About Us

Landscape Contracting firm specializing in the design and construction of outdoor living spaces in Central Maryland. At Outdoor Additions, we dare to think differently. Because everybody is different, and because even your own outdoor enhancement tastes may evolve over time. The same space that may have once been good for the kids to play catch in when they were younger could now prove even better as a pool with paver installation. Our dedicated team does its best to make each project’s results resemble the concepts our customers come up with as closely as possible – and even exceed their imaginations. We’re always striving to stay up-to-date with landscape and construction design trends, new products, current specs and standards, and to raise the bar with our ever-improving skill certifications.

We received several referrals before calling Tom. He came out and walked us through the whole process of installing our large paver patio, outdoor bar and seating wall. The work area was always neat and tidy at the end of each day and the finished project was magnificent. Tom prides himself on making sure the "details" are done right and it shows. We have since moved to a new location and I am going to hire Tom again to do another exterior hardscape.

We had a great experience with Outdoor Additions. Tom met with us and gave us good advice and recommendations. He and his team worked hard everyday to complete the job. More importantly, we were very impressed with their work quality. We've had the patio now for 3 months and use it all the time. We've also received many complements from friends who visit. We did also opt for the Zentro fire ring, but haven't had many opportunities to use it. The few times we have we've determined that you must get the fire going hot before the smokeless feature is effective. Overall, would recommend Tom and his team. Excellent work and great guys to work with.

I hired Outdoor Additions to design and install a sidewalk, small patio, and bar area around a new addition on my house. The design process was easy - he listened to what I needed (and my budget!), and designed a simple but very usable and fun space. I loved the idea of a small bar next to my grill area that Tom came up with -- it's probably the most used area of the project! The project went smoothly from start to finish. The end result is a great space -- not huge, but perfect for what we needed! I would highly recommend Outdoor Additions!

Outdoor Additions has actually done several retaining wall projects for me. Mr. Powell and his crew were always on time and unfailingly polite. The walls were built in the correct places and with the agreed upon materials. Grading for the walls was completed and the areas were seeded. Every piece of these several jobs was done perfectly. I couldn't have asked for a more professional or friendly crew. Even my German Shepherd, who they even played with during their breaks, loved them! I will use Outdoor Additions for ANY future projects.

I found working with Tom to be a great experience. His staff was well trained and he was the only contractor that came ready at the offer time with Insurance, License and Samples in hand. His knowledge of the products and support from his dealer in offering you the showroom to see the product is a huge benefit in doing a job with Tom. They were always on time for the job, cleaned up at the end of the day and made sure everything was double checked before they started the job to avoid any grey areas. They even sold me on the lights which really make the job come to live at night. Tom and his crew work together as a team and it reflects in the work they do. A great source for your Paver Needs.
