Top Notch Decks

We contracted Top Notch Decks North to build a deck, stone patio and to do landscaping along the back of the house. This was our first major project and we were very satisfied with Joel’s team’s work. What stood out for us is prompt communication, patience answering all the questions we had, quality of work and how clean working site remained during the project and after. We would not hesitate to recommend Joel to our friends and he will be our first go to contact if we have any more projects in the future.

Joel and his team did a complete overhaul of our backyard over this summer. New composite deck, upgraded fence, and built in pergola to cover our new hot tub. Joel and his team showed up every morning at 7:30 am, worked tirelessly throughout the day, and were super easy to deal with. Like the name of their company, the work was top notch! Joel helped with the design process, and made great recommendations and suggestions on how to make our backyard a beautiful place where we would want to spend time. Before the reno, I don't think we spent more than 5-10 days each summer hanging in the backyard. This year, we are out there every day and night. I can't recommend Joel and his team highly enough. A pleasure to deal with, and super professional. This is our 2nd time working with Joel, as he did our front porch about 5 years ago, and it still looks brand new. We are a repeat customer and would choose Top Notch again without question.

We would absolutely use them again, and have no concerns about giving Top Notch our highest recommendation. They were easy to communicate with, very punctual, very clean, hard working and the finished product exceeded our expectations. All work was completed within the timeframe promised, even working through some pretty nasty weather without complaint.

After Andrew removed and replaced our 300 + feet of backyard fencing, we hired Andrew to replace our deck the following season. We are very pleased with Andrew’s work and his work ethic. Andrew’s consistent attention to detail is noted and he airways maintained a tidy work site. We are very pleased with our new fence and deck. Andrew offered great design advice and was open to making changes to the original design. We happily referred Andrew to neighbours and understand they are also very pleased with their completed projects.

Andrew and the Top Notch team did an outstanding job on our 2-level 350 sq ft deck. We are very impressed with their attention to detail, work ethic and professionalism. Andrew was very easy to communicate with throughout the project and always responded within a day via email/txt to any questions or concerns. He provided detailed answers to all our questions (we had lots!) and made several suggestions to the original design that made our deck more functional. The final quote was competitively priced and within our budget. The Top Notch team completed the entire deck in under a week! They showed up on-time every morning and left the site clean and tidy at the end of the workday. The deck passed all the required building-permit inspections and the inspector even mentioned that their quality of workmanship was excellent!
