DO NOT HIRE My husband and I had the unfortunate experience of hiring New York Roofscapes INC for a roof top project, and I must say that it was an absolute nightmare. We first engaged their service back in September 2021 and the project is still not complete. I wouldn't wish this company's services on my worst enemy. Here are the reasons why I am extremely dissatisfied: 1. Poor Communication: David displayed a complete lack of professionalism when it came to communication. He continually ignored phone calls, messages and emails. He is a misogynist, who has no respect for women. After many failed attempts my husband and I consulted with David’s wife Tamara. Initially she was responsive but eventually was as equally as bad as David. They were consistently unresponsive to our calls and emails, leaving us in the dark about important project details and updates. It felt like pulling teeth trying to get any information from them. 2. Unreliable and Inconsistent Workmanship: The quality of the work performed was nothing short of abysmal. The glass was measured incorrectly and is unsafe as the glass is too short and not secured properly, the flooring is uneven, the pergola and outdoor kitchen area are riddled with issues, including leaks, exposed electrically wires and shoddy installation. It was clear that they had taken shortcuts and had a complete disregard for quality craftsmanship. We have been left with a rooftop that requires immediate repairs, costing even more money. 3. We paid for them to purchase new doors, TV’s, grill an expensive outdoor couch from reputable company as they apparently have a warehouse to store these goods until the rooftop was completed. LIES!!!They kept promising to deliver these goods. NEVER HAPPENED! I finally called the furniture company to be told that the order had never been placed. I called Tamara to discuss this and after a week of lying to me that the order had been placed she finally admitted that it hadn’t, and that they had spent the money for PERSONAL USE!!! We have not received any of the goods we paid for!! 4.Missed Deadlines: They not only failed to meet the initial project deadline, but they also consistently missed subsequent deadlines they set themselves. This caused significant delays and inconveniences for my husband and I. Their inability to adhere to their own schedule demonstrated a lack of professionalism and respect for their clients' time. 5. Lack of Accountability: Despite the glaring issues with their work, they showed no willingness to take responsibility for their mistakes. When we brought up our concerns and requested repairs, they were dismissive and uncooperative. It was clear that customer satisfaction was not a priority for them. I strongly advise against hiring for any roofing project. Their lack of professionalism, poor workmanship, and disregard for customer satisfaction were extremely disappointing.

I love this project and the extraordinary workmanship of this design. What a lovely view to take in! Pure pleasure!

David and Tamara are excellent business owners and just amazing, caring people. They helped us so much with our landscape project which we found overwhelming. They helped us break down the project and David effortlessly managed the whole thing ! David has a vision and he takes pride in his work. He and Tamara are very easy to work with and put their customers first. They are calm, professional and get the job done fast !!! We had trees taken out, stumps removed , And had to level our property too. David came to our home several times. He made it seem easy to complete . He helped us come up with a plan to make our yard beautiful . He ordered beautiful new trees and plants for us and Made sure they were planted properly in just the right place . We were worried that the trees would die and that the grass wouldn’t grow but they did !! He cared for them and helped us care for them too. We are really excited to see the plum trees bloom this spring !! I would highly recommend New York Roofscapes . I promise you that you won’t be disappointed . We are so happy with how are Yard came out !!! Thank you David and a Tamara for making our yard gorgeous .

Horrible company, customer service and workmanship. The planters on pedestals started collapsing and ripping our roof a couple months after install. Just the start of all the major repairs. Horrible customer service. Couldn’t careless about doing timely fixes or responding or showing up to their appointments. Always would take months for a repair. Our latest, because there’s always something to repair with this deck, is our gate. They’ve fixed it 3 times in our 3 year relationship. Their latest “fix” was aligning the gate to open up 2” and hit a chimney. Pathetic workmanship. Couldn’t work with the owner, Dave, because he was way too volatile and unprofessional. I’m being kind here. I’d say more but I’ve already wasted so much energy on these people. So glad we stopped dealing with them.

My wife Jane and I wanted to have a complete package to decorate our roof with a small garden. As we are retired, we spend most of the time at home. I thought our roof will be a good place for relaxation. My friend Kallis recommended me New York Roofscapes inc and appointed date with them. They are highly skilled and professional. The complete project they submitted us is really awesome. We are happy.

Absolutely awful, they never completed the $40,000 job we paid for. We had a service contract and they never opened nor closed our roof. We begged them weekly for 18 months to complete the job. They used an indoor surge strip as the power hook up for the entire roof, A huge fire hazard. The water featured never worked, the wooden tiles all faded in one summer. We never received the rocks nor the plants. The owner David Salerno is a rude bully that lies and doesn’t complete his work. Absolutely obscene to work with. He will tell you his cell phone number goes to his 10 year child and will block your calls. He is the furtherest from a professional and has no integrity. Only positive is the ladies who answer the offfice phone are polite, they prove to be unhelpful as it is a one man show and David isn’t reliable. You are better off to take your business somewhere else.

David and tamar fixed our roof issues and were very accommodating. We are very pleased. I would definitely recommend them.

I used New York Roofscapes to build out a roof deck space on my newly purchased house. They have a team of highly dedicated and creative professionals who are very easy to work with. Once they started, the project moved very smoothly and the deck was finished within my tight budget and given time. I couldn't be happier with my new roof and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company to my friends and family.

I hired New York Roofscapes to work on our rooftop in our Soho condo, and these guys did an outstanding job. The quality of work was better then I could have ever expected. They literally re-did the whole thing, made it look like a million bucks! They added furniture, plants, lighting everything to make it look like a high quality rooftop hangout for when we have friends over. They did it in a reasonable amount of time, and a reasonable amount of money as well. Really glad I found these guys!

We hired David Salerno to design and build three decks. We paid his company $1800 for an structural engineering report. NEVER got anything from him. Had to chase him for 3 months to get our money back He came by in March to measure the roof. We tried for two months to contact him to find out what was going on, when was the engineer coming by to make the report, when would he be speaking to each of the three top floor owners to discuss designs. Finally, nearly 10 weeks later, he delivered his "design". The roof measurements were all wrong, he "designed" one large deck covering the whole roof with dividing walls (not what we said we wanted). NO engineering report of any kind. We we tried to contact him to find out what was going on with the report, to express that this was not what we wanted, he became abusive and very erratic in his behavior. We made two appointments for him to come by and remeasure the roof and meet with each owner. He never showed up and never returned any e-mails or phone calls. At this point it became clear this was a scam. After showing up at his office, we finally got our money back. STAY AWAY. This is not a legit business.
