Our renovation project turned an outdated and dull second bathroom into a bright and colorful retreat! After a successful kitchen remodel, we wanted to have 123 Remodeling do our bathroom as well. Angie Joy, our project manager, is a detailed-oriented advocate for the client, and the construction team does consistently high-quality work. The project completed in less time than expected with minimal disruption in our unit. It was especially important for 123 Remodeling to satisfy all the requirements of our condo building management so that demo, deliveries, and insurance coverage were coordinated; everything came together without a hitch. We couldn't be happier and would heartily recommend 123 Remodeling for any project.

I recently completed a full gut renovation of the bathroom and a kitchen refresh in my 1-bedroom, 1-bath condo in Chicago, and I cannot say enough good things about my experience working with Angie Joy (designer) and Stanley (contractor). The bathroom project included removing the bathtub and replacing it with a walk-in shower, new flooring, cabinetry, lighting, paint — essentially a complete transformation. In addition, they completed a kitchen refresh that included painting, removing and replacing countertops, installing a new kitchen faucet, and updating the hardware. Both spaces turned out beautifully and feel completely upgraded. Not only was the quality of work excellent, but the project was finished ahead of schedule, which is almost unheard of in renovations. What truly set Angie and Stanley apart was communication and trust. I was not physically at the condo during the remodel, yet I always felt completely informed and confident in the progress. Their communication was clear, proactive, and consistent from start to finish. I also live in a building with a very strict HOA and tight security requirements, and they handled every rule, procedure, and restriction professionally and without issue. This alone was a huge relief and made the entire process stress-free. Angie’s design guidance, Stanley’s craftsmanship, and their shared professionalism and attention to detail made this an outstanding experience. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone — especially condo owners who need a team that understands logistics, building rules, and how to deliver high-quality work without hand-holding. If you’re looking for a designer and contractor you can truly trust, Angie Joy and Stanley are exceptional.

The 123 Remodeling team recently remodeled my bathroom. Stephanie worked around my HOA/management office’s permitting requirements despite it being mostly cosmetic. Prior to the start of the project the City of Chicago inspectors began shutting down all projects without permits in my condo building. So she did all of the paperwork and scheduling of subsequent inspections that ensued. If it weren’t for that extra delay, the project would likely have come in closer to the original estimated 4 weeks. It was great to have someone to spearhead that extra hoop to jump through. She also worked with me and my ideas for the project to make it all come together beautifully in the end. The tile work looks awesome!! All the other finishes from the cabinets, vanity, lighting and shower glass were ordered, warehoused and installed. I was very glad I chose 123 Remodeling. The service is well worth the peace of mind that professionals will be working on your project and I am already planning to have Stephanie and her team back for an additional project. The 123 Remodeling team did a fantastic job remodeling two bathrooms in my home. Angie provided design and project management expertise and turned my rough plans into reality, from finalizing the layouts to selecting tile, lighting, paint colors -- everything. She has a great eye and sense for how things will fit together. And no detail was too small -- she cared as much about things like grout color as she did about the big items, like tile. She also helped keep the project rolling on schedule, and was super responsive to all my many texts and emails. Leo and his team did the construction work and were exceptional. They are highly experienced and were able and (importantly) willing to give advice when our plans weren't optimal for the space. The tile -- even the herringbone pattern -- was done impeccably. Leo was also incredibly patient when I changed my mind a few times, and the project was still completed within the timeframe they initially gave me! I really couldn't be happier. I received a bid from another contractor for this project that was a little less expensive, but I'm so, so glad I chose 123. They were worth every penny.

This is a review about their consultation process. We were very happy with the process and the project manager, Kelsey W, that we worked with during that period. Upon reaching out on Houzz I received a follow up immediately. The process from initial phone scoping to in-home consultation and showroom visit for a rough estimate, to second walkthrough for final labor estimate was organized, well documented, professional, and most of all communicative and proactive (no chasing!) Ultimately, due to cost reasons we decided to work with a smaller contractor, but we recommend looking into 123 for any busy homeowner who is looking for a well-managed project.

We recently remodeled our kitchen and bathroom with 123 Remodeling; it has been a complete transformation and we are SO happy with the results. We decided earlier this year that we needed to do this work on our home. After extensive research and interviews / quotes from many other companies, we decided on 123 and we are SO glad we did! Cara was our Project Manager and helped with design as well. She was AMAZING. We met in-person back in May and we just clicked. She was so easy to work with. She was extremely communicative, professional, and completely understood my vision. She helped us balance the needs of our family and our budget. Deciding on cabinets was probably the biggest decision and Cara was helpful and supportive the whole way through! Though the cabinets (Boxi) were more of a challenge than we had anticipated, Cara and the 123 team were fantastic. Everything came out beautifully! The 123 crew went above and beyond in both the kitchen and the bathroom; their craftsmanship and attention to detail was stellar. We came in both on time and on budget. For us, the both the bathroom and kitchen took about 6 weeks. I highly recommend 123 Remodeling - they were fantastic to work with, professional with great craftsmanship. Our spaces look like a million dollars and were within our budget. I almost want to redo more of our space just so we can work with Cara, Raul, and the rest of the team again!

Lior was very helpful during our project consultation, helping us understand the process and offering creative solutions for our unique space. Jenna was a terrific design partner, taking the time to understand our vision and preferences while offering her own informed perspective. Scheduling and communication during the build process was a little challenging at times between various teams, but Jenna was always helpful in resolving issues when they came up. The level of craftsmanship of the team was high, and feel it was a good value. We're extremely satisfied with the end result, and love our new kitchen. Would recommend!

We engaged 123 Remodeling to update our primary bathroom after interviewing 2-3 other vendors. I'm glad we chose 123. Not only was their bid the most competitive, it gave us the most flexibility with respect to budget and finishes. Cara Brosten was especially helpful as our PM/Designer. She did a great job of understanding our style, and pushing product options our way that matched our budget. Once the work began, Cara stayed in consistent contact with us regarding work being done while we were out of town. When product shipments were delayed due to the pandemic, she was able to adjust the project plan in a way that minimized delay. I was particularly impressed with the attention to detail from the construction crew led by Adan. The crew was respectful of the fact that we were working from home, and kept noise to a minimum. I'm very happy with the results and give 123 my full recommendation!

Fantastic experience from start to finish! I wanted to remove a built-in desk in my kitchen and replace it with an espresso station that included a bar sink, faucet, cabinets, stone countertop and backsplash, including plumbing in my espresso machine. Several contractors refused to take the job on or quoted prices that made the work impractical for me. 123 was professional, on-time, efficient and extremely punctual and competent. They completed the job an exceeded my expectations. The crew was a pleasure to work with, in-spite of the fact that i am admittedly a demanding client. I cannot say enough about great things about 123 Remodeling and the impeccable job they did on my home. We were desperate to find a knowledgeable contractor and 123 answered all of our prayers. My kitchen is a masterpiece! My fiance and I looked around for a while for the right company and price. Our taste differs, so that added to the complication in making a choice on who to use. One day we visited a neighbor that lived in our same building, we knew they had work done but we forgot all about it. We walked into the kitchen and our jaws dropped! Their condo’s floor plane was exactly like ours but the new kitchen made an amazing transformation for the place. Both my fiance and I were very pleased with what we saw and asked at the same time who had done their kitchen. I hired 123 Remodeling to design and remodel my kitchen. I could not be happier. Tal took the time to look over all my options for my finishes. I was impressed with the timely manner in which they could fit me into their schedule. Even with my changes made during the project, they were upfront with me in that it would add some time to the project and they were on it without missing a beat. I can be very particular with my expectations, but the construction manager was able to handle it all professionally. He was responsive, a good leader, and worked very hard to meet my expectations. We got our kitchen and our two bathrooms remodeled by 123 Remodeling. They worked with us to customize our cabinets so that it would allow space for our new refrigerator, my husband just has to have the latest appliances. So, actually, they customized cabinets for us that fit around appliances that were already purchased but weren’t delivered yet. I don’t know how they managed to make it look like everything came together! I mean, it looks really good. The bathrooms were outdated, they gave them a whole new look. Good job!

We had an interesting house in Ukraine Village that had two staircases going to our top floor bedroom. Lior did an amazing job advising us on the design of how to make the space more useful. He helped us every step of the way. That was the first great part. 2nd was the construction. His two guys he had on the job were fantastic. They worked so incredibly hard and efficient. Got our difficult job done in less then 3 weeks. I just really enjoyed that even though this wasn’t a typical remodel Lior found a way to do it exactly how we wanted. I would highly recommend using again!

123Remodeling did an extensive remodel for me Spring of 2019. The project was a gut remodel and combing two adjacent units in a condo building. The project required 5 different permits plus condo board approval. Renata was the project leader and did an excellent job handling the city permit process as well as working with the condo board. Renata was helpful with material selections and steered me away from materials that would not be durable over time. The pricing was upfront and stayed within budget. I like how you pay as you go. Most remodelers make you pay half of the total upfront and half on completion. 123 has you pay a small deposit and pay incrementally as each project phase is finished. Much better experience this way. Also they use an app that shows project phases and cost and makes it easy to pay within the app. Also Renata was very cooperative about working with me as I had a definite vision and had already picked some of my finishes. Also I want to mention a subcontractor named Raul. He did most of the finish work. I am picky but all I can say is Raul's work was perfection. everything was done right the first time and with meticulous attention to detail. I have done 5 major renovations so far. this one was the most complex and happily the least stressful due to 123 Remodelings expertise. I highly recommend 123 and specifically Renata.

They needed to build another guest room (grandchildren sleep over a lot)! They helped us with the blueprints, the permits, going to the city and the building! I found this company through this app and my experience was awful. For two and a half years, I asked them to finish my very small bathroom. Instead, I was treated with complete disrespect - likely because I am a single woman - from multiple crews (one guy even watching porn in his phone in my house after hours) and seven POCs - all with a horrible final result. Within months, grouting fell out, caulking came off (note: around showers, that should last 5 years, not two), tiling was never level, the water backed up into my shower (fixed two years later after 400+ emails about it - thanks to one Plummer). What they did fix was shotty - unfinished paint, the wrong color grout, erosion still happening, etc. To top it off, I was told by the GM that he wouldn’t help me if I “kept up an attitude.” Thankfully, they finally gave my keys back so I feel comfortable writing this review. Do yourself the favor and look elsewhere and don’t trust their response/comments to this review.

I was impressed by the sales representatives' dedication to their work. They guided us and were so nice. The contractor walked us through the whole nine yards. He let us select everything that we wanted and guided us from that aspect. The installation took about a day and a half, and the installers were so clean and so professional. 123 Remodeling converted a tub to a handicap shower for my mother-in-law, Katheryn. We did the countertop for the vanity, all the fixtures, the shower, and the vanity faucet. The sales rep was great and very professional. We always like somebody to listen more than they talk. Katheryn is 91, so you gotta let her figure out what you're doing, which the sales rep did. I used to be a kitchen and bath designer for Home Depot, so I'm used to making selections. The sales rep had a clue that I might have been in this kind of business, so he just followed right along, and we slow-served it to Katherine. He worked really well. He saw what was going on and went right with it. This guy was so patient with my mother in law and to top it all off, he did a great job. Thank You!

We bought this house in November and the people who owned the home before had remodeled one of the bathrooms but it was remodeled in an antique way. It had the old Victorian bathtub with the legs. The problem with it was that it was completely non-functional. A woman who’s 5’2” could not fit in the bathtub. It was so small. It was actually beautiful-looking though. Then they also had a nice sink but they had no counter or cabinet space. It also had a bidet and we have never used a bidet. Our bathrooms needed remodeling badly. We found 123 Remodeling and we are so glad we did. Now we have a normal sized tub and more space in our bathroom!

So we thought it would be a nice upgrade. Since we were interested, we looked around and found these guys. I just recently purchased a condo for a steal, didn't spend nearly as much on it as I had anticipated for it. It was so outdated and needed a lot of work. The floors had tile on them, the paint was hideous, most of the fixtures were apart of the original construction (I'm sure) so they were pretty worn looking. The previous owner of my unit was an elderly woman with pets and could no longer take care of it. I'm saying all of this to say that 123 Remodeling had it's work cut out. 123 helped us with our bathroom remodel. The final product looks amazing, and we love almost everything about it. Our designer, Tal, was an angel. She handled every major and minor issue with grace, professionalism, and speed. The team that did the work was friendly and skilled. My toddler boys like to pretend they are “Bobby and Stephan” when they use their toy toolboxes. I sincerely liked everyone I met through 123. HOWEVER... We lost several months when our original designer/salesperson left, and it was frustrating to start over. It was also a little annoying to create our own lists when I assumed a company would provide a project list, necessary materials, and the like. Overall, they did a fine job, and I’m certain that the hurdles we faced as clients are very normal for a remodeling project.

We used 123 remodeling to do a complete gut and remodel of our master bath. The work involved was very extensive including gutting the entire room down to the studs and floor joists, moving the toilet from one side of the room to the other, removing an old cast iron tub and replacing it with a shower, installing all new fixtures, flooring with radiant heat, insulation, new tile, shower glass, additional sink plumbing for a double vanity, new circuits for updated electrical. The price they quoted for the labor was reasonable as well as the timeline for the project. We also recently had a baby and the workers were absolutely accommodating to try to make the project as fast, clean, and quiet as possible. On top of all that they did outstanding work. As I observed the progress throughout the project I was amazed at how precise and thorough they were, not taking any shortcuts, and doing it the right way while listening to my requests and making suggestions when needed. We now have a fully updated bath that I know will provide my family many years of service. Could not recommend them enough!

I used 123 Remodeling for my full new kitchen remodel job, new hardwood floors, and bathroom upgrades. I chose 123 Remodeling because they were able to help me design my new place, go shopping for the materials and were really a 1 stop shop that could do everything whereas other places I found would just do the work but wanted me to already have the cabinets etc. and didn't shop with me for them. The costs 123 Remodeling charged were competitive and reasonable. The quality of the work is very good. I have gotten countless compliments on my new place. Walls were removed to create an open-concept plan, all new flooring as well as other upgrades. The only real issues I had were with getting the project started and communication. Before the project began; apparently there were some miscommunications with getting proper documentation to my condo management as well as another project running over; which caused my project to begin weeks later than expected. There were also a few other days where the workers weren't at my place and I never got a call with an update why not, so wasn't sure what was going on. Other than this; I am really happy with the quality of the work and the value it's added to my condo. I would recommend them to other condo owners looking for a remodel.

We used them for a mid-size bathroom remodel. Overall they did a very good job. The PM was easy to contact and always got back to us right away. They helped a lot with design ideas, and we were able to use their contact at a bath supply house and a tile store to get design help and their discounts. Their followup after the job was complete (and paid for) was great. There were two problems after the job was complete, and they came back to fix them, no questions asked. The PM and the main construction guy were extremely friendly.

Contacted 123 for our bathroom and kitchen project. At our initial meeting, I was impressed as potential PM took extensive notes and sketched the work out. They sent me a quote several days later but then said in addition they would need their fabricator to provide additional estimate for countertops. So in actuality, he never fully completed the quote. Week or so passed and I received zero follow up. When I reached out they said they were still waiting to hear back from their fabricator. I then waited again and reached out bc again zero follow up. Again, was told they were waiting on fabricator but gave me a general quote. Forget using them when I have to reach out multiple times to have a quote completed. They obviously felt they didn't need or want my business!

Update: We still haven't heard from you, and I have no way to contact you since you didn't sign your review. I have a guess, so the best I can do is try to explain our side and hope you respond eventually.

I spoke with the PM today, and he was able to show me documentation of a timeline. He gave you a quote (on the 7th) a few days after your consultation (the 3rd), which included everything but the counters, since those were added in response to you wanting a farmhouse sink that couldn't have been done with your current set up. As a 3rd party, it seems like the understanding was to price those separately anyway, since there was uncertainty about whether the counters were wanted. I still don't know what happened that we didn't hear from the counter guy, but I'm working on it. The next week (the 17th), Alex got a range from the fabricator (in lieu of an exact number, since we still couldn't get our usual counter guy), sent it to you, and was told that you "would think about."

And apparently that was the last he heard from you. He tried to call you the following week but didn't get a response. As far as any of us knew, you were still considering the bid up until you posted here.

So we're here, trying multiple times to reach out to you, trying to get some follow up on what we could've done better for you where it was within our power to do so. We're very serious about integrity, and own up to our faults and mistakes. I guess the trouble I'm coming to is that you're willing to talk about us on a public forum, but not to us when we want to help and specifically address your complaints.

My offer still stands - if you want to email me directly to discuss, I'm eagerly awaiting that opportunity. If not, I suppose we've done our best.

Sorry to hear that things ended up that way. We work very hard on customer satisfaction, so I'd like to talk about this and address the problems so we can do better in the future. The fact of the matter is that, given how large of a production we are, miscommunication isn't unheard of. Sometimes there are delays from our suppliers, sometimes we can't get hold of clients, but we're always doing our best to manage these relationships, so we have to take responsibility when things go wrong.

Ariel and team did a wonderful job on our South Loop condo. We completely gutted our kitchen, master bathroom, closet and re-stained our living room wood floors. His prices are very competitive and he stands by the contract no matter what extra work may come up that was not expected. Ariel is a very good communicator, open to client suggestions and very easy to work with. He always responded to our messages quickly, often via text and kept us in the loop on every aspect of the project. The work looks amazing. People always comment on how the renovation has transformed our condo. I would definitely work with Ariel and 123 Remodeling again.

We had a great experience working with 123 Remodeling. Our PM was Amit Weinberg, and he really was the key piece in making our experience what it was. Amit did an excellent job of shepherding the process from initial bid to completion of the project. Not only is he great at making sure the project stays on course (and as close to budget as one can realistically hope for) but is also exceptional with his people skills. Amit was able to work with the contractors to make sure our vision was executed, even if it meant having some things redone, as well as working with our neighbors in the building to make sure they remained happy. Honestly, you can find a lot of PMs out there that can handle the tasks associated with a project, but it is rare to find one with such great people skills as well. The contractors that did the work were pleasant, timely, and clean. They did a good job of setting the place up with protection from dust, dents, and scuffs, and continued to keep the house clean during the project. Our project was a full tear down do the studs and reconfiguration of the master bath, and a full renovation (tile, tub, vanity, etc.) of the guest bath. In the end, both bathrooms were completed within a time frame that was reasonable and we didn't encounter too many unexpected costs that we hadn't planned for. My wife and I literally are still in awe every time we come home to our bathrooms. We highly recommend anyone doing a bathroom renovation in the Chicago area give 123 Remodeling a call, and ask to work with Amit.

We used 123 Remodeling for a basement remodel - adding a new room in the basement. After interviewing about 5 different providers - 3 handyman + 2 remodelers, we went with 123 Remodeling. They weren't the cheapest but they gave us good level of confidence. Amit, the project manager, was the only one who asked "Why?" and then proceeded to help us decide what to do and what not to do. "You want to spend money, be my guest... but you don't really need to..." Once we signed the contract - they were quick to schedule the job (this was one of their smaller jobs). And, Amit was on top it - communicating project status with pictures via phone, having me come and check/approve the work etc... The project was completed on schedule and looks amazing.

I looked to hire this company and met with Ariel at my new home. After our initial meeting at which he quoted me a cost of approx. 50k, I emailed Ariel, at his request, with the floor plan for my home as well as a request for a follow-up meeting to commit to the project and get specific. 3+ weeks later and I have not received any sort of reply. How on Earth can I trust these people to rip open my walls if they can't even handle simple email correspondence? Side note: Ariel showed a strong lack of creativity. I asked him to tell me what was possible but it ended up being my broker and myself who had to lay out all the less than obvious potential to him.

The customer sent ONE email. We had issues with all of our emails at that time. Other customers were understanding. Some actually went as far as sending a second email or actually called. I just closed on my townhouse and want to do some remodeling work before move in. Amit from 123 remodelling came out to help out with the planning. He was very responsive and on time with our meeting. He listens well and was honest with his assessment on how to best approach the project. As a first time homeowner, I found the very helpful. Even though I wasn't able to pursue the project due to the right moving schedule, I would still consider 123 once I am ready for the project.

While this job was smaller than the work 123 normally performs, they were able to work me into their schedule and complete the job. The work was supervised on a regular basis and I was kept up-to-date on progress daily. The work was completed on time and to my expectations - really enjoyed working with Ariel and would not hesitate to recommend him to others!

I hired 123 Remodeling to renovate the kitchen and bathroom in my condo, and am thrilled with the results! I decided to go with 123 because of their experience working in condo highrises. This was my first renovation, and I knew very little about the whole process. I could not have gotten through it without Ariel's help every step of the way. He was unbelievably patient with me, and always responded to my questions immediately (Sharone was also super responsive when Ariel was on vacation). Ariel worked with the facilities and building management staff to ensure that the demo and work was done within all of the stated guidelines. In addition, he took me shopping and helped me figure out which materials (tile, cabinets, counters, etc) would work best in my condo. My completed kitchen and bathroom are beautiful and exactly what I wanted. I would definitely hire 123 again!

123 Remodeling was exactly what we were looking for. We wanted to update our small master condo bathroom, but didn't want to hire a full design company. 123 was able to just complete the labor at a very reasonable price. Although they didn't charge for design services, the PM still offered to go shopping with us for hardware and fixtures and did offer helpful design advice. 123's daily workers were very respectful and cleaned up accordingly each day. 123 also did a great job coordinating and complying with our condo association's rules and regulations. We would definitely recommend 123 Remodleing.

I contacted a number of contractors to provide quotes for the gut renovation of a luxury condo in the Gold Coast neighborhood of Chicago. From the start of the process, the team at 123 Remodeling was professional and transparent. Ariel was very supportive and spent multiple Saturdays and evenings helping us select materials and reviewing the progress of construction. The project included a kitchen and bath rehab, wallpaper removal and painting, hardwood/tile flooring installation, and framing/drywall throughout. The quality of the work allowed me to rent the unit within a few weeks - in the middle of the Chicago winter and for a reasonable rate! I would highly recommend this hardworking and honest team. The company did gut rehab for me for a property I own in Chicago. They did a great job - very professional, at fair price, and on time (which is very important). I called 123 remodeling to come out and give an estimate for our kitchen remodel. We wanted it to update the look of our condo with modern accents and more usability. Our project manager was Ariel and he was great! When he came out, we discussed the options and he made us realize that to extend the remodel into the bathroom would be a great value. The crews were awesome, clean and respectful. The work was top notch and we love both the kitchen and bath. Call these guys and don't look back, its not worth any other headache.

If you are looking for great customer service (exceeding expectations in my experience), and high quality work being done on your place within or before a projected deadline, 123 remodeling is the company to go with and here are a few examples of why. After moving forward with 123, a project manager Ariel picked me up and helped me shop for both of my bathroom remodels, providing helpful advice based on his experience but still totally respecting my personal style. We found everything I needed within a couple hours and he was also able to get my an amazing discount on everything purchased. He then picked me up a second time to help me find tiles for my bathroom backsplash which was still unfinished from my previous nightmare remodeling experience even though 123 wasn't even contracted to work on my kitchen so this was extremely nice of him and definitely not in the contract. Aside from the project management, the actual worker bee was amazing. He showed up every single day out of about 30 work days except one 1 (because of car trouble) and worked straight from 8 to 4 (the hours my building allows you to work) barely breaking for lunch. When he did break though, he hung out with our Dog and was always very nice and loving to him which we appreciated :). His work was impeccable. There were a few things we added on at the end or asked to be changed that 123 did without adding any costs or giving us any grief. Yes, the project cost was expensive BUT I got quotes from 2 other companies that came in right at the same price or higher so 123 is definitely comparable to any other remodeling company that provides professional, high quality service and work. If your priority is having a positive, stress free remodeling experience, where you need some advice and help picking out material, go with 123. You will not regret it. I spent 9 months in a horrible kitchen remodeling nightmare because I tried to go with someone who could not be held accountable for failing to deliver on what we had discussed and I ended up spending twice as much in the end and having to wait 9 months for my kitchen to be finished. If I could go back, I would hire 123 again without a second thought. Could not recommend them more. Enjoy!
