“In early 2015, my husband and I bought his childhood home which was in an ideal location on the water on Merritt Island but had been neglected for ten years or more. The decision was made to demolish it to start over & rebuild on the site. I had my own ideas for what we wanted and was referred to MelD Studio by our contractor. We felt an immediate connection at our first meeting. I worked closely with Jerry Balletti to design a new home that utilized every bit of available space on the small lot. The size of the lot along with the county restrictions presented a real challenge. Jerry was very good at listening to my vision for our home. He had excellent ideas and worked diligently to give us what we wanted in the design. We came up with a plan and met several times over the course of a couple months, discussing every detail until we got it "right." Jerry really felt like a friend during the process. It was a comfortable experience. He totally understood where I was going with the ideas that I presented, and did his best to accommodate my vision. My experience couldn't have been any better.
