“Seriously where do I begin? I am not sure I am enough of a wordsmith to adequately describe how completely and utterly DELIGHTED I am with EVERY SINGLE ASPECT of the remodel that MG Construction and Decks did on my decrepit old back yard decks. Visit one was with the owner Michael- and he seemed to have a vision in line with what I wanted. I only wish I could have set him loose on the entire back yard but my budget was constrained to the deck area (FOR NOW ;-D ). Everyone at this company seems to be dog lovers so my 2 Golden Retrievers were also delighted with my choice of contractor- they even have the family Pomeranian pictured on their trucks! Visit 2 was Michael (owner), Mike (the account coordinator) and Mikey (my future job boss) and I was very impressed with the knowledge and trust these three had in each other. All good vibes- zero red flags- immaculate paperwork spelling everything out in intricate detail (my dad was an attorney, so organization impresses me), so I signed and next thing I knew we were off and running. Holy cow can these guys work or what! Demolition was pretty much done in a day and framing went up right after. Every morning Mikey would brief me on what was happening. Every afternoon they left the place virtually spotless (OK- yes, I am a Virgo and have dogs to worry about -so occasionally I found a screw hidden in a crack they missed but I had to HUNT to find anything!). If there were issues, I was immediately notified. If there was a potential add-on to the contract I wanted, I’d get the quote by end of day to decide. When there were color and style decisions to be made, I quickly learned that my amazing job boss Mikey seemed to be able to read my mind and knew exactly what I would ask for before I opened my mouth. Lest you think I am a pushover, the previous contractors I hired for a different job got raked over the coals pretty much every day for ineptitude- NOT THESE GUYS!! MGC you can sit back with your glass of wine and let them do what they do BEST and just enjoy the show. We had to work around Christmas and New Years holidays, sourcing issues, and VERY inclement weather but they competed the job in 7 weeks… and I never even got mildly miffed that entire time! The resulting 3 level deck/outdoor area is a-frickin’-mazing!!! I had them relocate my spa so the central deck area has more utility. The lower and upper decks are now built to be open and sunny but also keep out more of the weather. Its beautiful and modern and all made of materials that are much less likely to rot, weather, or be termite food. So, if you are a discriminating consumer that wants the most unbelievable results you could possibly conceive of in your home remodel, please call MG Construction and Decks!! I swear on my honor as a Virgo, Mother of Twins, Year of the Dog, picky beyond human comprehension person that they will do a better job than ANYONE you could possibly hire.
