MG Construction & Decks

Seriously where do I begin? I am not sure I am enough of a wordsmith to adequately describe how completely and utterly DELIGHTED I am with EVERY SINGLE ASPECT of the remodel that MG Construction and Decks did on my decrepit old back yard decks. Visit one was with the owner Michael- and he seemed to have a vision in line with what I wanted. I only wish I could have set him loose on the entire back yard but my budget was constrained to the deck area (FOR NOW ;-D ). Everyone at this company seems to be dog lovers so my 2 Golden Retrievers were also delighted with my choice of contractor- they even have the family Pomeranian pictured on their trucks! Visit 2 was Michael (owner), Mike (the account coordinator) and Mikey (my future job boss) and I was very impressed with the knowledge and trust these three had in each other. All good vibes- zero red flags- immaculate paperwork spelling everything out in intricate detail (my dad was an attorney, so organization impresses me), so I signed and next thing I knew we were off and running. Holy cow can these guys work or what! Demolition was pretty much done in a day and framing went up right after. Every morning Mikey would brief me on what was happening. Every afternoon they left the place virtually spotless (OK- yes, I am a Virgo and have dogs to worry about -so occasionally I found a screw hidden in a crack they missed but I had to HUNT to find anything!). If there were issues, I was immediately notified. If there was a potential add-on to the contract I wanted, I’d get the quote by end of day to decide. When there were color and style decisions to be made, I quickly learned that my amazing job boss Mikey seemed to be able to read my mind and knew exactly what I would ask for before I opened my mouth. Lest you think I am a pushover, the previous contractors I hired for a different job got raked over the coals pretty much every day for ineptitude- NOT THESE GUYS!! MGC you can sit back with your glass of wine and let them do what they do BEST and just enjoy the show. We had to work around Christmas and New Years holidays, sourcing issues, and VERY inclement weather but they competed the job in 7 weeks… and I never even got mildly miffed that entire time! The resulting 3 level deck/outdoor area is a-frickin’-mazing!!! I had them relocate my spa so the central deck area has more utility. The lower and upper decks are now built to be open and sunny but also keep out more of the weather. Its beautiful and modern and all made of materials that are much less likely to rot, weather, or be termite food. So, if you are a discriminating consumer that wants the most unbelievable results you could possibly conceive of in your home remodel, please call MG Construction and Decks!! I swear on my honor as a Virgo, Mother of Twins, Year of the Dog, picky beyond human comprehension person that they will do a better job than ANYONE you could possibly hire. I will post a before photo and some during and after photos so you can see just how beautiful a job they did!

We had MG Construction and Decks cover a block wall for us in Timber-tech and I can't tell you what a huge difference it made aesthetically. We've received so many compliments and it transformed our backyard space beyond belief. We realized from the beginning that the job was a small one but the detailed consultation from Melissa in offering suggestions on how to make it work was extremely useful. It's never great to jump into things, so to have a project manager come out and advise us of how the work would be done and trouble shoot any potential roadblocks was invaluable. We already have another project in mind that we'd love to have MG do for us. We are so happy we went with Timber-tech, it was well worth the price and it's sustainability will last for years without any needed maintenance. Most importantly, we are glad we chose MG Construction and Decks to head up our project.

Michael and his crew are great. He is a talented guy. I am happy I decided to build my backyard with Michael. He has a great eye and he really understood my needs without killing my budget. My deck and fireplace look AMAZING. I can't wait until phase 2!

MGC Decks is simply the best. From the first appointment I set up and the reminders, Natalie the office manager had great communication. Michael came to look at my backyard. He took out his computer and designed an amazing backyard in literally 10 minutes. He is extremely talented and I could see he really understood my vision and my budget. We started with a pool and a deck. I signed a contract with the office which was really a simple process. Then the crew started work about a month after. The crew was so friendly and you can tell they really care about what they do. My project manager Max kept me up to date on the job via text. He always answered my questions which was really nice as this was my first remodel. The pool and the deck turned out amazing. All my friends are jealous. I have already given MGC Decks name to a few friends and I plan on working with them more in the future.

I chose to work with Michael and MGC Decks for my backyard project. Michael is extremely knowledgeable about his craft. I could tell he is honest and he really cares to make sure each aspect of the project made sense for my new house. His crew is amazing, professional and they really care about each job. The office is efficient and my project manager Max did a great job of staying in touch on the job status. I will definitely work with Michael and MGC decks again.

I really wish I could give the MG decks crew more than 5 stars. They deserve it . Michael did a great job putting my vision for my home into a reality and within my budget. His crew showed up with Max our project manager and did a great job. The guys are really professional and everyone is so nice. I love my deck and patio cover . I am Going to have Mg do my bathroom next .

We’ve been looking for 1 contractor who can build our backyard project. We found Michael and after listening to his ideas we decided right away that he was the guy for us. Prices was surprisingly competitive and we sign a contract after few emails. We now have a beautiful composite deck, fireplace, aluminum patio cover, hot tub and outdoor kitchen. We are so happy with the final result. Top quality and on time. Bravo

I found MGC online. They had great reviews so I gave them a call. Michael and Melissa came out to meet with me. They were super sweet and had great ideas! I had Michael build my pool with a deck around. He added a fireplace and benches to make our yard the best place to chill. My family absolutely loves it now and we use it all the time.

Michael and his team were absolutely fantastic and MG Construction was the perfect company to take on our decking project and our driveway pavers! He and the crew were extremely professional, especially showing their dedication to customer service when we had a few unforeseen problems that affected the scheduling of the deck building (rain and a previous contractor's failure to install the proper drainage!) They went above and beyond to make sure everything was done properly and beautifully. We are so happy with the results! On a personal note, everyone from MG we came into contact with, from Michael to the crew to the office manager Natalie, was friendly and clear in their communication which we appreciated. I definitely would recommend MG Construction and look forward to working with them again in the future. Thank you!

Michael and his team were exceptional from start to finish in the renovation of our backyard. The IPE deck they built looks amazing including built in benches and bars. A fire pit was also installed. All the members of the MG team were professional and thorough. They completed the work sooner than expected and came back whenever I called them with an additional request.

Great work! They did a deck and fence in my yard and it looks great. I would recommend Michael. He was on time and his crew was great. You can really tell he cares about his work and his craft. I hired MG Construction to bring our dream deck to life and I must say they did not disappoint! Their attention to detail really shows in their craftsmanship, they worked on the design with me and really listened to what I wanted and I am glad we worked with them!
