Today King Construction's organization has grown to include more than 100 people. Our construction supervisors have an average tenure of nearly 20 years, our crew foremen average more than 10 years, and most of our crew members have 5 years of experience. This continuity and longevity is almost unheard of in the construction industry, and it's a primary reason why our buildings are known for their fine detail and superior craftsmanship. To maintain our all-important quality control, we provide all the framing and finish materials for each of our projects. We also build all of our components: stalls, grilles, aisle doors, Dutch doors, cupolas and an assortment of fittings for the barn interiors. The combined retail, coffee shop and restaurant were built using high-efficiency mechanical systems and certified LEED Platinum standard using over a dozen species of reclaimed wood from within the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions. Other notable projects include a renovation of a mid-century modern Frank Weiss designed residence in Bala Cynwyd and the historic restoration to a George Woodward commissioned residence by architect Robert R. McGoodwin in West Mt. Airy. Our focus as a firm has always been aimed toward the adaptive reuse of existing buildings.
