Hometown Decking and decorative concrete

I highly recommend Hometown Decking. Our deck is amazing! Jay did a great job managing the project. He accurately bid out, designed, scheduled and ordered all the materials. Their expert craftsmen constructed our large multi-level deck on a steep slope. This was not an easy project. Raunel and his crew were the best! Raunel can build anything and easily handled any minor changes we made. It's not just a job for these guys. They do excellent work and really care about the quality of the finished product. After watching the process, I realize how important it is to hire an experienced deck builder. All of the framing work was excellent. The footings, support posts, beams, joists, ledger boards and framing hardware exceeded my expectations. Passing all inspections was a breeze. They don't cut corners and built us a strong deck that will last. They also have many choices for the look of the deck. We went with TimberTech composite decking using hidden fasteners, horizontal steel railings with cedar posts, and cedar skirting. We love the look! The price was very reasonable, and an absolute bargain considering the quality of work and materials. You can't go wrong with Hometown Decking!

We love the new deck and screened porch Hometown Decking built for us. Our old wooden deck needed to be removed and replaced because we are not good about doing the regular maintenance. So we decided to replace it with composite. Hometown Decking had a process that made it so easy to choose from all the various options available. And I've wanted to put in a screened porch for years, but didn't think it would be possible with the space we had. Hometown Decking figured out a way to make it work, and finished our project in a few days. They were responsive when we requested an estimate, their pricing was competitive and fair, the crew worked efficiently and carefully to take out the old deck, and they built us a beautiful new outdoor space that we use every day!

Hideous concrete acid staining job! This proud owner sent an inexperienced worker by himself to do this big job. He had few supplies, he performed sloppy job, and he acid stained in excessive heat causing flash dryness with spotted stained discoloring. Their was a language barrier from the beginning so this guy seemed confused with no direction from the owner. Their was no inspection of the work from Mike the owner even after multiple complaints, texts and emails the same day and thereafter. The owner allowed a novice laborer to ruin my new patio. I never received an apology nor a refund. Charges were already paid in full because of the way his contract was set up and acid Staining was the last stage several months later. The concrete acid stained pictures on his website are probably not current and are questionable if they are his based on my project results

I am so proud of how my deck has held up both from the construction and the material side. Mike and his crew built this cedar deck for me in February 2014. It has 2 x 6 x 16 as top decking. I just finished my 3rd restain 2 weeks ago, needless to say our summers are brutal. But this deck is as solid, sturdy and beautiful as the day it was finished. So after 6 years not only is still going strong but it is just like new after a restain. My neighbors are so impressed with the quality and durability of our deck. By the way not one .....not one warped board.

Hometown Deck just tore down our old deck and rebuilt a new one, 14 x 30 with a pergola. We could not be happier! Their crew was punctual, polite and did an amazing job. I could not be happier with Hometown Decking, our new deck is fantastic! We ultimately went with Mike because gave us the best designing advice and had the best price for a composite deck. We were on the calendar within a week of accepting the quote. Construction was finished within only 2 days! Great company, easy to work with, and they do an awesome job!

Mike's team replaced all of the decking on our 19 year old deck, replaced the railing and rebuilt a side deck leading to the garage entrance. They removed all of the decking and doubled the frame support. They replaced the decking with Ipe wood using hidden fasteners and replaced the railing with all black metal and an Ipe cap. They reconfigured the side deck and matched the decking and railing. I can't even begin to express how pleased we are with the end result. Mike's response in the estimate phase was prompt, and he answered all questions within hours. In scheduling the job, he managed to start the project very close to our original prediction in spite of miserable conditions before and during the job. The crew worked in extremely cold, windy conditions and completed the entire job in three days. They were professional in every respect and left our yard in pristine condition. The project cost came in well under the competitors. We would hire them again in a heartbeat.

Hometown Decking added a beautiful tongue and groove cedar pergola to an existing deck that they did not build. The quality of the work and the speed in which they got the job done was phenomenal. I'll be returning to Hometown Decking to get my deck brought up to the quality of my pergola. Highly recommended!

We had Hometown Decking demo and rebuild our front porch deck using composite material. Mike was very helpful and took the time to answer all of my questions about how he would do the work. His price was right in line with the other highly rated companies I dealt with (cheaper than one by almost half), but with Mike I felt like I was getting the best combination of personal service and professionalism. The crew were punctual, hard working, professional, and communicated with me on for my preference on details that came up along the way. The deck turned out beautifully, and overall it was an entirely positive experience.
