“David, Lisa, and the Indigo team gut renovated our kitchen and master bath in Summer 2019. We were working with a very tight timeline, as we wanted to start renovation the day we closed on the house so that the work could be completed before having to move in. They were incredibly accommodating and responsive to our needs, and even worked with us to walk through the house before closing in order to provide us with a quote and project scope/thoughts. We brought to them some pretty fully-baked design plans (no structural changes to the footprint), and they did an amazing job of bringing them to life, including suggesting small changes or details that we hadn't considered, but that really made for a beautiful finished product. Not only did they do great work, but the contractors they worked with were professional, friendly, and respectful of our home. We trusted David and his team to deal with the details, and were able to pop in as desired, versus spending a ton of our time overseeing progress, etc. He was also gracious enough to let us bring in and worked around additional vendors with whom we had a relationship for painting and non-project-related flooring, which we appreciated, and felt above-and-beyond. He was incredibly responsive to our texts and emails, and helped facilitate quick decisions and problem-solving, where needed. He and his team managed to deliver us a fully finished product within the time estimate and in line with their initial quote (only budget increases were where we made decisions to upgrade certain appliances or components), and he regularly communicated costs and timing changes throughout the process. We interviewed a few companies, and researched quite a few more that we didn't; ultimately, we went with Indigo because we were confident in both their work product and their communication/business process. We would recommend them to anyone with absolute confidence, and will assuredly use them for any future projects.”

“We initially contacted The ABL Group for some interior painting after a very bad situation with another person/company that claimed to be an interior designer in Riverwoods. We quickly learned that ABL offers a wealth of experience and talent with painting AND other services. Their estimates came back right where it should be for a high quality painter that builds relationships. We asked for and contacted the 4 references provided, which all gave very positive reviews. Ultimately our project expanded to also include a full custom closet design and install, new door installation (where there was a window) and two replacements, and installation of a HVAC solution to turn a 3-season room into a 4 season room. We had received a couple quotes from nationally advertised closet companies to build out a closet room that had never been built out as a closet. I quickly learned that while those cabinets look great, they are often made of pressboard and don't age well. ABL deals in high-end wood cabinets. The quote came in only slightly higher than the pressboard quotes. Painting: We couldn't be happier with the paint job. The quality is high as I expected, but what was exceptional was their help in selecting color. One of the areas to paint was an entrance foyer that sets the tone when you first enter the home. At their suggestion, they painted entire sections with options we had selected to help us pick the perfect shade. In another area, they needed to match a faux painting pattern next to the door that was installed. So they bring in a faux paint matching expert who absolutely nails it. I was truly impressed. Closet: The end result is stunning! We're so pleased with our new closet. Getting there is a long process of back and forth design and dealing with options. That's a part of the process that I didn't like as much, but that wasn't ABL's fault. To their credit, they did a nice job of providing options to reel in the infinite choices. I was very impressed with their ability to deal with things as the project progressed. For example, we installed a "pocket" door between the bath and closet and the wall was brick underneath. They just dealt with it and solved the problem. Another example is the lighting. The room now has an entry from an additional side, but no light switch. Instead of rewiring and tearing up walls, they installed an elegant motion detector that controls the lighting upon entrance and exit. Perhaps I'm easily impressed, but they identified the issue and solved it. Many of the closet companies we talked to didn't include services such as electrical or HVAC. As we discovered, ABL moves outlets, installs lights and moves HVAC vents without drama and importantly without extending their hand for additional payment. I can't imagine hiring a closet company that doesn't provide these services as a part of the package. I will say that their quality and service is done with thoughtful purpose and contemplation. They don't work at breakneck speed. I had a closet deadline and they made it - but only with hours to spare. I'm speaking mainly of our closet, which had many, many moving parts. In hindsight, the painting was fast and easy, so I'll qualify the above statement with if you have a construction project and are in a rush, ask for a realistic timeline. I could go on and on about other elements, but the bottom line is we're very happy with the services provided by ABL and would hire them again without hesitation. They do very high quality work, at very fair prices in a very professional manner.”

“Rite Way created a beautiful and custom full bathroom on the first floor of our 100 year old home. The restroom was created from a useless small room in the rear of the house and is now one of the most beautiful rooms in the house. We were able to make every decision on finishes from start to finish and were extremely pleased with the end result. The work started at the height of the hottest summer on record and finished days before we returned home from the hospital with our first child. Everything was clean during the construction and the contractors were a joy to have in our home. There is not a single visitor that comes to our home that isn't overly impressed with the way the room turned out and we have not had a single issue with the workmanship or quality of the room. Having found a beautiful home in Glencoe slated for demolition, I removed 800 sq ft of the vintage quarter sawn and rift sawn floors, de-nailed them and brought them home. Then came the search for the installer. I called around and had a classified ad up. Michael from Mysha's Flooring came out to bid on the job. He was professional and full of knowledgable tips for us whether we used his services or not. A great guy. His bid was not the lowest, but we felt confident in his work. So we decided to hire him. He removed the old flooring and installed the reclaimed, quickly and carefully. Always aware of surrounding areas and kept the job site clean and organized. He kept us in the loop on all phases of the job. I feel like we hit the jackpot with Michael. The floors look beautiful and full of character. He is a lovely person and a truly skilled craftsman with high standards. Would highly recommend him.”
