If you are looking for a designer for any project, save yourself some time and anxiety and hire her. I was one of those people who has a pretty particular aesthetic I was trying to achieve, but of course was also mindful of spending consciously and getting the highest visual impact while using pieces I already had. I spent quite a long time searching for designers online, wading through hundreds of images I liked, and working my way backwards to trace the designer origin of those images, interview them, and see if it was a fit from a project / budget perspective. Ruchi was far and away the best fit from an aesthetic, working style, and approach to project management / budget perspective of all of the people I spoke to. We started our project in late fall, with the aim of reworking the floorplan slightly (no material renovations, but we did include some custom cabinetry / bar, new lighting fixture installations, new bathroom sink/toilet/fixtures, and custom molding all throughout the apartment, etc, as well as selection of soft furnishings to make a cohesive design throughout the home). Ruchi helped optimize the floorplan and layout, then helped select colors, finishes, and oversaw the project work / deliveries until everything was completed in late Jan. I couldn't be happier with how everything has turned out and we get so many compliments from friends and visitors on how beautiful the space is. My husband and I have loved working with Ruchi so much that we have just asked her to take on a larger "Phase 2" scope of more fulsome kitchen and bathroom renovation for us.
