We love our deck that the ABC team built for us! It is exactly how we wanted it. We added a second story deck to our town home. The designing process was very easy. Sean came by a few times to look at the space and show us the samples. They provided guidance on the design and honesty on the products that we were considering. They provided the plans that needed to be submitted to our HOA and they handled acquiring the necessary permits. The contract was very clear and provided the details on payment and what was required for us to complete to avoid any confusion on unnecessary delays. The team that built the deck was amazing. They were all so considerate to us working from home and they were very kind and playful with my daughter. They gave us a week to use the deck and make sure it was exactly the way we want it. When there was one minor thing that we wanted changed, they came out the next morning and completed it. If we plan on adding a lower level deck or patio we will be using them again! We had Above Board do a large enclosed porch this Spring. Even with the material shortage that occurred during COVID the porch was done in a timely manner and looks fabulous. I would recommend this company for any home improvement project. The team is very flexible and was very professional during entire process. This porch is our new favorite room of the house.

The team at Above Board is truly amazing! The daily crew was on time every day and worked extremely hard and even on weekends to get the project done on time. When they left, everything was cleaned up and the deck looked perfect! I get so many complements from my neighbors and friends about how great it looks and how much it adds to the home! Also, the daily check-ins from their Project Manager/Owner to ensure the work was being done correctly was an exception level of service I didn’t expect but appreciated. I highly recommend Above Board Construction!

I would highly recommend these guys. We did a large backyard project in 2017 and Above Board Construction was subcontracted by our landscaper to build an 800 sq ft trex deck for us. These guys were professional, friendly, and they did great work. When we first met them they designed exactly what we had wanted and the price was very reasonable. As they began working on the project, they came up with a modification that we liked much better and actually saved us several thousand dollars. We were really pleased with the final product and recommended them to several friends. This past year we reached out to them again to install an additional gate on our deck. They did a great job on that as well, very responsive, good communication, and excellent work. Overall, we've been really happy with them and would definitely recommend.

Above Board Construction ("ABC") did an amazing job building our screened-in porch and deck. We met with many deck builders before choosing ABC and felt that Sean (one of the owners) was extremely knowledgeable and experienced and would be great to work with as we developed our plan for the project. He was extremely responsive during the planning process, even replying to late night texts as we explored ideas. ABC started the project on time and finished exactly as planned. The work product was flawless. Chris, Steve and Jermaine were very professional and paid remarkable attention to detail. ABC used outside contractors for stone work and electrical and they did a great job. Sean stayed in frequent contact with us and was always stopping by to check on the progress of the project. The work site was always properly maintained and the site was cleaned upon completion. I highly recommend Above Board Construction for your next project!!!

We had a paver patio that we hated because of the constant weeds and moss growth. Then, we decided to have a low deck/patio done over it. We called Above Board Construction because our very good friends highly recommended them and their 2-story deck looks amazing. Sean, the project manager, was very accommodating in every way, and Chris and his crew worked their magic. They literally addressed a couple concerns we had after the work was done and fixed them the way we wanted. We love our deck and we are looking forward to the warmer days to enjoy it. We picked Azek in Cypress and it blended quite nicely with the red brick stairs. Pictures don't do justice to how beautiful and perfect it turned out to be. After the crew power-washed it, the deck literally shined and looked way better than the pictures here. We highly recommend Above Board Construction without reservation. Their price was much better than others we talked to and their work was beyond compare. Also, please note that we were not asked to leave this review by them. I sent an e-mail yesterday to thank Sean and asked him where I can leave a review. He was very appreciative and he sent me the link to write this review.

My husband and I highly recommend this company. Sean, the owner, was personable as well as responsive to emails and phone calls. The crew he sent out to replace our deck with Trex was polite and reliable. The guys worked hard, did quality work, and completed the project in a timely manner. The finishing touches were done well and enhanced the look of the final project.

We used Sean Stunkle and his company Above Board Construction to construct a new multi-level Trex deck for us. Sean is easy to work with, patient and detail oriented. Our new deck is beautiful – it exceeded our expectations! Sean suggested a couple of different designs for the deck with different price levels and options. For each design he gave us an estimate and project drawing with a level of detail that made it easy for us to choose our new deck design and to know exactly what he was going to provide. Our Above Board crew was hard working, came when they said they would and finished everything in the planned time. Although we met with three other companies and got competitive estimates – we chose Above Board because of Sean’s friendly consultative approach, great value and attention to our needs
