JM Decks and Fences

After doing a ton of research into contractors/deck building companies, we decided to set up a meeting with JM Decks & Fences ( a family owed company! ) We knew during our first meeting with Antonio, from JM Decks & Fences, that they were the company to hire to re-build our 1200 sq ft deck. Along with replacing some pavers & adding some needed drainage. Antonio's honesty, knowledge & experience gave us the confidence & insurance that JM Decks & Fences would do the job correctly and in a timely fashion without cutting corners or using, cheap/inferior/less expensive materials.... He listened to what we needed/wanted to do with our project. He enlightened us on the updated local building codes and came up with a plan that would pass all needed inspections without question. Our deck was originally built in 1976, some up grades in 2000. So, yes there were code issues ! JM Decks & Fences took care of all the needed permits, site plan and set up needed inspections as well. They kept us informed of what was happening with our project via text messages, emails & phone calls. This whole process was 'painless' for us. Their carpenters, ( all brothers) are true craftsmen. Total professionals. Quick, accurate and a pleasure to work with. The work site was kept clean & safe. This 1200 sq ft deck was dismantled in less than a day and debris removed soon after. Layout started immediately after on the same day. We were very impressed They built our deck not different than if I were doing it...! ( this coming from a guy with 40 yrs in the construction business....) Thank you again Antonio & JM Decks & Fences !! Keep up the great work !

JM did a great job with a full replacement of my deck with a half covered portion. Antonio was helpful with working through a few options for the work scope, and the quote was fair. The crew was very friendly and completed the work very quickly but with care. Overall I’m glad I chose them for this work and would recommend to friends and family.

Fantastic experience with JM Decks and Fences. From the initial consult, their team was responsive and communicative as we explored multiple options for our deck project. They helped to recommend required surveyor and kept us updated throughout the permitting and approval process. The actual construction took less than 2 weeks to replace our old 10x12 deck and double the size. We’re thrilled with how it turned out and the TimberTech coconut husk color is beautiful. For the price of the work, and the overall service experience we feel we received excellent value.

Just completed an outdoor patio with JM Decks and Fences. We couldn't be happier! From the first consultation and design with Antonio and Christopher to the actual build, I would definitely recommend working with these guys! Because our overall project included an outdoor kitchen including electrical and plumbing work, the JM Decks team was very flexible in working around the overall project schedule to complete the patio, pergola and connecting house stairs. They were fast and efficient and did amazing work. It looks beautiful!

JM Decks and Fences was the best decision we’ve made for our house. We actually called out Christopher three years ago and got a quote to try and replace and add on to our deck. Our financial situation changed and we were not able to build a deck at that time. Fast-forward to three years of additional savings and we called the same company again. From the very moment that I said my name, they said “hello Mrs. Dodder, good to hear from you and thank you for calling us, do you have the same project in mind?” And they immediately pulled up our project plans and everything that we had proposed three years prior with not a moments hesitation. And honored similar pricing. I was so impressed I knew right then and there we had to stick with this company! From Parker coordinating plans to Christopher Severino still remembering us, Antonio Alvarado the project manager being so incredibly helpful, patient and ever-available to help us with every detail throughout the project, he was masterful. Our incredible crew that felt like family through the process- the kids called Oscar Spiderman because he is so agile climbing up on everything! Adán making his precision cuts, and José with his infallible craftsmanship and attention to detail. Truly a kindhearted crew with a dedicated highest-standard work ethic. We could not have been more pleased to have worked with this company and are truly so thankful to have chosen them. The screened porch and deck is like an extension of our living space and we are so so pleased how every aspect of this project was completed, they really went above and beyond!

JM Decks did top notch work on our deck project from start to finish. I can’t recommend them enough! I did my homework and had 3 estimates from different contractors before starting this job. JM came in the middle on pricing (way below the highest estimate). The contractor that gave me the lowest estimate didn’t want to go through the permitting and inspection process so that was a big red flag for me. The highest priced contractor wasn’t even able to answer some of my most basic questions even though their estimate was several thousand dollars higher than JM Decks for the exact same job with the exact same materials. This was a complete tear down and rebuild of a double deck (1st and 2nd floors) and I wanted to be sure it was done right since my family will be using the upper deck a lot and I want the peace of mind of knowing it’s safe. The crew that came out did a fantastic job on everything from tearing down and removal of the old deck, to building solid concrete footings and building the new deck. The office staff did a great job of dealing with the permitting process and providing me with the drawings I needed to get approval from the HOA. Communication was excellent throughout the whole process and everything was done in a timely and professional manner. I have already recommended JM decks to friends and would recommend them to anyone. 5 stars!

I requested a quote from 4 contractors and selected JM Decks and Fences based on responsiveness, price, warranty and understanding of my goals. They built a beautiful lower patio, remodeled our deck using TimberTech, and completely repaired our upper patio by removing and resetting all of the pavers. Their attention to detail, craftsmanship, and professionalism were outstanding throughout the entire project. The crew was reliable, communicated clearly, and kept the work area clean and organized. The finished results exceeded our expectations, and everything looks fantastic. The lower patio is a perfect addition to our backyard, the TimberTech deck looks amazing, and the upper patio was restored to look better than ever. JM Decks and Fences were a pleasure to work with during the remodel of an existing screened in porch to be a 3 season room. Communication was terrific with rapid replies. Work quality is exceptional. Their crews are kind and do great work. Details are important to them. Christopher assisted in helping select stain color when I was struggling. We are so pleased with our space and look forward to using it.

JM Decks was incredible throughout the whole process of planning, preparing, building, & finalizing my entire outdoor living & deck project! I love the solutions Christopher came up with for placement of the stairs by the sun porch. Antonio, the project manager, was on top of EVERYTHING! He noticed anything & everything that needed to be fine tuned! The fence builders worked seamlessly, as did the concrete installers! …& the guys who built the deck were incredible! The work they did was impeccable! Every aspect of the deck was built with great detail & incredibly skilled craftsmanship! I would hands down recommend this company over any other I got quotes from to build a deck! They are a one stop shop for deck, concrete, & fence craftsmanship!!!
