Pulsar Construction recently built a new deck for our home in the South Surrey–White Rock area, and we are extremely happy with the finished project. Our deck has a unique shape and required some very tricky framing to make everything work properly, including crawl space access. Alex came up with a practical design that gave us a beautiful and functional outdoor space using TimberTech PVC decking. Alex is very hardworking and meticulous, and takes great pride in his craft. He was easy to communicate with, explained everything clearly, and paid close attention to every detail throughout the project. We also appreciated how organized he was and how clean the job site was left at the end of every workday. I met Alex when he came to give me a quote and he was the only person I wanted for my job. He built a 12 x 18 composite deck for me and it is absolutely magnificent. Alex and his helper of Pulsar Construction recently completed a TimberTech composite deck with an arbor, privacy screen and railings in our backyard. Alex did an excellent job on replacing our old and tired wood deck. From the beginning, it was evident how much he cares about his work, the details and the quality of the finished project. In the initial consultation Alex was very honest about the various options regarding replacement and clearly explained the cost differences. Alex had several suggestions when designing the deck which reflected his experience and knowledge and this is so valuable. During deck construction there are several details that are hidden from view once the project is complete which most homeowners would never be the wiser about. Alex is a craftsman and cares about these details and ensuring the project is done correctly. For example, when Alex removed our old deck he ensured that the metal supports on the existing concrete pillars were resprayed to inhibit rust in the future. He started the project on time and arrived each day early, worked hard and provided daily updates on process. Everyday he and his team made sure the worksite was spotless with wood stacked carefully and meticulously. Hiring Pulsar Construction, owner Alex Rachinsky, was an easy decision for us. First, Alex’s presentation to us was extremely informative and detailed. We needed a new deck but didn’t know which way to go, wood or composite. Alex enlightened us and we went with the composite. He explained each and every level of composite and presented samples of each one. He is a very detailed and experienced deck builder. He is a very hard worker, showed up every day and is extremely detailed. Many of our family and friends are very impressed with the detail of his work. Our deck is BEAUTIFUL!
