Essential Extras, Inc. creates unique outdoor spaces and structures like screened porches, gazebos, pergolas and shade arbors. Our pergola and arbor designs usually have to work with gardens and landscaping as well as with patio and deck designs; and we design them to match the scale, look, style and flow of the area. Our portfolio has thousands of pictures of wooden decks (and some plastic and composite decking). We also do most types of residential remodeling from small repairs to major projects like room additions and basement refinishing. For trim and finishing touches, there are many different wood railing designs for decks, lattice privacy screen designs, vinyl privacy screens, wooden outdoor privacy screening, garden gate designs, decorative cedar fences, benches, planters, etc. We frequently incorporate subtle low voltage atmosphere and accent lighting. We offer job file plans, drawings and details for most of the projects pictured on this site. Our work is truly custom and creative. No two people or projects are alike. Unusual projects, situations and unique custom original designs are our norm. We make interior, exterior, added or remodeled space blend into existing space structurally, functionally and aesthetically, i.e. it "belongs." Depending on your preference, we offer design and plans service, construction supervision, design/build agreements or complete turnkey service.
