Albemarle Countertop Company

Our project did not go smoothly with Albemarle. Though recommended by our architect, I would not use them again and cannot recommend a company with lack of attention to detail. Slabs that were chosen were unavailable later; kitchen install produced badly joined slabs in granite; and a broken soapstone backsplash was installed anyway. A bathroom backsplash had to be removed and milled down because no one measured properly for the faucet size. When I insisted that this be done, I met resistance in "no one uses the pop up so it doesn't matter." Maybe I didn't get the A team for install, but why not? What ever happened to pleasing the customer? Proceed with caution if you use this company.

We produce a unique internationally recognized solid glass countertop made entirely of locally sourced recycled bottles. I have worked with Wes Carter and his team at the Albemarle Countertop Company for several years on both small and large fabrication projects. I have worked with these folks over the past five years and their caring interest in a project is remarkable. I have met the owner and he is always available and willing to explain options. The office staff is especially competent. They have product knowledge of every service they offer and every project they sell. In particular is a lady named Amy. She is particularly impressive with her instant recall of available options, patience to answer any/all questions and most pleasant attitude. If she is busy, she will always call you back; if she is tied up with another customer she'll be in contact ASAP. There is nobody else in Charlottesville I'll deal with when I need granite/soapstone/quartz, etc. Try them...you'll like them.

Albemarle Countertop is always great to work with. They have done a number of our counters in Latitude 38 houses. This last one was a 2cm white carrara marble, beautiful. They are always very accommodating and address any special things that come up. Check out their new showroom!
