I would not recommend carpet cleaning by Alexanian. I called and had a 5X7 carpet picked up for cleaning. The carpet was delivered back about a week later. I paid $110.00. Although it looked clean it still smelled dusty and dirty. I called and was assured they would clean the carpet again. I also had a matching carpet 8X10 and asked if it could be picked up for cleaning and repairs. I asked that I be called with an estimate before proceeding. I was called with an estimate for cleaning and repair that far exceeded the value of the rug. I asked that they The manager called me back and said I had to pay them 100.00 for pick up. I explained that the team was already at my home picking up the original carpet for re cleaning and had already had paid 110.00. I was told that pick up and estimates were not free and now he is refusing to return the original rug that I paid for. Now I am out a carpet and 110.00 Please note that Alexanian’s ad indicates free pick up And delivery Very disappointing and expensive

We had five rooms and a hallway redone in hardwood and two sets of stairs done in carpet by the Hamilton Store. We have had an excellent experience from finding the flooring with Garo and Rick to the installation done by Shawn and his team. Both Garo and Rick did a follow up after the job was completed just to make sure we were happy. Thank you so much guys.

Terrible customer service in London Ontario. Over estimated amount of flooring I needed and have a terrible return policy. They have a great selection which is why I choose them over other companies. Too bad there customer service is terrible because I have many more rooms to renovate.

We hired Alexanian in Kanata to replace our upstairs carpets. Tony in sales was excellent and helped us make the right carpet choice for us which was berber wool. Chris's guys did a super install. Two rooms had carpet with flaws in it. Chris came over immediately to have a look and offerred to replace both rooms. Replacement was done within weeks and again excellent install. Very happy with product, installation, and quick response to our concerns. Would go with them again.

As an Interior Decorator, I have used Alexanian Carpet & Flooring for many projects over the years. I have used Alexanian Carpet & Flooring in Emerald Plaza Ottawa on two projects: the first for a very particular client who was very satisfied, and most recently for very particular me! On both occasions (full house carpeting) I was extremely pleased with level of service, from John Hassoun in sales, to the booking department, and through to their highly skilled installation team. They fulfilled all promises on time. Moving everything in our house is no small feat and their team of two worked diligently to ensure there were no damages to baseboards or walls so nothing had to be re-touched. The selection online was incredible and the store manager Jim at my local Guelph store was very helpful and friendly. Horrible - where do I start with this company. my husband and I bought Preverco Hardwood floors from Alexanian carpet and flooring. when our installers started installing our floors we realized all the planks had different width variations which caused gaps in our floors. we contacted Alexanian, they took a look at the floors and said yes something was wrong with the material and millwork. Alexanian then contacted preverco. We went back and forth for 2 months while our house renovation was on hold. Alexanian had no compassion for us. they did not care that we spent thousands of dollars and got defective floors. We spoke to the VP of the company Mike Ghazarian, also spoke to Allan Alexanian. they also did not care to help us. saying they can't take the lose. but we as customers can ? no one wanted to install our floors because of the millwork, not even Alexanian. Never will I step into this store again. I have been warning all my friends family and clients as well. worst company Christine

At Alexanian's we pride ourselves on customer service and always maintain a professional approach. We ensure appropriate steps prior to and during the installation process. Acclimatization of hardwood flooring is a necessary and significant prerequisite that needs to be followed prior to its installation. Improper acclimatization causes irregularities in hardwood flooring such as cupping and gaps. A trained installer ensures proper acclimatization prior to any install and will refuse to proceed if this prerequisite hasn’t been fulfilled. A qualified installer will also cull boards as required during the installation process.

In this case the client did not follow the necessary acclimatization requirements of the hardwood. The client also elected to hire their own independent tradesperson to install the hardwood flooring, and this tradesperson was not a trained flooring installer. Due to the clients lack of proper acclimatization, gaps between some of the boards were evident. Instead of the client’s tradesperson bringing the job to a “halt” to address the issue, the install continued and over 400 square feet of hardwood was installed.

Alexanian's did attempt to assist. Visits to the client’s home were made by the wood manufacturer and Alexanian's. The manufacturer came to the conclusion that there was “improper acclimatization, and unprofessional installation”. Alexanian's also replaced some of the wood in good faith and offered to assist in the installation, but our attempts to find an acceptable solution were rejected and met with profanity and unprofessional conduct.

Alexanian’s takes customer complaints very seriously, and will always offer to rectify a problem that is within our control.
