Andrew and his crew took on a large deck project for me and I could not recommend them highly enough. Great communication, helpful ideas and coordination, and flawless execution. The major features handled for me were a large ipe deck (capable of handling the weight of a large spa), pergola, and wall for built-in electric fireplace, I'm very happy with all of them. Also echoing what many others have said Andrew was also the only one of a half dozen potential contractors who did free design work even before we had an agreement in place, along with many other helpful steps which he didn't upcharge for. Andrew would be my first call for any future similar work.

My yard is small, but I had dreamed up a system of decks that would maximize the space I did have. I had a specific plan in mind, and here is where my appreciation for Andrew and his team knows no bounds - - he was willing to find a way to make sure my decks were built according to my dreams. I needed: a big deck to cover an old concrete patio, a pergola to identically match an existing pergola, a bench with a back in a place there wasn’t easy room for a bench with a back, , a wonky-width bench to accommodate a sleeping person without disturbing the existing wisteria, a long bridge wedged into a hillside, steps to access this bridge, a deck extending out from the hillside with a mature tree growing through the deck, and a small deck snugged into the middle of a circle of existing palm trees. At our initial meeting I braced for the bad news, all of the reasons why my amateur ideas would be impossible, but instead Andrew just said, “Ok”. He said it was his job to help make my dreams come true. And that’s exactly what he did. He did the job to meet my wants and needs, and didn’t try to convince me that what I wanted was what would make his job easier. For this respectful treatment of me and my ideas, I will be forever grateful. I pretty much live in my backyard now, it’s so beautiful and perfect; it’s the picture I’ve carried in my imagination made real.

ProDeck did an excellent job building our deck in a timely manner, and at a reasonable price. Any concerns, Andrew took care of it immediately. We wanted a steel frame, and they delivered. ProDeck was even able to incorporate our old windows into the deck fencing. The final touch were the solar-lighted caps on the fence posts. The result was perfect. We have other projects coming up and ProDeck will be the first that we call!

This was a fairly small project, removal and replacement of a deck railing. I checked with a few materials suppliers and estimated the material cost. We hired ProDeck Construction to design and install a master bedroom balcony. Andrew and his team were extremely competitive on their bid and when it came time to start the project, they were on time, courteous, clean and very thorough. Andrew is awesome! We interviewed several deck companies from all over San Diego county. Andrew provided the most thorough bid, and it came in on the low end of the range cost-wise. We had several major design hurdles to overcome between our view of the design, what was realistic, and what the city would permit. Andrew navigated these challenges to provide a great design. The build process was a breeze! His crew arrived on time and always cleaned up when they left for the night. Andrew was readily available for any questions we had. The final product looks great. We love our new deck!
