We had American Deck & Patio remove the old deck that was rotting and replace it with a new larger deck. They did a fine job and completed it on time. The work crew always cleaned up the work area at the end of each day which we thought was quiet impressive. Overall we are very happy with then end result.

Absolutely beautiful deck. Only company willing to do a cross gable roof that was our dream (& for a fair price). Finished the project in GREAT time (inspections & all). Our neighbors routinely tell us that it looks so good the builder should add it as a standard feature for this type of house.

I have always been reluctant to use contractors for work projects on my house. However, I was extremely happy and surprised with American Deck. Andy initially met with us to go over what we wanted, and gave us some new ideas that we never even considered. He was very easy to work with and patient with our concerns. We were so pleased with the quote and project proposal that we didn’t even bother to get additional quotes from others. We were given a start and completion date, and expected the project to take well over a week. We were shocked to find the work begin over a week early and completed in less than 3 days. Daniel and crew arrived daily at 7am and worked past 5pm each day. I have never seen carpenters put so much care and meticulousness into their work. The quality of the project, from initial discussion to design and construction went great. The right amount of recommendations without the sales pressure. And very importantly - finished on-time and within budget. This was a 2nd story (in the rear of the house) deck with screened in porch with skylights and sliding windows making it a 3-4 season room. The team also built our new front porch.

Dave Lombardo and Bill Hensley from American Deck and Patio did an amazing job designing, planning, and building our new deck, outdoor shower, and privacy walls. We received Dave’s information from our friends who used American Deck and Patio for their new deck and screened-in room so we knew that his company did great work. I first spoke with Dave over the phone and we went over my project needs and estimated the materials and cost to see if that was within my budget, which I thought was prudent to ensure neither of us would be wasting our time. His costs were very competitive and cheaper than some other quote I had received for the deck. Soon after our phone call Dave came to our house and designed our deck right on the spot, which was impressive to see him knock it out so quickly. We quickly saw his expertise and experience firsthand. While on site he helped explain the process, answered all questions we had, and we went over the details of the project. We had to wait on materials because we went with a cable railing system, which was no fault of American Deck. Luckily for us the materials came in on time and once the project started it was smooth sailing. Bill Hensley was our deck builder and we couldn’t have been happier with the quality of his craftsmanship and his professionalism. He showed up everyday (even one day it snowed) and kept a very clean work space, which was much appreciated because we had just spent a lot of money to upgrade our patio. Bill answered any and all of our questions and made sure to double check with us if he had any questions prior to progressing. We couldn’t be happier with American Deck from start to finish. They completed the job exactly how it was discussed and completed on the timeline we had planned. I would highly recommend them to any family, friend, or stranger! This company deserves six stars. Andy Lombardo has chosen the finest team. We remodeled cement patio, replacing it with decking. Retaining walls were refaced with stone. Each aspect was done with PRECISION and beautifully finished.

I found them by happenstance but could not have been happier. The price was by far the best which allowed us to fix our deck and put in a patio. They replaced a flagstone sidewalk and porch. They did a good job of removing the old sidewalk and porch, were flexible about a few changes I made mid-stream, and did a nice job with the stonework and with the replacement railings and columns. We were very happy with the final product. The project cost about $19,000. They completed the job timely and communicated well.

Workmanship was great. They were able to start and finish the project ahead of schedule. Communications were great. This repair was for storm damage and they did an excellent job.

The planning/design process leading up to the construction was great - Dave walked us through many options and plans. And when it came time for construction, the crew was very efficient, and we are very happy with the outcome! Our deck was built around a tree, and the tree died. We hired American Deck to fill in the hole. They removed all of the deck boards affected and replaced them, and now you can't even tell there had been anything there! In 2015 American Deck built an amazing deck which we use regularly year round! Dave (the owner) was great to work with and very responsive to our questions. Fast forward to 2017.....American Deck came back and installed a gorgeous 500 sq. ft. paver patio with steps leading down from the deck to the patio along with lighting! Everything went according to schedule. Contractor was very professional, obtained the necessary permits, and arranged all inspections. He worked with us on the design and made great suggestions. Workers were very skilled, professional, and courteous. We love the finished product (deck) and will probably have them do more work for us.

We called for an estimate on having a front porch extended. American Deck came out and showed us all of the options. They had a drawing for us almost a day later. They were very quick to start. The workers were unbelievable. They showed up first thing in the morning and worked non-stop. The attention to detail that the head boss showed was incredible. If something wasn't right, he would take it apart and re-do it. You would have thought he was building his own porch. I have to admit that I changed my mind about the layout of the porch, in the middle of the build process. American Deck worked with me to change the porch to my liking. We also had them pour new sidewalk concrete. Everyone who walks by the house stops and says what a wonderful front porch we have. When my side porch falls apart, I am definitely going to be call them to come out and build me a new one.

American Deck and Patio (ADP) did two projects for us. The first was to build a deck on the rear of our house and the second was replacement of an existing porch on the front of the house. ADP was recommended by a neighbor, and I have been recommending them to people ever since they completed our project. The crew was polite, neat, and kept a clean work site. Dave was responsive to any and all questions and concerns. The workmanship was of the highest quality. A problem was discovered that could have caused damage to the roof of the porch, and while it incurred extra work and expense, Dave worked with us to maintain our safety and the integrity of our home. I wish ADP did other projects, I would hire them to do any kind of craftsmanship type work on our house. If you are considering a deck, porch, or patio, give ADP a call. They are highly professional, and you will be delighted with the finished product.

Dave did a great job visiting the house and working with me on our design (16x10 rectangle off backdoor of rowhome, 2 feet above ground level, with a trap door covering basement walkout steps). He was very friendly, as were his workers. His pricing was very reasonable. American Deck was always easy to get in contact with when I had questions. They handled all the permitting; all I had to do was provide a copy of the Platt which is a requirement by the permitting entity. I was really impressed by the 2 workers who built our deck, although their names slip my mind. The only thing that could have gone smoother was the weather which delayed their previous job which in turn delayed mine by a few days, but that is the nature of outdoor construction. I will use American Deck when I move into a new house.

I recently experienced a major house fire which resulted in a total loss and re-build. I am an commercial/Industrial electrician by trade, but I consider myself a true craftsman. I love all aspects of construction. My experience with American Deck and Patio was one of the few truly pleasant experiences I had during my rebuild from beginning to end. Dave took the time to personally help me through the design and material selection. His men were efficient, installed there product with quality, and took care of their surroundings and other trades. They were very productive in their install, but did not sacrifice the end product to achieve their production. As a side note this was a big issue with almost every other trade that performed work in my home. In this day where everyone is pinching every dollar corner cutting or lack of attention to detail can be infuriating. Its been months since the completion of my deck and I can still say without a doubt the quality of the work holds up to the initial "WOW" factor of the unveiling. That statement may not hold the importance to some if you've not been in the position to closely review or more than likely deal with shoddy work weeks, months, or even years after its initial install after the contractor is long gone and paid. I would use and recommend American Deck and Patio to anyone inquiring!

Tear down and removed old deck and then built new deck. In short, they were fantastic from consult before any work was done to the work itself. They were efficient and very professional in all the work they did as well as maintained contact even after job was complete to make sure their product was to our satisfaction. AD&P were fast and thorough. The project was delivered early and with the exact results promised. We now have a high quality stone paver patio, stairs, and fire pit that is custom and fits the look of the house and property.

American Deck & Patio built us a beautiful deck addition to our house earlier this summer. The deck has really enhanced our outdoor living experience especially when it comes to entertaining friends or enjoying a quiet evening with a glass of wine. I interviewed 5 companies to build my deck/patio area. Dave from American Deck and Patio were the least expensive. In addition to pricing, he offered some great ideas and gave his honest opinion to make the most out of our project. The project started a bit earlier than anticipated and finished in a timely manner. As with any project, there was a little misstep, but they quickly remedied the situation. We have received a lot of compliments on our new backyard project and am so glad we worked with American Deck and Patio. (disclaimer- when I first contacted them for a quote, I was told it would take 2 weeks for them to get back to me. This really soured my initial impression as other companies called me to schedule ASAP. So, when they did finally call me back, I blew them off. However, it turned out that my coworker was using them for their project and had glowing things to say. So, I decided to give them another chance. Thankfully, I did)

All of their employees from the salesman to the foreman were extremely professional and offered several solutions to meet our needs for our composite deck. One of the worst companies and owners I have ever dealt with. Things started out great. No bad reviews, owner seemed promising, etc. I was really excited to get my deck started. First go round the guys building my deck made a TON of mistakes. They cut my siding wrong leaving the Tyvek house wrap exposed, dented up my siding and rainspouts, left uneven board cuts along the edges, globs of glue that they had to use on the type of decking I picked out were all over the edges of my deck, broken rail brackets were used, and 6 sections of railings were spaced wrong. Granted the company did come out and fix the mistakes from their crew; however, these are mistakes that should have never happened in the first place, and for some reason I was treated like the mistakes were my fault. It took 4 times to pass inspection. They tried replacing only 5 sets of railings hoping the inspector wouldn't notice the 6th, and still had to come back and replace it anyway. It took 3 times for them to come out and replace the railing correctly. They tried using left over materials to fix the rail instead of new product, and the first 2 times I was left with the same shoddy work I received at the beginning of my experience. I understand mistakes happen but this whole experience was a joke. Another issue I had a major problem with was the angle that my boards ran from the main decking down a step to the landing. They don’t line up at all. They aren’t slightly off, or even run in opposing directions to give it a nice contrasting effect! I chose this company because one of the things they point out in all their advertising is “It’s in the Details”. For a company focused on detail that sets them apart from other builders, the angling of these boards is a very poor design flaw. When I brought the issue up after noticing it, I was told several different stories/fibs. First, I was told it was perfect. Then I was told the boards we’re ran that way for water flow/direction, which I called BS on right away. Finally, I was told the boards were run that way to use less material and save money. Mind you it wasn’t saving me money, but the company’s money. That may be the case, which is a horrible business practice in regards to quality and design for the customer, but I have a feeling it really was a carpentry error that the owner didn’t want to admit in fear he was going to have to fix it, and lose out even more on the job. He tried to pacify me at first before flat out telling me it wasn’t worth time, cost & materials to fix their mistake, but if I wanted to pay more money than he would gladly fix it! (Unbelievable) He also informed me that no, my deck was not perfect, but if he’s “hitting 98% on his finished products than he’s okay with that”. All in all, this was one of the most aggravating experiences I have had.

I contacted American Deck about a year ago when I was having some issues with my aging deck but held off doing anything until this year. They were great about staying in touch and I was happy to use them when the time came to start the project. From start to finish they made everything very easy --- great to work with and I couldn't be happier with the end result. The crew building the deck were all very friendly and respectful of my property. Workmanship is fantastic! They have dealt with a couple of minor follow-up issues and everything is great. I worked with Sean Conway throughout the process, who proved to be honest, straightforward, and overall very easy to work with. He was very detailed about what he could do with the project and worked very hard to give us a very high quality product while staying within the budget we had established. Sean answered all of my questions and concerns, but was sometimes slow in his communication as I got the impression that he is extremely busy all of the time. That being said, Mia was very responsive and pleasant to work with regarding billing, payment, and general coordination. I was very pleased and impressed that the project started on time and was completed faster than initially promised. The crew, Lenny in particular, was awesome to work with. Lenny communicated very well concerning any questions regarding the status of the project and he came across as very trustworthy and customer-oriented. The bottom line was that we could not have been happier with the end result of our new patio and feel very good about the guarantee provided regarding the quality and craftsmanship of the work. We would hire this company again and will keep them in mind when we are ready to move forward with future projects.

We felt most confident with Dave and Am. Deck & Patio from the onset. He was the most consultative in the initial meeting, providing high & low estimates based on a varrying scope of the project. We also felt that there was ample resources in manpower, experience, etc...to do the job professionally, thoroughly and on time.

American Deck and Patio did a big deck, roof (20'x18'), fireplace, and outdoor kitchen on the back of my house in 2013. Dave and his team were excellent, and I would highly recommend. They removed a deck which was about 16'x24', and replaced with a beautifully designed, (thanks to Dave) 20'x60' (approx, which is length of my house). He was able to keep some of the old deck's support structure, which I was very thankful for, as it saved me some money. Dave and his team would start on time, worked extremely efficient, (weather dependent) and would clean up after each days work. Of course with a project that size, there will always be some "mess," but his guys were very sensitive not to have it a constant construction site. His team was very skilled, and had great attention to detail. I would not change anything on the entire project if I did it all over again. Dave was also very helpful in designing the outdoor kitchen, which would flow with the deck, address my needs, while also staying within my budget. I can't recommend his team enough. American Deck and Patio did a great job, from designing to building the deck. We had to change the material from wood to composite (prior to start of project) because of HOA requirements, and there was no issue. Everyone at American Deck and Patio was extremely helpful, from Dave the owner, to Jessica the office manager to Chris the construction manager. Will hire them again when I am ready for a patio

Demolished an old deck and constructed a new one. Love the larger deck space. We get tons of compliments about it. Dave and his guys were easy to work with and did a great job.

We had Dave's crew install Dry Snap under our existing deck to keep the underside dry. We thought something was wrong with the finish. Dave came out with the supplier and it was just cleaner that hadn't been completely wiped off. Glad it was something easy to fix. Point here is that he stands by his work. You can feel comfortable hiring this company.

We are very happy with our new deck.. It looks great and was installed quickly. It is located in a very awkward spot, but American installed it with very little disruption to our activities and neighbors. I highly recommend them.

Dave and his crew were great. It was hard to find a contractor that would build a non-traditional deck/carport. The resulting project looks great and is quite functional.

I used American Deck and Patio to build a roof top deck on my Baltimore City rowhouse after meeting them at the Maryland Home and Garden show. They were professional and easy to work with. The deck was built very quickly once permits were acquired and they did beautiful work. My deck is much nicer than many others I have seen. I did have a minor roof leak after the installation, but they were on site within 24 hours of my call to fix the issue. I had 4 contractors come out for quotes before deciding on American Deck and it was a great choice. I would use them again and recommend to others.

I had an existing deck replaced and am quite pleased with the result. The composite gray deck floor and white railings with black balustrades look stunning. The workmanship is excellent. I am quite pleased with the results.

Dave Lombardo and his team at American Deck just finished our deck and we are very pleased. The deck is 13 x 14 and made of Fiberon, and I can't wait for spring to start using it (it's under snow at the moment). Both my wife and I found him very easy to work with. He is a good listener, gives an informed professional opinion, and then does what you want. Most contractors we find are poor listeners and/or want to force you in one direction or another. Dave is patient and customer focused. It took a tad longer for him to get to our project than we expected, but it was sure worth the wait. We heartily recommend Dave and American Deck.

It was a pleasure to work with Dave Lonbardo and American deck. After explaining in broad and somewhat vague terms what we wanted he listened attentively, discussed alternatives that enhanced the project and make it a reality. His Carpenters, and I mean bonafide craftsman, worked everyday, completed the project in the time frame promised, and the areas cleaned and tidy everyday. The only thing they left was a small metal plaque that says American Deck, that we are proud to display. Probably not the cheapest guy in town...but we all know you get what you pay for. The guy delivers what he says he does.

My wife and I spent a great amount of time looking for someone to replace our existing deck. We found Dave Lombardo and American Deck and Patio on Angie's List. He offered us many interesting ideas and material types to build with, and also explained the pros and cons of each. Originally, we were going to go with a plain wood deck. After seeing what Dave and his company could do, we happily decided to go all composite. The pricing was also very favorable to us when compared to other estimates we had obtained. When it came time to build, Dave and his workers were on time from start to finish. At the end of each work day, the crew always did a great job of cleaning up which was important to us. The two young men that built our deck were polite and friendly. The job was completed on time in spite of some weather issues. Throughout the building process, Dave remained in touch with us, calling to ensure we were satisfied and to see if we had any questions or concerns. After the deck was completed, Dave made certain that we were completely satisfied. We had a very minor issue with a piece of trim. Dave sent a crew out the following morning and the issue was taken care of without fuss. My wife and I are extremely pleased with our new deck. These guys are pros! They started the project earlier than I was originally quoted and completed it in about a week, a lot faster than I expected. The crew that put up our deck did a wonderful job! They were fast, they were clean, and they were polite. We are still waiting for the windows of the sunroom to be installed though, that process has been taking a long time and doubled the projected timeline.

The project included the building of a new deck (18’x18’) , connecting it to an old one, and building a shed under the new deck. This required excavation and grading to allow proper clearance under the deck and installation of water diversion system under the deck to keep the shed dry. Dave Lombardo and his team did a great job . Dave was easy to work with, put a lot of creative thought into the design, involved a landscaper, remained in constant contact, accomodated changes, corrected problems right away. The work started as planned, went well, and was completed within the time frame promised. Teams were on time. We would definitely hire Dave Lombardo and his company again.

We want to start by saying we are extremely pleased with the results. The deck is beautiful, stylish, well constructed and has that "finished look" we so much wanted.
