Several issues came up after the project was "completed". Mike claimed I have a several year warrantee but has not honored it. I have been waiting months for Mike or his contracted workers to come and make repairs with no result. I would not recommend based on failure to fix issues. I have now had to hire other contractor to make repairs. Very disappointed.

I hired Main Street to refinish a brick patio and planters. Mike quickly came over when he said he would, gave me an estimate that sounded reasonable, and soon started work. Everything was done perfectly, from the repair to the cleanup, on time and on budget, no surprises at all. I believe the job Mike did was instrumental in our selling the house in less than three days. Before, the patio was a mess. After, it was a selling point. I recommend considering Main Street for all types of home projects.

We had some exterior stone decking rebuilt and had some new interior flooring put down with additional interior painting. They did great work and were very responsive to requests and changes. Will use again and I definitely would recommend for interior and exterior work around the house.

I happened to call Mike by accident one day looking for a different "Main Street" site. I needed an estimate on relaying some walkway pavers and fixing a leaking roof on my portico over my front door. Even though his business is about 40 minutes from my house, he came out that afternoon to give me an estimate, which was $5000 below anything else I got, using existing materials ( no one else was willing to do). He saved us a ton of money and did a great job. So we asked him to also help us with our next project: building a patio in our backyard. Mike is a contractor who is very thorough and examines every angle with multiple options and relies on a crew of experts to help think through any difficulties. Getting the patio to go from the backdoor to the deck landing steps while keeping the pitch at an angle to drain rainwater was a challenge but his crew did a fantastic job. They also came up with a mini rock wall (see picture) to hold back some river stones they laid that were a few inches higher than the landing. And, instead of paying to dump some dirt when they had to move it to make the patio level, they creatively moved it to a lower place in the yard where the land was dipping and then sodded it at no extra cost. Mike has proven to be a very trustworthy, responsive contractor who stands behind his work with a 10 year warranty. He will be doing our next project: remodeling a basement bathroom later this spring.

Mike has done various jobs for us. He built 2 stone walls along the rear of our property with drainage and it is beautiful. He totally gutted our basement and created a man cave, full bath, & wet bar. It is beautiful and I enjoy it everyday. He was really helpful with design and was willing to make changes DURING the project. He also replaced our gutters and front door. I highly recommend Mike.

Really enjoyed working with Michael Kayne and his crew. They put in a front walkway to my home (brick) and helped stabilize and renew an aging deck. Michael is very knowledgeable and honest and lets you know what's up every step of the way. If there is something that can't be done your way, he'll let you know, but he'll also do whatever it takes to get the job done properly, professionally, and within a reasonable budget.

Been living in my current home in Vienna for over 7 years now and just discovered Mainstreet a few weeks ago. Wish I had known about them before. Michael is professional and honest, the two most important things in my book when it comes to contractors. He helped me with one project on very short notice and I can honestly say, of all the contractors I've dealt with throughout the years, his shop is at the top of the list. There'a another crew that I like a lot, but they cost much more and are slower to respond. For my next project, I'll definitely be hitting Mike up again.
