Ed Warfield Woodworks
Custom Pantry Contractors in Chico
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsNovember 29, 2014
“As a traditionalist craftsman first and general contractor second, I can say that I am uniquely qualified to judge cabinet makers' abilities and rate their work. Ed Warfield Woodworks produces THE VERY BEST casework that I have ever put my hands on. The layout, proportions, joinery, and finish were all flawless. I am usually a fan of face frame cabinetry over frameless, but the results of this shop's work were unparalleled. The pieces that would have served as "fillers" on manufactured or box store cabinets served to simulate flush-inset work and were all identical in size. Everywhere that a cabinet met a wall these fillers were slightly oversized so that they could be scribed to fit the old, out of plumb walls perfectly. There were chases hidden in the bottom of the uppers with discrete "fishing holes" to make pulling undercabinet lighting wires very easy. The conversion varnish finish looked and felt like real satin. Great photography is responsible for making much of the work on this website look the way it does, but this shop's work looks that way in real life.”
