Kreative Barns completed two projects for us and I highly recommend them as contractors. Their work is high quality and they are reliable. First, we renovated our primary bathroom, taking it down to the studs and re-designing with all new fixtures and tile, keeping our existing radiant heat intact. Everything went smoothly and quickly. The tiler is incredibly hard-working, skilled, and detail oriented. We are thrilled with the results. The second project was a replacement of our deck and screened porch with a larger 4-season sunroom and deck. This larger project also went smoothly from design, permitting and demolition all the way to the finish work. Konstantin is very knowledgeable. He communicated with us regularly and he provided excellent advice on all aspects of the project. The members of his crew are professional, courteous, and meticulous. We could not be happier with the finished project and would choose Kreative Barns again in the future.

Kreative Barns had done some fabulous work on my home’s exterior two years ago, so I contacted them again after buying a new home. I had them add a large raised back deck and also install a pergola. The project turned out beautifully. Konstantin also recommended a great mason for the paver walkway connecting the two, and for the paver patio beneath the pergola. His staff showed up on time, are always highly professional and skilled, and helpful in answering questions and offering suggestions. They got the job done during the summer heat, often staying late to complete the work. Konstantin is very responsive and easy to reach when needed.

Kreative Barns recently added an addition to our home. The result was absolutely beautiful and was completed exactly as designed. We were adamant it not look like an afterthought....when completed it looked as though it was part of the original home. We couldn't have been happier, the project exceeded our expectations! Konstantin is a truly a professional who listens and is very easy to work with. The cost was fair and there were no surprises, such as additional costs at every turn. His crew were among the best.... timely, courteous professionals (no profanity or loud music such as we experienced in the past). We were thrilled with the finish work. We were living in the home at the time and were surprised at how clean they kept the work site. Kreative Barns was one of the best contractors we have worked with. We recently hired Konstantin and his team for the fourth time, and it was another five-star job. Time was of the essence, and his crew worked long, long days (with our enthusiastic approval) to get everything done as quickly and efficiently as possible. After sealing off the rest of the house, the KB guys emptied out a packed suite of rooms and then replaced dusty wall-to-wall carpeting there and on the stairs leading up them with beautiful red oak. They removed baseboards and doors, but it was still tricky—"nosing" extended out along one wall above the stairs, and there two landings, plus a closet and several side rooms. They also custom-built a bookshelf into three walls of a previously awkward space. Ugly fluorescent lighting was replaced with simple LEDs, and the walls were repainted. Then they moved all of the furniture and 9 zillion books back in. The rest of the house remained clean and allergen-free, as promised. While the work certainly wasn't cheap, Konstantin discovered (and passed along) savings along the way, and discussed every decision in advance so there were no surprises. I'm sure we'll hire them again when it's time to update our bathrooms!

Kreative Barns is an incredible remodeling, renovation, and new construction company. Konstantin and his team put so much thought, care, and concern into the quality and durability of their work. They spent the time to fully understand what we wanted, they helped us refine our vision, were patient with us as that vision evolved, engaged with some really challenging engineering puzzles, and then took ownership of every phase of the project while letting us insert our preferences every step of the way. The end result was magical. We got so much more than what we initially hoped for. Our home is efficient, convenient, comfortable, and beautiful. The Kreative Barn team’s skill and craftsmanship inspire me to be better at everything I do. Konstantin took time upfront to learn about the project before committing to it but once he committed, he truly delivered. Moreover, he was completely open about where his strengths were and had zero ego about handing off the parts of the project he couldn’t do to people in his network. Everyone he brought in, he managed, coordinated with, and every single person and team had the same no nonsense attitude as Konstantin around getting the job done and getting it done right. It was no surprise that the people who worked with him had a ton of respect for him. If more people took same the level of pride in their craft, and approached their work with the same level of integrity, the world’s problems would soon be over. Every member of the Kreative Barns team is an artist, from design to implementation all of their work was outstanding. The team completed a major renovation of our new house, three bathrooms, a kitchen and more. To a person, they were polite, respectful and attentive to our needs and expectations. Communication was excellent- timely and clear. Everyone worked hard to meet deadlines and stay on budget. Increased costs and delays were always discussed and we were always given choices about how to proceed. We recommend Konstantin and his crew without reservation.

My wife and I have done many construction projects at our homes over the years and we were particularly pleased with the work that Konstantine and his crew just completed for us. This was a project with many moving parts involving insulation, drywalling, painting, and rough and finish carpentry and everything was completed professionally, on time, and on budget. The work was being done while we were away from the house and Konstatine was outstanding in returning calls, discussing issues at they invariably arose, and keeping us updated on progress. We’ll have no hesitation in calling him again for future projects.

We interviewed five builders for our 310 square foot primary suite addition and interior reconfiguration. This included excavation for a new foundation, opening the existing foundation wall to join the spaces, a new walk out entrance, and site grading. From the beginning Konstantin Aleksandrov, the owner, listened carefully, made suggestions about layout and finishes, and was aware of every detail along the way. He maintained communication with the workers and with us. The crews were professional and personable (and punctual too!). Materials were ordered in a timely manner and managed on site. The the work area was orderly and well maintained on a daily basis. There was a flow of skilled subs: electrical, roofing, hardwood flooring, insulation, gutters, tile, drywall and painting. Building inspections were coordinated with the appropriate Town personnel to keep the project moving. We did select our paint, tiles, and bathroom fittings from area suppliers and then coordinated delivery and installation with Konstantin. Because of some Covid related supply chain issues with the exterior finishes, we added a complete re-siding project which involved the construction of a new front porch. The crews moved seamlessly from interior to exterior work. We are extremely happy with our addition and the new look of our house.

I have had Kreative Barns work on a number of projects on my home and barn over the past two years. They installed windows, a sliding glass door, Juliette balcony, new door, barn roof and gutters. If you want the job done right Konstantin is your man. He has an educated understanding of engineering the project for the best results both structurally and appealing to the eye with much attention given to the smallest details. Right from the start his proposal was broken down by various stages of the job, supported by pictures, drawings and costs for each part. He fully backed his work and it was completed on time with no hidden costs from what was quoted.

After completing a Master suite addition with Konstantin we did a complete gut of our kitchen. The results were excellent and it was a collaborative success. I would definitely work with him again!

Konstantin and Kreative Barn did an excellent job. They exceeded all expectations. Konstantin works well with the homeowner informing them of time schedules, any change of plans, and always doing things within budget. They did a fabulous job on my home improvement project. Every member on the team did a meticulous job with the siding, developed some creative design solutions, and were very responsive to my questions as the process unfolded. We recently contracted Kreative Barns to replace a roof (our immediate concern) for our newly purchased home in Eastham. Konstantin met with us to introduce his services. We found Konstantin to be very thorough and professional. He was able to for see future work and the immediate concerns for our best investment. This opened our eyes to long term value and safety for our home. We were well advised to also replace the skylight, trim and the gutters for our roof project to prevent future damage. KB teams were polite, efficient and hard working. They were upbeat and kept a clean workspace. Konstantin was always available to address any concerns and quick to respond. Perfection! Kreative Barns did everything from design to permits to helping me choosing the materials for the floors, to getting the air conditioning installed , designing the path and the landscaping.. They went above and beyond what was required. The people who came to the house were very nice and responsible about Covid 19 precautions. They started on time and finished on time . This company was outstanding. Their attention to detail was excellent, and unlike some of our last experiences they laid out their plan and then held themselves to that plan. If they hit an obstacle they explained the situation and gave advice on how best to fix it. Our situation got a little complicated because of past work that had not been properly. Kreative Barns is a professional company who made our dreams come true. We were told that they would create a room that would be our favorite. Well that's absolutely what they did. We love our new room. I valued Konstanstin sage advice that helped us make prudent decisions. Most of the work was done while we were in NY. Two years ago we needed 6 windows replaced at our home in Eastham. We live off Cape but htat did not matter. He was very good about sending us pictures of the progress and if ther as an issue that arose ( finding rot that need to be taken care of) he send us the inforamtion so we could make a sound decision. I hired this company to do a complete remodel of my bathroom and am really pleased at the excellent work they did. Konstantin, the owner, did a great job managing his guys plus all the subcontractors. The two guys who were here most of the time were very polite and pleasant while they kept my house clean. They were also meticulous in every detail of their work. The plumber, electrician, tiler and painter were all professional too and did great work. My bathroom looks fantastic and I would recommend this company to anyone looking for quality workmanship.

Most contractors are notoriously difficult to work with, but Konstantin was great. We needed a deck finished before the winter and he did a great job. He kept any appointments he made, kept us apprised of progress or any problems throughout the entire process and was happy to detail all original and extra charges in writing when we had to update the work being done. He was always available via phone or email. The deck and surrounding work were completed quickly and efficiently and it looks great! Highly recommend.

We shopped around and got great references. We told them we were not in a rush which worked to our benefit. We had several windows were replaced and they uncovered mutlple issues along the way and they were more than helpful repairing and providing suggestions and updates. Very good communcation and pictures were provided along the way. Very professionaly. Would defintely hire again. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures

Initially I hired Kreative Barns to diagnose and fix a problem with water coming into the house. Later on we discovered major water damage which was hidden and, if not addressed, could have led to structural issues later on. They were several other mini-projects, both indoors and outdoors. Overall, I am very happy with the work Kreative Barns has performed, particularly, with quality and attention to detail. Also, I was not on the Cape during the project, so Konstantin has kept me informed, with photos and incremental updates. You may be able to find a less expensive contractor but if quality and integrity are important to you, I would definitely recommend Kreative Barns

We have used Kreative Barns for several major renovation projects over the past few years and recently contracted them again for a full kitchen renovation. Their workmanship is meticulous! Materials were high quality and the projects were completed in the promised time frame. Prices were very competitive. Owner/supervisor was on-site every day to ensure quality and progress. He provided many good ideas and suggestions that we incorporated into the final plan. The best recommendation we can make is that we have hired this company over and over again for our house renovation projects.

We are extremely pleased with the AZEK second-level stairway and deck that Kreative Barns Inc. designed and built for us. The workmanship was flawless. The project was started and completed on schedule for the quoted price. The builders were personable and well mannered. My husband and I hired Konstantin to completely renovate our home. We were very impressed with his responsiveness, and quality of workmanship. We hired Kreative Barns to construct an ‘accent wall’ which would hold a new high resolution flat-screen TV. This project required removal of partial wall, framing and finishing wall and trim; in addition, the former ‘popcorn’ ceiling was removed, smoothed and painted and, subsequently crown molding installed. This project also required the management of installing a marble façade on the accent wall, installation of several electric outlets, recessed lighting and ethernet cables (all installed behind walls), installation of the 75” television’s and sound bar’s two mounting frames plus bracing the wall for installation for the 102-pound TV. Throughout this entire process, we found Konstantin’s communications, attention to detail, project management, responsiveness, finished work and management of subcontractors to be excellent. We have other work planned and will consult always with this company as our ‘first choice’ whenever additional projects are undertaken.

Konstantin oversaw the complete exterior restoration of my Chatham home (shingling, window replacement, Azec trim, facia boards, gutters and downspouts. He and his men removed and replaced my rear deck to code, accommodating and bearing the weight of an outdoor spa. He repaired and properly reinstalled a previously poorly installed French door leading to the deck. After reviewing what needed to be done, he presented me with a detailed description of work to be performed with an itemized price list. The attention to detail and quality of the work performed allow me to unequivocally recommend considering his company for home projects big and small, interior or exterior.

M&K did a fantastic job finishing a project that another contractor had left undone! Communication was excellent, pricing fair, and the finished product is beautiful. I have an old home (1828) and we were converting a rotten porch to a new 3 season room. They helped me pick the right trims and finishes so that the new windows and construction fit with the funky character of our old house. Would love to work with them again!

I am pleased to recommend M&K construction for any home improvement projects. I have called on M&K over the past several years to replace windows repair and replace roofing as well as do major construction. I have heard from both manufacturer's representatives and building inspectors who have commented on the superior installations by M&K. I have always found M&K to be on time, on site and on budget. I have worked with M&K Building on several projects, and have been extremely pleased with the finishing of our basement, as well as the updating of our 2 bathrooms. The basement design includes a play area, computer work space, TV area, separate laundry room, plus a storage/furnace/AC room. The playroom is now our grandkids favorite room in the house! Both bathrooms were updated and worked within demanding plumbing constraints. Konstantin and his associates communicated with us throughout all phases of the projects, and despite a few unforeseen issues kept the projects on budget and on schedule. I highly recommend M&K.

We gutted our house 7 years ago, and we just finished it. Needless to say, it looks beautiful and the wait was well worth it! Our friend Konstantin from for M&K Building Co has been an integral part of the whole journey. Unfortunately, since he lives on the Cape and we live in Boston, he wasn’t able to do as much of the actual work as we would like him to, but he contributed immensely with ideas and troubleshooting throughout the whole process. He has an amazing ability of foreseeing problems ahead of time and coming up with solutions to minimize them to the best extent possible. That is priceless when you work with a 100 old house. And what he did build wow-s every single person who comes at home. Not only is he a great structural guy, but he is also a very skillful finishing carpenter. He custom built the oversized archway to our living room, created a show case storage area in my laundry room, built us an amazing huge arched window with a day bed and storage under it, and I wouldn’t have asked for a nicer looking and functional “power station”. Our completely custom wardrobe drawers, which he built into the roof’s pitch are worthy of Better Homes’ article! They came out better than we ever expected, but they didn’t start out that way- Konstantin had to come in and salvage the work done by a not- so-good carpenter before him. That proved to be harder than starting from scratch. What really made us his customers for life was his attention to detail and vision for the future: originally we wanted him to build us some kind of a low storage in front of every single window, but he talked us out of it by saying that windows are very precious and one has to appreciate and preserve the space around them. Looking back now, I am so grateful that we listened to his advice. Also, he came up with the idea of leaving an access hatch in the floor under the huge drawers, so if we ever had to get to the wires in the floor, we have a way of doing that. We like his demeanor- he is calm, professional and when you approach him with a question, he takes the time to ask you a bunch of more questions to figure out what you really want, then thinks about different options and comes back with possible scenarios. He is very good at what he does and it shows in his work. If you are looking for someone who would do the job right the 1st time, he is your guy.

We hired M&K Building to do the finish carpentry for our 2 family Victorian. I have to give them the highest marks for quality and professionalism out of any of the contractors that we worked with over the course of this long gut rehab project. Konstantin was extremely patient with me while I attempted to convey our grand vision to him. His strong attention to detail somehow allowed him to translate my loose ideas into an amazing finished product which far exceeded my expectations. Everyone at M&K was a pleasure to work with and we would happily hire them again.

I hired M&K to do some extensive restoration work on a house I bought that needed a lot of work. They put on a new roof, siding, windows to shore up the exterior. Then they did extensive re-modeling inside, including the Living Room and Bedroom areas. I took several quotes for the work. M&K's prices were very competitive. Given the poor state that the house was in, each task I had them working on tended to lead to something else that needed to be done (example: removal of siding on one side of the house revealed rot and termite damage that had to be addressed). Each time, Konstantin (my primary contact at M&K) would call me, send pictures to my cell phone, walk through the issue and his recommendation and give me a cost estimate. A GREAT way to work! I eventually got to the point where I trusted him so much, any time he would call me with an issue, I would listen to it and just tell him "take care of it and bill me for what it costs you to do it". That kind of trust between a contractor and a homeowner is rare - but it makes the process so much better if you can get to that point. The employees of M&K were incredible. They are professional, competent, a pleasure to work with, have incredible attention to detail. I can't say enough about them. My wife and I actually missed them when they were gone! For now, my big jobs are finished, but I'm still using them for any small job that they can find the time to take on for us. I have a few jobs I want to do in a couple of years. M&K will be my first - and only - call.

M&K Construction recently remodeled my large master tile shower. The old shower was a disaster and had an incorrect pitch, poor drainage, lots of water pooling and mold growing. Konstantin developed a very detailed and well thought out plan to retile, repitch the floor, install the correct drain, redo the shower threshold and entryway and waterproof the area. My shower is now perfect and we can finally enjoy it. Konstantin was professional, was always available for questions and project updates and methodically thought out every detail of the project. I would highly recommend M&K Construction for your house remodeling needs and would hire them in the future without hesitation. M&K Building Company are a very professional organization, their work is thorough and at the same time price conscious, they complete their work on time and I would have no hesitation in recommending them to absolutely anyone. They take great pride in their work, a trait that is rare nowadays.

We have worked with M&K Construction for several projects, he is reliable, honest and trustworthy, as are his employees. The most recent project was a full renovation of our kitchen, we love the final outcome. My favorite part is the subway tile backsplash, with custom cape cod map tile for the beach theme. He was able to locate an affordable faux marble looking quartz counter top. He was able to locate and order the undermount sink in the perfect size, as well as the simple clean lines of brushed nickel cabinet and drawer pulls. We had linoleum in the kitchen and wood flooring elsewhere, he was able to perfectly match the existing wood and refinish all the floors to match seemlessly, so it looks as though the wood floor was all original. He re-used a few pieces to help save money in the budget. Our walls required extra work to level and hang the cabinets. He worked with our small budget well. Most importantly he and his employees worked quickly- the majority of the work was done within a month! They were also flexible in working around our schedule with our kids. I would highly recommended their services.

I have used M & K Building for three major projects. They were always on time, on budget and created suggestions that made huge differences to each of the projects for little additional cost. Konstantin visualized exactly what we had in mind, which is rare. He patiently presented many different designs and layouts for our kitchen renovation until we said “yes” that’s it! It was a pleasure seeing the design come to life, and the space function as we hoped for. Lots of engineering involved with removing walls, adding the correct support beam for weight bearing, lighting, HVAC, tile design, cabinets, hardwood flooring and appliances. We enlarged our porch including raising the ceiling, added french doors and new windows. Our favorite spot to hang out to dine “al fresco” or lounge. We hired M & K from a recommendation to replace our large wood deck with new Trex material to become maintenance free. Our very large deck is now perfect. M & K completed the work as promised and cleaned the area every day . They finished on time with no surprises. We were so happy that we then hired them to remodel the front of our house. They worked with our architect and the two story remodeling was again done on time and with no surprises . The front now looks contemporary and the many windows and new stairway to the second floor is something that we are proud and enjoy every day. M & K are true professionals and we would enthusiastically recommend them to anyone who needs any sort of remodeling.

I hired m&k building co. on multiple occasions...needed Windows in the basement per town of yarmouth , then totally redone one of the bathrooms, changed all the Windows on the second floor and siding outside. The company is very reliable ( I was given a time frame and a price for every project and everything was finished on time and on budget). The employees were very nice and respectful to my wishes. I definitely recommend this company for small or big projects.

Konstantin built an incredible deck for us. Very complicated and intricate with a hot tub platform 16 feet above ground. Many other contractors looked at the plans and the very difficult site and walked away or gave prices that were so high they were laughable. Not Konstantin. He was calm, professional and built a magnificent deck for us, on time and on budget. He is a true professional who builds a product that both he and the customer can be proud of. We have used him for several other projects, both with the same spectacular results. In addition we have recommended him to some of our friends and they have all received the same results.
