MASTERCRAFT MARBLE & GRANITE

I contacted Mastercraft Marble & Granite to get an estimate for adjusting the width of my marble counter top to fit a new stove. Ken Kass, the owner, came out and clearly had a deep knowledge of the subject. But what really impressed me was after spending over 45 minutes patiently answering all my questions and reviewing options, he gave me the advice he'd follow himself: buy the stove and see if it fits before I do any work. He said there was a good chance it would fit, since the actual width is often a bit less than the listed spec. Talk about integrity and a craftsman you can put your trust in! And he didn't even charge me for the visit. Ken really puts the customer first and is definitely someone I plan to contact for future projects.

Ken Kass is the owner and a true enthusiast! He really enjoys his work and it shows. He has a great rapport with team. He lights up when discussing stone and installation options. This was our first time working with Ken. It was a ‘small’ job. We had built-ins installed around our fireplace. We wanted stone for the cabinet tops and the fireplace surround. Ken was very good about explaining the types of stone that would do a good job for this installation. This included some discussion about using a less expensive stone than what we had originally been leaning toward. The installation option he recommended is stunning. It requires meticulous cutting of the stone off-site to create a single ‘U’ shaped piece to go around the fireplace opening. This approach meant the natural patterns in the stone are uninterrupted – unlike the more typical 3 piece installation of two vertical pieces with one horizontal piece across the top. It looks absolutely beautiful! I would definitely work with Ken again!
