This project required tearing down an old rickety deck and replacing it with a sturdy deck in difficult working conditions. We were able to watch this whole process from our windows. The company/crew paid a great deal of attention in every step to make this new deck solid. The finished deck is beautiful and totally secure. You could walk or dance on it with confidence (you should always dance with confidence). It was a pleasure working with this whole crew, start to finish, very professional. We couldn't be happier.

From my first communication I could tell we were going to work great together on this project. The aluminum handrails, post, and cables were by far the best price I could find. After extensive research I went with Stainless Cable Solutions and my wife and I are so happy we did. The project turned out to be beautiful. I'm so happy I went went this material. Everything was engineered to fit together perfectly. I felt that I received top notch customer service from start to finish, and Max explained the process very well. I would believe that any homeowner with any moderate handyman skills would be able to successfully install this product. Our deck needed to be restained. We contacted several companies to get bids. Dari from NW Deck & Fence Restoration was on-time, gave clear explanations of what his work would entail. He also Wrote the most thorough and thoughtful bid of the four professionals we contacted. We hired him and were very impressed at the time and care he took to prep our deck. He did an excellent job. Our deck looks beautiful. We plan on hiring NW Deck & Fence Restoration to do restoration of our old cedar fence and gate next month.

We are so pleased with our decision to use Custom Concrete Construction for our total backyard renovation. I contacted three other companies for bids but decided on CCC not only because of the pictures of their past projects and competitive rates but because Murray had such great follow through and seemed like he would be easy to work with which all turned out to be true. He promptly answered all of my calls and texts and kept me updated on the project through every phase and his crew was equally professional. We'd hired a landscape designer so we already had the plans but Murray made suggestions for improving some details to the design which consisted of almost 1100 sq ft in sand finish concrete patios, extensive stairs and a concrete fire pit. The workmanship is beautiful and everyone that sees it has been truly impressed. Murray was also able to stay within our budget and finish the project on time. Next year we'll be redesigning our front yard with some concrete and a new driveway and we will definitely be calling Murray again! Thank you!

We have worked with many contractors over the years, but Busy B’s is by far the best one we have ever used. Their deck building skills were top-notch, and their attention to every little detail was amazing. Our large complex deck project went very smoothly because Duane carefully coordinated every step and always kept us informed. All of the members of the crew were extremely pleasant, hard-working, and took great pride in their work. We really enjoyed having them at our home. If you have a project, I highly recommend that you hire Busy B’s - you definitely will be glad that you did.

Mark built a beautiful deck outside our bedroom slider. He and his crew were on time, respectful, and worked hard each day. When it was discovered that the lumber yard messed up on the order, Mark was able to suggest a modification to the design that was better than the original. Even though it was more out of pocket on his end, he honored the original price. I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

Five stars is not a high enough recommendation for PDX Deck and Fence. Jeff, the owner, is extraordinary and his 2 member crew has been with him for several years, he does not use a "pick up" crew, only experienced professionals. The workmanship and detail that was put into our major deck rebuild was outstanding. He corrected a number of sloppy areas that had been done several years ago by one of the best known, and most advertised local companies. Jeff's attention to detail, his incredible communication, and outstanding craftmanship make him a rare find in today's construction industry. He was more than fair in his pricing, and when extra items arose, as they always do, he couldn't have been more honest and professional.

Three Rivers Custom Decks provided high quality service at a competitive price. The work commenced in a timely manner, and I was kept well informed of the schedule. My deck is on a second story and there was a beautiful tree right smack in their way. Joe, Edgar, and Dave worked around and preserved the tree in its entirety. Also I told them that my father had done some work on my previous deck and the job foreman, Joe, very kindly saved a piece of my fathers work - it meant a lot to me. The job was completed on schedule. A new deck is a great investment in your home, and with composite, it's so nice not to have to hassle with staining and/or peeling paint. When we moved into our new home it had a covered porch which I wanted to screen in for bug-free dining and a "catio" for our inside-only cat. And keep the view of the back yard. None of the contractors seemed to know what I wanted. Then finally I was referred to Kraft Screen and Door. Jake came out, understood immediately what I wanted, and proposed a design. I was happy. A few days later he came with an even better idea and a sample of what he had in mind. He installed it a few weeks later. I love it. It is a clean look with wide panels that preserve the view of the back yard. It was on time, on budget, and excellent workmanship. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Paul missed multiple appointments and his excuse was that he didn’t put it in his calendar. With contractors getting bad reviews for misrepresentation, Paul’s actions convinced us that he was not trustworthy from the start.

Installed a mechanized window bank awning. Made a huge difference in keeping our living room cool in 100 degree temperatures. The entire team was friendly and professional.

We regret hiring Creative Decks to build an awning for our deck in November 2021. The process was smooth to get a quote, schedule the work, and complete the awning. We loved our new awning! But as soon as it started raining we noticed leaks in several places along the length where it connects to the siding. One of the leaks was funneling water down our kitchen window too fast for the drainage holes to manage and the kitchen window started leaking into the interior. I sent photos and videos of the leaks and Michael, our project manager, responded that he would send someone to fix them. I had to follow up multiple times to ask when someone would be able to come. Michael finally sent help 5 months later on March 25, 2022. The person who came to fix the leaks explained that the wrong washers had been used on our awning in the first place. He replaced all of the washers with the correct washers. I appreciated him being forthright about the mixup, but it didn't help with my concerns about the quality of the overall work. Because most of the leaks don't occur near the bolts, but rather along the header, I asked what could be causing those. And in particular, if they could be leaking behind the header. He reassured me the leaks couldn't be going into the siding and did a heavy line of caulking along the header. I was assured that the caulking, though ugly and visible through the clear roof panels, would stop the leaks. It didn't. I was told to let Michael know if we still had leaks so they could come back and try again. When it rained next there were new leaks in different places along the header. I sent more photos and videos and got no response. It's now November 2022. It's been nearly a year since the awning was built and 7 months since the first attempted fix. I've sent many messages and calls with photos and videos of the leaks. The company has been unresponsive. In addition to reaching out to Michael repeatedly, I've attempted to reach anyone else at Creative Fences & Decks. Their voicemail boxes are all full and there's no email address listed on their website. Now that the rain has started again, we're back to playing "where are the leaks today?". Currently, a shoe cabinet is being filled with water by the hour. Not only are the leaks unacceptable, but we're concerned about structural damage. Creative Decks removed a piece of siding in order to mount the header board. They assured us the flashing would keep water from intruding behind the awning header. I don't trust their assurance and now need to hire someone to inspect their work. We are disappointed. This company was recommended to us by a friend. Initially, our experience was good. And due to the general staffing challenges and inflation of recent years, we were patient and trusted them to deliver on the work as contracted. They failed to do so.

We've had several projects with Cornerstone and are exceedingly pleased with the work completed. We appreciated the eye for design as well as the ongoing improvement ideas for our projects, which included 1) driveway expansion, 2) revamping patio and installing large water feature, plus 3) creating an area on a hillside for raised beds and walkways. The initial work was completed 3 years ago with no lingering issues, plus very good ongoing communication about maintenance.
