“Grimball built an elevator shaft in our town house in downtown Charleston. Really nice work, all as quoted, and done on time. Came back as need when the elevator was installed and went over the quote and took off the charges for some work that did not need to be done. Were so dependable I gave them a house key and alarm codes. They helped find the right finishes and completed the inside of the elevator compartment for us when we were out of town. Just a pleasure to work with. I have recommended them to friends.”

“I’ve used this company on two occasions - first several years ago to build built in bookshelves/bookcases and most recently to expand my fence and relocate gate by 10’. They did a great job on both projects. I was pleased with their timelines, communication, professionalism, cost, and the overall quality of their work. I’ve had them provide an estimate on a back porch and slab expansion. I plan to use in the future for additional projects and would highly recommend.”

“FHS constructors have done numerous projects on our home renovation since starting with our kitchen renovation and hardwood floor restoration. Scott Green gave us a true and accurate detailed estimate and timeframe upfront. He completed this job on time and to both my wife and my satisfaction. He just finished a 16*16 carriage house in the backyard that is a piece of art. He has also put a new roof on our home, his crew was finished by three o’clock in the afternoon on the same day and I still have only found three nails in my yard. They were efficient and cleaned up great. When my toilet downstairs had some structural issues his crew fixed that in no time and now I can do jumping jacks on it If I wanted to. After these numerous jobs we still would recommend him to friends and family because he is honest and gets the job done right. Thanks for making our house a home FHS!”

He was always just a call away to discuss things and give advice, even on work we decided to do ourselves. As a carpenter he also made our customized window frames. “Complete first floor bath remodel in 1890's Victorian, updated but still in keeping with the style of the home. Work was cleanly & precisely done, subway tile with black border & hex tile floor...antique refinished clawfoot tub and pedestal sink. New trim to blend in with old...beautiful job! Love the finished product!!!”
