“When we first met John Haynes of T.Ybarra Construction at a home show, we knew we would like working with him over the other companies we had looked at using. Besides the fact that the product looked awesome and in fact superior to the competition, John himself was what sold us on working with his company. He was attentive to our needs and desires, frank and straightforward in his communications and had creative and practical solutions and ideas for our troublesome space. We purchased the most beautiful brown metal patio cover (pergola) that blends with our house so well it looks like it was part of the original construction on our Spanish style house and totally looks like it’s wood. The pavers are absolutely gorgeous and transformed our long and narrow yard into an oasis, a stunning extension of our living space and in fact a space we never used since we bought the house. Now we love lounging under our patio covering – the transformation was amazing! My husband and I were both so impressed with how quickly and expertly the project was done. The design of the patio covering was totally custom made as our yard nor the house was square or even. The way they attached the beams to the house and the custom cut edging made it look perfectly even and normal. The craftsmanship was first class! Hugo and Gilberto, who constructed the cover, had to work in the rain and did an amazing and thorough job, working from an expert design drawn by John, but one that also required some adaptation to the quirky space on the spot. The pavers are a whole other piece of artistic excellence that Juan created for our patio. Again, since the patio could not be square, he had to hand cut a lot of stones and the design is exquisite and flawless! It’s not always easy to imagine what a design will ultimately look like from small samples of materials and drawings. But John made us feel confident and we could not be happier with our choices. We were extremely impressed with everyone who worked on this job and the end result exceeded our wildest expectations of what it would look like! “It is a pleasure to write a review on the above business. This company, owned by Ron Nelson, has actually replaced all the windows in two different condos that we owned. This included a total of six sliding doors and 15 windows. They also extended an exterior wall and installed a side door in the garage. The staff are very skilled, knowledgeable and friendly. Ron Nelson was very easy to work with and had good suggestions. He has been in this business for several years and it shows. “We used Dave Fraser and his team to rebuild our deck on our new home. The project was large and complicated—probably the largest residential deck I’d ever seen on a home, riddled with termites and totally unsafe to walk on. The original bid was far outside of our budget, but Dave helped us redesign the deck and walked us through how we could make it work within our budget. The new deck, although smaller, doesn’t feel so because it was redesigned so well. The project mostly stayed within the budget, with a few unexpected charges related to unexpected wood rot that was discovered. I was particularly impressed with how Dave handled discussions about the charges. He is very empathetic and understanding and was willing to work with us. Beyond budget and design, we found Dave’s crew extraordinary. Every worker was polite, stopped working and addressed questions, even helped with a couple of things outside of the project. They were all professional and kind. We love our new deck. It is something we will enjoy for decades. With such a large investment, we wanted a company and crew we could trust to do a great job. Dave and his crew not only met this criterion but exceeded it.”
