“We worked with Jon to remove a load bearing wall in our kitchen to open up our floor plan. He gave us a fast and reasonable quote. This was our first large house project so we didn’t have a lot of experience, but Jon talked us through everything and answered all of our questions. He handled getting permits, found us a great architectural engineer (?) who made sure all of the documentation was ready to go the first time around. Jon was very thorough while preparing for the job. The job took around a month to be completed but we had outside factors that would cause slight delays but Jon communicated throughout the entire experience so we were never left guessing. Of course as it goes we ended up adding in a few other related projects like covering our popcorn ceiling, patching drywall, flattening out a wall, adding a backsplash, and even building a steel frame for our new kitchen peninsula- including finishing the columns. Jon would do things that he wasn’t even asked to do- he leveled our kitchen cabinets (which were a mess, we have a very uneven house!) which makes our kitchen feel so much more put together. We used a countertop place directly (which Jon recommended) and when they came to measure they suggested we build a frame for our dishwasher- which the previous owner of our house did not do. We only had a few days before the countertops were getting installed and I texted Jon to see if he could help and he came out the next day and made it happen for us. He also recommended a fantastic electrician! Jon was awesome, he takes pride in what he does and he truly cares about how jobs get done. We are SO happy with him and his work and I will definitely use him for future projects.”
