Would wholeheartedly recommend MasterDecks for 3 reasons: 1) Professional and responsive from start to finish. From the bidding process through the entire project, MasterDecks were total pros. They instilled trust through straightforward communication plus always responsive whenever I reached out 2) High quality. The materials they used, the crew who did the work, and the project manager were all great and the result is a beautiful deck. They checked and re-checked their work and made adjustments and corrections to ensure our deck was perfect. 3) Timely and on budget. They gave us time and cost estimates and hit the budget and schedule. Can't ask for more than that. We are thrilled with our deck and look forward to many years of use.

From the first meeting on our deck project until completion Masterdecks met or exceeded our expectations in all regards. They are a premier company providing an excellent experience and a high-quality build/result. Each associate was highly professional, courteous, and always put our interests and satisfaction first and foremost. Their use of the Buildertrend online project management tool is outstanding. In it all aspects of the project are tracked and updated daily. The schedule, finances, daily updates, messaging to/from everyone, and other things are easily accessed. Communication is continuous so we knew exactly what was happening at all times. Once they started the project, Masterdecks worked on it every day until it was done. In our initial meetings with Dave, he listened to what we had in mind and this resulted in detailed drawings for our approval and modification to make sure everyone knew exactly what was desired and expected. Every question was asked and answered for and by us. Masterdecks handled all the permitting and inspection tasks. Ryan then took the handoff and came out to meet with us and review everything again and initiate the actual construction process. Throughout this time as well as during the entire project Jessie kept us fully up to date via Buildertrend on the timing of all the different aspects of the building process. Tyson and his apprentice, Heath, did the actual construction. Tyson’s attention to detail and craftsmanship was stellar and he maintained a clean, organized, low impact worksite. He built us a beautiful deck that was exactly what we envisioned. When day to day decisions had to be made, he explained the choices clearly and provided not only pros and cons, but also his recommendations based on his knowledge and experience. Tyson was awesome and very enjoyable to work with. We were fortunate to have him as our lead builder. During any project issues invariably come up, including some things that did not exactly meet our expectations. Tyson’s response was always the same to any request, "of course, I can make that happen." And, best of all, he did in all regards. Initially we talked with several builders and got bids, however, it was clear from the outset that Masterdecks was the most professional and instilled the most confidence and belief that the overall process would be smooth and painless for us. It was! Masterdecks is competitively priced when you factor in all the things that they actually do, but they are not the cheapest in an absolute sense. Having said that, you always get what you pay for and any premium they get is well worth it in our estimation. As you might expect, particularly in today's environment, they are very busy and there is a queue. We waited months from the time we signed the contract until our project came up on their schedule and could actually begin. Moral of that story is that you must adjust your plans and expectations accordingly.

We initially found a 4x4 support had rot and needed to be replaced, we decided to upgrade our 20+ year old Trex decking with a new style of composite. After the tear down and the review of the post with rot, water had also cause some damage to a main support beam, which needed to be partially replaced. We also found that the deck did not have proper flashing along the ledger board and this had cause additionally damage to the house. All this when found was reported to us timely and we were informed there could be a couple methods to repair or replace the damaged ledger board. All work/repairs were completed. They use an online daily log file to track issues, resolutions and to include photos. Additionally one of the 2 employees would communicate with us on the status and what we should expected to be completed the following day or days.

While the project was delayed mostly due to COVID related issues I was very happy with the quality of people and the work they did. Scott was very conscientious and did a quality job throughout. While not cheap by any means I feel it was an excellent value.

Extremely professional and dedicated.. Their cost is slightly more than their competitors, but they expertise is worth it. I would definitely recommend them.

It was a pleasure working with the folks from MasterDecks. The team was engaged from the beginning of the project till the end. All were professional and kept me in the loop through work logs and emails. The entire team was great and my deck is beautiful. B. Hall

We just finished our wood deck project with Master Decks LLC. We highly recommend this company. First, we found them on google search. They had high rating on google, so we called them. They responded right back the next day, and we scheduled a sales person visit. Cary, our sales person was so helpful and knowledgeable. He assisted us making the right decisions on layout, materials, and price. After we had a zoom meeting with him, we were fortunate to have our deck started. Our deck dimension is 14 by 12. We added 8 feet stairs on the side. Also, we chose to build a bench as a part of railing. Our railing is black and white. Secondly, we absolutely loved the construction team. Ryan, the supervisor came to discuss before the construction. The job was done mainly by Justin Kirby. We had his assistant Justin as well. Their work ethic was excellent as well as their work. Mr. Kirby is skillful and took time to explain and answer all the questions to my husband and myself. They were very pleasant to be around. The construction took them about a week. Throughout the process, their professional manner gave me sense of peace and that was priceless. Finally, we appreciate our dream wood deck everyday with our morning coffee. Thank you, Master Decks.

Master Decks is fantastic to work with. They built a second floor deck, with a spiral staircase down to the yard. The workmanship was excellent!! Andrew the craftsman that worked on my project is an artist! His attention to detail was perfection. I would highly recommend Master Decks!!

Extremely pleased with the quality of the workmanship. They came thru on the fine details that I had included in the design. Work was kept on schedule and generally finished when promised. This company builds what you ask for so make sure you have considered all of the details/design before you start to build. They are not designers. You have to come up with the ideas and plan for features like lighting, heating etc. I was always a bit nervous that something was going to fall through the cracks. At the end of the day though, I have a beautiful deck.

I would give MasterDecks 4.5 stars if that was an option. Our project went very smoothly and the end product was beautiful. I am an engineer who works in the construction industry and it is very difficult to meet my standards. I have to say that MasterDecks' wood construction was top notch. I could hardly find any minor fault with it. Their project management was also quite good. They picked up the little details I asked for and worked with me on the design. The one area where they could improve is in their concrete construction skills. Our project had some concrete footings and I was not happy with how they initially turned out. This was the one significant issue that I had to bring up on the punch list. MasterDecks did their best to fix it and didn't give me any grief about doing so. This is the one issue that kept them from 5 stars.

The PVC decking product we picked out looks great on our new deck. Ryan and his team were great to work with and they listened to our needs and delivered the deck we envisioned. They removed our old deck and built a larger new deck from the ground up. The design was a challenge as it goes out over our garage however Ryan and his engineering team came up with a solution to met our needs. MASTERDECKS is a capable builder. The process was seamless and it was nice that they took care of all the necessary paperwork/permits with the city. The team kept the work area clean and they respected our home. They were quick to respond to our concerns and we couldn't be happier. We look forward to enjoying our deck for years to come.

These guys were amazing from start to finish. They were quick to answer any and all of or questions. The contractor that built our deck was awesome! He had amazing attention to detail and was kind and courteous during the construction. We would definitely recommend this company. Our deck is amazing and we get so many compliments on it.
