In business since March 2011, Great Lakes Granite Works (GLGW) is a privately held company offering artisan-quality fabrication of granite, marble, soapstone, limestone, travertine, onyx, quartzite and engineered quartz, along with related products, consultation, estimation, and precision installation services. GLGW serves a continuum of customers and clients, from individual homeowners needing a small vanity top; to interior designers and contractors working on renovation projects; commercial builders constructing restaurants, offices and other retail establishments; and even elite custom homebuilders who call on GLGW for entire developments or large custom estates. GLGW has assets that allow us to achieve more than other stone fabricators and installers in the area. One very significant asset is our people. Everyone has at least five years’ experience, and most have much more. GLGW also stands out in customer service. We feel it is important to take the time to inform clients about such things as: -Installation options and choices that will improve the esthetics, practicality or quality of the finished product -Comparisons of the benefits of various stone surfaces -Questions they should be asking about their projects in order to get the best result. In addition, we respond immediately for estimates, and work with you until your project is ‘just right.’ Our high quality workmanship is evident in our dedication to minimal seaming, precise installation and superior fabrication. Another major advantage is our inventory; we have 30 – 40 different stones and colors available on premises at any given time. In addition, we work with modern computerized equipment and cutting tools, and continue to update our equipment to enhance our capabilities. Finally, we have strong ongoing relationships with renowned local building firms, interior designers and general contractors. Joe from great lakes goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. The whole team is professional, knowledgeable, and kind and take pride in their work. Seams in quartzite or granite can be tricky. They lined up the pattern and did exceptional job pulling the stone together. Use this company. You will be happy you did!!

Great Lakes Granite Works put in the soapstone counters in our kitchen and pantry remodel we did in the summer of 2013. Bill and Carrie were great to work with and both were very friendly and professional in their relationship with us. We had checked out a few other stone yards in the area and found the best looking slabs of soapstone at GLGW, and Bill gave us lots of time to look over the slabs to pick the ones we wanted and give us a chance to see how the patterns would work for our needs. Bill's measurements of the kitchen and cabinets, and the care of the installers made the pieces fit perfectly on the cabinets and around the farmhouse sink, in addition to the special backsplashes we had them make for the back of the sink and range. I would heartily recommend them to anyone, and will use GLGW in the future!

I have had several great experiences with Great lakes Granite Works. We first hired them to put granite countertops in our kitchen. After they did such a wonderful job, we hired them again to put granite countertops in two of our bathrooms, with the most recent one being our master bath. One of the things that impressed me, was the personal attention I received each time I went into the store. Carrie always seemed to know what "look" I was trying to achieve, even when I didn't know exactly how to explain it to her. She did a fabulous job all 3 times in helping me pick out my granite pieces. They also did a great job with the installations and with delivering our countertops on time. I felt that their prices were fair and reasonable and I would VERY confidently recommend Great Lakes Granite Works to all of my friends!!
