“I bought a small condo in San Francisco that I wanted to update into the 21st century, and I happened to walk into Ken Burghardt's Domicile's beautiful showroom. I had never done a kitchen remodel before, and Ken was so incredibly patient to walk me through the entire process. He came to my place to help me re-design my kitchen and overall floor plan. What was once a very small galley kitchen is now an open floor kitchen plan (that even takes into account some vents/gas pipes we couldn't move). Ken was creative in his approach to making the best of the small space I had to work with. He kept working with me to finally come up with a kitchen design that worked for me and my family. And he referred me to a contractor that's done an incredible job implementing his vision. I highly recommend working with Ken. He's a great kitchen designer. And he's built me a beautiful kitchen that my friends keep complimenting.”

“If you've been on Susan's website and seen the magnificent fireplace, ( I'm a little prejudice), it is mine. Our house was built in 1923 and had an old brick fireplace that did nothing for the updated living room. Susan suggested a combination of metallic look tiles and Cherry wood. we sent her the dimensions and she returned a design concept for the fireplace, mantle and suggestions for the hearth, all of which we executed to create the look you see. I have never done any tile work like this so she provided all the advice I needed including specific grout, installation instructions and even final polishing techniques. As we live in NY we bought all the suggested installation products locally and had the tiles shipped. Everything we needed came as promised and even with a few extra pieces, just in case. I would never have undertaken a job like this without her help and confident design expertise. You see a fan shaped piece in the middle of the fireplace. That was created from one of her glass fans...they are beautiful. I purchased one of the glass pieces as well and it sits on a table I made just to display it. Creates a wonderful balance of design in the large room. We get comments on the glass fan all the time and everyone who has stepped into our living room just has to go over and touch the fireplace...it just draws that attention. I would use Susan again given the need and have recommended her to friends. Great experience.”
