walls. He matched the existing crown molding and base boards perfectly. The bookcases look like they were original to the house!”

“Jill’s engineering background is her secret weapon to the perfect kitchen design. I knew that she would be able to create an extremely functional kitchen out of our existing space. But having seen the beautiful kitchens that Jill has designed, we were skeptical that she would not be able to design our kitchen within our limited budget. With kids in college, we had decided not to do the dream kitchen that we had planned. Jill scaled back the cost of the kitchen without sacrificing the design. Not only was the kitchen within the budget, it is more beautiful than we could have ever imagined. The cabinets from Plain & Fancy are absolutely gorgeous and of the finest craftsmanship. The details that Jill has chosen have made all of the difference in the design of the kitchen and its functionality. She helped us chose our contractors as well and was there every step of the way making changes that make the kitchen truly custom. We reworked the space to better suit our families needs and also created a fantastic area for entertaining. We needed more work space and storage. The design Darren came up with used every inch of space we had to transform our kitchen into a beautiful and highly functional work/entertaining area. “We love our new kitchen. Open Door Building Solutions was a joy to work with from the start. Emily started by asking all the questions we hadn't considered. How were we going to use the space? What's most important to us? She counseled us about many things we had overlooked things like door closures, hinges and the right quality cabinetry to fit in our budget. The helped us prioritize where to spend our money and where we could save. The design process was longer than I anticipated, but the OBDS team was patient as we weighed our options. They answered our questions, listened to our requests and quickly adjusted plans accordingly. We had a lot of questions, about everything, but calls and emails were responded to promptly and I never felt like a burden. Once we decided on the final design, materials etc., Emily reviewed our complete order in detail, confirmed pricing and submitted it to the cabinet manufaturer. Our cabinets arrived a week early with no issues. The installation process was relatively seamless, save for a few issues with our house (not the cabinets). Once the cabinets were in place, Open Door brought us several counter samples based on what we liked and our budget. She helped coordinate our granite order and ensured that everything was in place for timely delivery. My wife and I enjoy cooking and entertaining. Our new kitchen is an attractive and functional place where we can do both. When it comes time to remodel our bathroom, we will definitely call Emily and Open Door Building Solutions again.”
