Mr. Kim is not a client of ours, we never built a project for him. He is a self proclaimed real estate investor. The house that he is currently remodeling the inside by using unlicensed contractors, and no permits. Before hiring us, he bragged that - 'the guy doing my flooring inside the house gave me a price for thousands less than your price", but he hired us, after giving him a 25% discount. Instead of giving us a deposit upon signing the contract, Mr. Kim agreed to pay the deposit the day the materials were delivered, which was scheduled for Monday. My son arrived on the scheduled day, with a laborer and the materials, which were paid for by us, were carried to the back yard and Mr. Kim then refused to paid the agreed upon deposit. The next day, our crew showed up to work and there was a 2 foot deep trench from one end of the back yard to the other with 2 feet of dirt mounded above ground in the area the deck was to be built at ground level. The handy man he had doing this electrical work left to go to home depot for conduit and wire to put in the trench and did not finish that day. Our crew had to leave because they couldn't work. Which was a huge waste of our time. My son, before leaving, explained this to Mr. Kim's wife (Mr. Kim was not there) and she agreed to us continuing to work the next day. Later that day, Mr. Kim calls me yelling to remove our materials and that he "Canceled the job". We came back that afternoon, carried the materials to the front yard for Lowes to pick up the next day, which they did. Mr. Kim has no reason to complain here.
