We are thrilled with our new deck. Alex, with Pulsar Construction, walked us through the process, completed it on time and on budget. We would highly recommend Pulsar Construction.

At our first meeting with Alex, he came across professionally and approachable. He broke down the deck building process and answered all our questions. He showed us the different decking materials and did laser measurements of deck site. Alex then e-mailed us different build quotes with pictures of previous builds to help us to visualize what the build would look like. We picked the build and signed a contract with Alex. The deck was built in 5 days. We (wife and I) are very happy with the finished deck. Alex made the deck building process easy to understand.

New Backyard Deck - Pulsar Construction added a deck attached to the back of our house in late August. After consulting with us they designed the deck and helped us to select the materials. The deck is about 220 square feet in area and is two steps above an existing concrete slab. Alex is an experienced framer and does precision work - he laser-leveled the project. Despite some bad weather the project was nearly done in 5 days. Another half-day was needed at the start of the following week. We chose top of the line decking and the project cost about $15,000. There were no additional charges above the original estimate. The result is both sturdy and attractive, and we couldn't be happier.

From start to finish, Alex and Pulsar Construction were a pleasure to deal with. As somebody who knew very little about the process of building a deck and the different options, I had many questions and Alex went over everything in detail, and after receiving a few quotes and project proposals from other companies, I felt that Pulsar Construction was the best choice given Alex's ideas and attention to detail when explaining the entire process. Alex finished the deck ahead of schedule, and he was great at communicating his progress everyday with me. He went above and beyond, like making sure that the deck and frame are ready for a patio cover that will come later in the future and making some amendments to the post that is already in place to make sure it is stable. Alex also had a tricky job with the steps as the concrete base was in a very strange slope, but he took the time to make sure that it was done properly. Alex cleaned up at the end of every day, and he made sure that the deck was in pristine condition before he left after the job was completed. I would also say that his pricing is very fair compared to the other quotes I received, especially considering the great care he put into the work.

We are very happy we chose Pulsar for our PVC deck. We had looked at previous reviews and were very pleased that Pulsar lived up to or exceeded them. Alex was very detailed in his estimate which he carried over to the deck construction. He was very meticulous and diligent about how each step in the construction was done. He communicated well about what he was doing and took good care of our property and his work area.

My wife and I have been looking to rebuild our patio for quite some time now. It was important that we found the right person to undertake this work and when we met with Alex, we felt comfortable. Alex provided us with a no obligation consultation during which he presented several options for the reconstruction of our patio. I can honestly say that Alex is the best deck builder I have hired. We have moved a few times over the last 20 years and we have had a deck built in each of our new locations. Often wary, it was hard to decide who to work with. Then we met Pulsar project manager who came out in a downpour to listen to our plan, show samples and offer ideas. He knew how to create what we wanted and to make it work with what we had. The Pulsar team is tidy, considerate and nice to work with. Alex did a great job on our deck. He arrived on time every day cleaned up at the end of the day and provided us with a very high-quality deck. Before the project started, he spent an hour with us going over all the possible options and gave us some really good advice both on the type of material to use and how to design our deck. He has amazing attention to detail and we’re really happy with the end product.
