Alec and his team helped us renovate our Lakeview Village home. These are challenging times to do a reno and a 45 year old home also presents its own set of issues. We took possession of our “new”house” at the end of April and the reno took 3 months. We moved in at the end of July. Alec’s team of quality trades were up to the task. They helped us navigate through the complex issues and come up with affordable solutions. They were also able to handle a number of scope change issues that arose during the project. We love our new reconfigured kitchen and family room space. Plus the new updated bathrooms are great. We could not be happier with the end result.

Alec and his trusted crew added a solidly built, fully insulated, beautiful three-season room (I call it a sunroom) plus a deck onto our 1970’s bilevel home. It is an elevated space off the kitchen/dining room that has added a glorious flood of light into our home as well as a spa-like space. Most people who see it will say, “I would spend all my time in here”. We would not hesitate to call on Alec again or to recommend him to anyone we know.

Alec is one of the most genuine men I have ever known, I instantly trusted him from the first day we met. During the project I spoke with staff, trades, and clients, and they all had the same comments that they are thrilled to work with Alec Williams Construction. The quality of work and materials used are phenomenal and it made my job a joy. I have already recommended Alec Williams to others, and I wouldn't hesitate to do so again.

Alec, Paul and his team performed the renovation of our basement and corrected the issues created by the previous contractor during our main floor renovation. They were professional, did what they said they would do, were honest with our budget and finished on time. We will be contacting Alec for our next project.

Alec and his team where extremely professional. The workmanship, quality and advise were of the highest level. The responses to any questions, changes, or emergencies were quick, and never met with conflict. We would definitely hire them again for any future projects!

If you like solid wood doors, properly laid tile, high quality craftsmanship of cupboards, mouldings, windows, doors, closets, panelling, Alec Williams Construction use great tradespeople to produce high-end work. The site supervisors have good recommendations, drawing upon a depth of experience. Finally, Alec himself takes a personal interest in your project.

I first hired Alec to construct a double car garage with attached covered patio and outdoor fireplace in 2012. This also involved demolishing the old garage while salvaging the bricks which matched the house to use when building the new garage. This was no ordinary garage and was part of a major re-landscaping of the entire property. I also hired Alec to help rebuild our house after the 2013 flood where our property had two meters of water flowing past our house which incurred 100% damage to the basement and significant damage to the first floor. Of note, the new garage was so well built it only required drying out and some new insulation and wall board. Alec and his team were a pleasure to work with as both these projects evolved as they progressed. They were both professional and creative. Alec always had a good handle on costs incurred and projected. I do not know what we would have done without him after the flood. He has my highest recommendation.

We hired Alec and his team to renovate our 50s bungalow in Lakeview with the added complexity of us living abroad while the work was done. From the first time we met Alec we felt that he was going to look after us well and he certainly didn't disappoint. His team were fantastic, left out neighbours glowing with praise at how professional and polite they were, and the work was done with Alec making a lot of key decisions without us there, all of which we were very pleased with. I would also highlight his design partner Alexandra Dinning as very helpful and talented. All in a fantastic experience. We will certainly choose to work with Alec and Alex again in the future.

Alec Williams Construction built an architecturally designed garage for us in 2012 and we were pleased with his work so when the Calgary floods hit us in 2013 we immediately turned to him for help. Our home was flooded through the ground floor and the fully finished custom basement had to be gutted and the ground floor torn out to four feet from floor level. This required extensive rebuilding including all mechanical (two furnace, underfloor heating boiler and control panel, etc.), new electrical panel and basement rewiring, sump pump and plumbing repairs. The ground floor required new hardwood floors, custom millwork repairs, drywall and painting. The project took six months. During this period Alec was highly supportive and very responsive, this despite the fact that he was overwhelmed with other work as a result of the floods. Alec is very professional, a good listener, a creative problem solver and utterly trustworthy. The work was completed to a very high standard and we would happily work with him and his team again and have no hesitation in recommending him.

It is alsways difficult to have trades into your home to work on an upgrade project or a repair. We had need for several repairs (structural / water damage) due to original builder dysfunction. Alec Williams Construction is technically excellent and does the job correct the first time. If by chance the remedial fix does not work, they stand by their product and will work with you until it does. Alec's attention to detail is top shelf. He gets it.

Alec Williams construction is a fantastic company which I hired to renovated my entire condo. Everything went very smoothly. They were always on the ball, quick to reply and fix things when needed. They work with the highest quality tradesmen. I would recommend them to anyone out there. It is hard to find a great contractor such as Alec Williams.

We did a bathroom and hallway locker area reno with Alec and his team in 2013. The quote was detailed and it came in one time and amazingly right in the middle of the budget range he gave us. Not only would we not hesitate to hire him again I wouldn't even think of going elsewhere. We got 3 quotes and Alec's pricing was the most realistic and transparent. He even uses Microsoft project to manage the project. We sold our home in 2015 and the rents we did made a huge difference in selling in 3 weeks for 99% of list in the start of a declining market.
