“I hired Focal Pointe to renovate and update my mother's house, which was built in 1960 and had had very little renovation or freshening over the years. I asked Focal Pointe to do the following: a gut renovation of the kitchen, a gut renovation of two bathrooms, new flooring in the kitchen and hallway, new flooring in one half of the basement which had seen significant water damage, installation of a flat screen TV in the den (which required rewiring), selection and installation of new light fixtures throughout the house, selection and installation of new door hardware throughout the house, and updating electrical outlets to three prongs from two. I've been extremely pleased with Focal Pointe's performance. Frank, the owner of the company, is experienced, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the work. I was impressed from the start when he submitted detailed proposals and sketches for the kitchen and bath renovations, unlike other contractors I interviewed who didn't want to put any effort into a proposal until I paid them something. Frank was also very efficient in scheduling appointments with suppliers, so that I only had to spend a total of two days in choosing cabinetry, appliances, fixtures, etcetera, and at each appointment we had instant personal attention from the salespeople. The quality of the work has been excellent. The kitchen in particular is like a miracle appeared in the house. Frank had some ideas about the kitchen that I had not thought of that made it beautiful and special. Frank's team, which includes his son, knows what they're doing and has great attention to detail. They really care about doing a high quality job. They also performed the work promptly without any delays. I highly, highly recommend this company.”

“I had a few companies quote my project and they couldn't do the work because they were just middle men ordering out of a catalog. Finally I found East English Millworks and they turned out to be the company I was waiting for. We did a half restoration, half new build kitchen cabinet project in an old home that required more care and attention to detail than a normal full new build project would have. The other companies seemed annoyed with my project while Davon enjoyed the challenge. He took lots of extra time making things right and didn't blink when we changed our minds on a few things. “We hired Jeremy and his company to handle to kitchen renovation. We went with new cabinets, granite countertops, new island and some changes to the layout i.e. reouting plumbing, outlets etc... Jeremy was very accessible and professional and did a good job coordinating the sub contractors he had in to do the work. After over a year with our new kitchen i am happy to say we love it as much now as the day it was installed. The only regret i have is not being more persistant on routing the over the range microwave outside the home. The vents were offset and so the microwave recirculated the vent through filters and back into the kitchen. I do regret this compromise. Other i would recommend Jeremy and Unique Kitchens to my family and friends.”
