“We had a complete remodel of our kitchen including the floors in our living room, bath and laundry areas. Carolinas Custom's professional staff did an excellent job from the beginning of the design through the final implementation of the completed project. They were in constant communication keeping us updated with timeframe changes, what would be done that day, who would be doing it and when they would arrive. They did excellent work and corrected all small adjustments that needed to be completed. I highly recommend this company for any kitchen or bath job you may need.”

“I am a professional interior designer and my partner is an architect. Together we have remodeled hundreds of houses, and honestly, we are hard to please. That said, Vlad and his team recently did a bathroom remodel for us and everything came together perfectly. I have worked with Vlad for years and watched him come up in the construction industry. He is incredibly prompt, and professional. He is attuned to the details, and he is available to provide excellent customer service whenever needed. I would definitely recommend him to my friends and family!”

“I have used the Dream Home Builders and Remodelers and this time around they remodeled our bathroom and kitchen. We were extremely pleased with the friendly and very helpful customer service that we received from them. Always there to listen to our ideas and work with our suggestions. Help us with the design and we were pleased about that and showed us the care for every detail. Incredibly friendly and professional and made the work looks easy. Very professional and efficient as well. They were easy to work with especially since the communication was smooth. The cost was very reasonable and very worth it with the kind service provided. Other than some minor finishing touches that could have been done better, I am overall very satisfied with the workmanship. Their commitment to the job was amazing and the scope and quality were second to none and could only be achieved through the quality of the people working for them. Would recommend them to anyone.”
TILE COLLECTION

“I selected The Tile Collection to transform my out-of-date kitchen; this was a complete remodel (countertops, backsplash, flooring, cabinets, appliances, sink and faucet, lighting, ceiling and wall). The entire experience was excellent from start to finish. Katie Jepsky was my Tile Collection designer. She was instrumental in the successful planning, coordination, and completion of my project. Her skills and knowledge during the planning and selection of products was invaluable. I had a vision of what I wanted in a kitchen, and she was able to introduce me to the products and processes that would make that vision a reality. In addition, Katie scheduled each phase of the makeover and brought in all of the craftsmen and vendors to support the various projects (plumbers, electricians, tilers, cabinet maker, demo and finishing team). In other words, The Tile Collection coordinated every aspect of the project leaving me worry-free. Katie and I had an excellent working relationship. She was professional (confident and competent) and was friendly and enthusiastic. Once the project was time-activated, Katie kept me informed and updated systematically. If I had any questions, she was readily available; we communicated by phone and via email regularly during the work phase. All of the workmen assigned to my project, not only were knowledgeable and experienced but were some of the nicest people I've ever dealt with. They were committed to the work schedule and worked tirelessly to get everything done on time. The kitchen is beautiful and functional. I am totally satisfied with the work, the cost, and the Tile Collection. One other note: although I did not have a firm budget, I felt like I spent the right amount and got a big bang for my bucks!”

“Here is the short of my experience using Steve for my renovation. He completed Kitchen Renovation - hammered up concrete to move and add plumbing, removed wall, added structural support, added gas line, replaced windows, added venting, removed fireplace, new lighting, added waines coting in dining room and foyer, added case molding, replaced new backdoor, added trim around windows and entry doors, completed painting of kitchen and trim. I couldn't have been happier with Steve!! He knows what he is doing, he's honest, and a true professional. I will be hiring Steve again. Anybody considering hiring Steve can call me and come by to see his work. Please read below for a full review of this project and my thoughts of Steve and Detailed Interiors.... I initially reached out to Steve last year when I was thinking about doing my kitchen over. He provided a price to complete all the work I needed done. I wasn't ready at that point to move forward but the meeting went well and knew I would reach back out to him when I was ready. During the summer I decided to pay to get a kitchen design completed by a kitchen design company and hire a engineer to complete a inspection & report on what needed to be done for the design I wanted. The kitchen designer also provided me cost for cabinets, countertops, fixtures, and tile. I wasn't obligated to use them. Fast forward to the fall... I was ready to move forward with the build and was thinking about calling Steve back and before I could do that he called me out of the blue to see if I was still considering a remodel. I felt like it was meant to be that we work together. Steve and I met again and I explained where I was at in the process and that I got a design. I wasn't sure if he would want to work with subs that he wasn't familiar with so I wanted to hear his thoughts and to see his revised pricing. Due to the timing of the project and his cabinet maker being about 10 weeks out he said he would agree to take on the project as the General Contractor and complete all the structural, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical work for my project. I could have waited the 10 weeks, plus lumber costs were also on the rise as well. The kitchen designer's cabinet maker was going to only take 5 weeks. I decided to use the designer's subs for the cabinets, cabinet installation, countertops, fixtures, and tile. I think if I decided to wait for his cabinet maker his pricing would have been competitive and would have met my budget. Well I should have waited to use his cabinet maker and used his preferred countertop company. There were so many issues in those 2 areas that it made me regret not doing everything through Steve. Steve provided me a calendar for the project with tasks he was responsible for and tasks the Kitchen designer was responsible for delivering. He kept communication lines open between him and the designer. As a Project Manager myself I was pleased to receive the timeline ahead of time. Steve started just after Thanksgiving on my project. He had a lot of major work to do... Cutting up concrete to move plumbing around, removing a load bearing wall and replacing with load bearing beam, additional footing support, adding gas line for stove, and raising windows. He was at my house everyday by 8:15am and worked to at least 5:30. He had to work out in the freezing cold to cut all the wood that was needed for trim. Rain didn't stop him either, he just pulled out his canopy and continued working. He is an extremely hard worker and some days he was here until 7-7:30pm to make sure things stayed on track. If there was a day he was going to be late he would tell me the night before. He always showed up at the time he said he would. I work from home and he was very conscience of that and gave me a heads up if things would be shut off or if he had to get into the attic. He had to go through my work area to get to the attic at times. Steve is extremely neat. He prepared the work area to confine the dust and debris from the demo and construction that took place...plus to keep my dogs out of the area. :-) He cleaned up the site and vacuumed everyday ...he actually spoiled me b/c the cabinet installer was careless and messy and wasn't used to having to clean up after after he left. Again, the cabinet installer was NOT one of Steve's subs. All of Steve's subs- Plumber, Electrician, HVAC, concrete specialist were all excellent. They were professional and by the book.. they didn't cut any corners, which put my mind at ease. They all were very kind and never minded me asking questions. When Steve dug the hole to look at the existing footing he noticed that it wasn't the depth is was supposed to be at. He told me right away. Most GC's wouldn't do that. He also took it upon himself to confer with the engineer who wrote up the specifications to make sure what additional support should be added to meet code. He met all of his deadlines and never held the project up due to his work. I would most definitely hire Steve again! Next project will be in the next year or two after I recover from this one. :-)”

“I can't remember how we found David, but we are certainly happy we did. We chose David because of his creative design for our home and his respect for our wish to keep our project within the aesthetic bounds of a 1945 bungalow. He worked patiently with us on the design, repeatedly changing or scootching things around until we were comfortable. When we broke ground, his team was patient with our questions, respectful of our neighbors, timely and never left a mess. We are happy with the vendors David recommended, especially the cabinets and countertops. His flooring team was even able to match the size, color and texture of our original 1945 wood floors. David was also able to accommodate our wish to reuse materials we already had; he gave us a tutorial on salvaging brick and then lent us the tools so we could try it ourselves. Any delays were largely due to Mother Nature, and we came in only 3.5% over budget. We had one issue with a vendor, but do feel that David addressed it with us. We trusted David with our home, and all the emotion and money that comes with a renovation, and we made the right choice. We would absolutely hire David Tyson and Associates again, and continue to recommend him to everyone who asks us.”
