“In January of 2016, a 75-year-old internal shower valve failed causing extensive water damage to a second floor bathroom and the kitchen below. It was immediately apparent that I was facing a total replacement of the kitchen and was truly overwhelmed. My General Contractor, Paul Snyder of Great Spaces Inc., referred me to Robert at Boyce Lumber to design the kitchen. After our first meeting, I knew we would work well together. Robert’s knowledge and years of experience gave me confidence that he would do an outstanding job. Knowing this and having a clean slate to work with, I created a vision. However, it was obvious that there were significant challenges. Matching the high quality of construction and design of the rest of the house was one challenge. Blending the adjacent Butler Pantry and laundry area to create a more functional and esthetically pleasing greater kitchen area was another. Robert was the perfect fit for meeting these challenges. His appreciation for the historic character of the house and his attention to detail were extremely valuable.
