We bought this old A-Frame 4 years ago and met with endless designers and contractors to reimagine what we could do to revitalize this aging gem. We had a pretty good idea of what we wanted, but John nurtured those concepts, improved upon them and brought them to life. He and his crew (who I can’t say enough good things about), worked diligently and respectfully over the course of the project, paying attention to every detail. Not only did they build the awesome new deck that replaced the old one, they gave this old house new life, with new doors, siding and a transom window that breathes air into a airless, hot loft. If you want a project done with artistry and care, you can’t go wrong with John Heath!!!

I can't say enough good things about John's work! He really paid attention to the vision I had for my outdoor living room and designed and executed a beautiful space. Not only is he a true artist and so capable, he's a person of high integrity. He's professional and has an easy going way of interacting. Having him and his team at the house didn't feel like an imposition. My dogs loved having them there! We looked forward to seeing them each day, catching up on progress and together made decisions that resulted in an amazing space. Thanks John! The space has been well used!

I've use John for 20 years, large projects, small projects. He always does a professional job and takes pride in the quality of his work. I know that I don't have to stand around and watch him to make sure it is done correctly. He walks in, looks at a problem for about 30 seconds figuring out the best solution and then gets it done. I highly recommend John for any project.

Was initially very pleased with the project. Mr. Heath redid a second floor wood balcony with wood and composite wood. It replicated the look of the old balcony, which was deteriorating. However, the bottom boards that have the rails attached have started separating from the bottom of the balcony. Mr. Heath has not responded to either email or telephone messages regarding fixing the problem. He used nails instead of deck screws on the side boards, which caused the separation. Not happy with the lack of response on fixing the problem.

We constructed our wooden slat fencing about a year ago and after being extremely impressed with the work and attention to detail, we added a pergola December 2016. The quality of the work is very high- everything turned out exactly as we'd asked and in some regard, better, as John has great insight into creating a good overall aesthetic. Another area we appreciated was the professionalism and communication of John and his entire crew. Throughout both projects, these areas were strong. We highly recommend them for woodworking and all finishing touches. They also contracted dry wall/stucco, and electrical wiring needs for us that work well and look good.

We hired John to build a fence, gate and decorative patio wall for our new home. He and his crew showed up on time, worked efficiently and quickly and helped us design "the best fence in the neighborhood". We have received many compliments from neighbors and love the design. On top of that his bid was very reasonable compared to competitive bids. Solid company.
