after being a loyal Stark carpet purchaser I am flabbergasted that they would install a defective carpet and not admit it, or make this right! The carpet looks like someone walked over it with ashes on their shoes. Everytime you take a step!!

I ordered 2 custom rugs that were supposed to take approximately 4 months. It has been 8 months and they still can't tell me when the rugs will be done or where they are. The reps have been extremely rude, unapologetic and unresponsive. I will never purchase anything through them again.

I have Starck carpet as a runner throughout my 4 story townhouse. It’s on the stairs as a runner and In the hallways. On 2 sets Of stairs it is wall to wall since those stairs aren’t hard wood underneath. The carpet and install was very expensive, the design is beautiful but the quality is horrible. We are a family of 4 with a dog. The carpet is about 4 years old and has lots of pulls, Loose loops, is unweaving in some areas and is also getting fuzzy. I am shocked that for this price that these are the results. When I called the local Starck dealer/rep she said it was normal wear and tear. I have a cheap grass cloth runner at our beach house and wall to wall grass cloth in the bed rooms, it is the same age as the Stark and there aren’t any pulls, fuzz or anything. I should’ve gone with the cheap stuff...very disappointing.

I found Stark to be terrific to work with. Lee and Hannah at the D & D building assisted me in finding the perfect colors for the rug, they were on time for all my deadlines, responded to me immediately when I had a question, and produced a showstopper product. This is my punchlist when looking for a good vendor for return shopping.

Paid a lot of money for a beautiful wool rug. I have a busy life with 3 kids. I specifically asked my Interior Designer about upkeep and was assured it would be "low upkeep". When the rug was delivered there were NO instructions on cleaning. My housekeeper vacuumed the rug with her vacuum cleaner and we started to see signs of damage, afterwhich the Stark spokesperson came to our house and determined it was the vacuum cleaner. After spending nearly $4000 on a rug, is Stark so cheap as to not include some basic instructions? I would not advise this rug for someone with a busy life or with shifting house cleaners. Also, aside from that, at this price point, it is fine, not spectacular.

Stark has a great selection of rugs and carpets. I have had some issues with damaged rugs in the past but their management is working to resolve the issues.
