The Bauen Group recently completed a rather extensive remodel of my older condominium. Eric Davis is the consummate professional and his team follows suit. I especially appreciated Eric's attention to detail and his follow through. They did their best to minimize my disruptions and finished the job on schedule. Communication with him and the rest of his team members was always clear and there were no surprises. I can't say enough good things or recommend him more highly!

We hired Bauen Group to renovate our kitchen, primary bathroom and bedroom, a powder room, and to complete additional work throughout our home in Kure Beach. From the first meeting to the completion of the job Eric’s team members were professional, knowledgeable and communicated clearly. Eric provided excellent overall design\build guidance along with detailed project scope, timing and budget information. We were impressed with our Project Manager, Damon, who has an exceptional eye for detail and used his considerable construction expertise to create innovative solutions that ultimately lead to a beautiful overall space for our family. Damon collaborated effectively with the carpenters, cabinet makers, tile installers, electricians and plumbers. At times we heard them debate the merits of approaching the job in different ways, brainstorming solutions and getting genuinely excited when they came up with new solutions. It was obvious they have pride in their work and are committed to quality and enjoy doing the job right. We appreciate that they were not hesitant to revisit an issue and come up with new and better solutions. Together, they reimagined and improved our existing space making it more useful and enjoyable. We highly recommend Bauen Group.

Under the leadership of Eric Davis, the Bauen Group did a great job building our custom home, which was totally unique, complex, and designed by Michael Kersting Architecture. Due to various design features, the initial competitive contractor prices were all significantly over budget. Once we committed to Bauen as our builder, Eric, in collaboration with the Kersting team found effective ways to reduce construction costs, which were more aligned with the initial budget. What followed was a safe, top-quality build, which was delivered on time, with minimal changes. Although we were remote to Wilmington during construction, Eric kept us fully informed along the way regarding schedule, progress, costs, potential issues and optimal resolutions. We love our new home, and have received nothing but compliments from those lucky enough to see it. Clearly, Bauen is highly recommended by us..."

Bauen Group has transformed my perspective on home building. After retiring from the military in 2020, my wife and I moved to Wilmington and began searching for a home that met our needs. We were unable to find anything that fit our criteria: I wanted a robust construction (preferably concrete and steel), while my wife desired a modern, stylish home. When we discovered the TIME townhomes in the 1000 block of N 3rd Street, I was impressed within 15 minutes of walking around the construction site. My wife was equally enthusiastic after seeing the interior photos of the completed units. There is so much positive to say about our experience...I’ll highlight a few key points: 1) Leadership: Eric, the owner, is an exceptional leader. Observing him interact with his crews and subcontractors was captivating. As a leadership development professional, I was deeply impressed by how these relationships significantly enhanced the overall quality of construction. 2) Responsiveness: Eric listened to our needs. We requested several changes and upgrades, even though we joined the build process when it was nearly one-third complete. He accommodated all our requests. 3) Collaboration: Thanks to Eric’s strong relationships with his crews, they felt comfortable discussing minor adjustments with us. A small but illustrative example is the placement of the toilet paper holder in the powder room. The carpenter suggested moving it to a different wall to prevent it from being blown by the HVAC system, and we followed the suggestion. 4) Value: The price point of Bauen builds offers remarkable value. It’s possible to have high quality at what I believe to be a lower cost compared to similar constructions. This is likely due to Eric’s humility and professionalism; he is not flashy or pretentious and is not focused solely on profit. Instead, he aims to deliver an unparalleled product and is committed to long-term success. 5) Build Quality: Our home features reinforced concrete and steel construction, a massive I-beam, commercial-grade storefront windows, and internal framing that is exceptionally sturdy. Everything, especially the stairs (which no longer creak), is rock solid. In conclusion, if we ever decide to build a custom home in Wilmington again, Bauen Group will be our only choice. Thanks to Eric, Emily, Damon, Dan, Peter, Brian, and the rest of the team.

Unmatched integrity, quality of craftsmanship, and attention to detail. These qualities gave me a lot of confidence as a first time home owner. I have had other builders onto the job site during the building process and they echoed those sentiments regarding the quality of craftsmanship. Highly recommend.

Working with the Bauen Group was a pleasure throughout the entire process! From the first meeting, it was clear we were dealing with a professional organization that was interested in understanding what we wanted and working with us to deliver a quality product. We needed to renovate our tired and dated family room and sun porch. I showed Eric and his cabinet maker a picture of what I would like. They took that idea and created a space far superior than anything I could have imagined. They went above and beyond our expectations with their employees, communication, cleanliness, attention to detail and quality of work. Eric (Sensitive Information Hidden) has built several houses for us. He is the consummate professional. The quality of the work is exceptional. He finishes his projects on time and stays within budget. They were never any 'surprise' change order charges at the end. Cannot say enough good things about Eric, as a person, and his work as a professional builder.

Bauen Group did an outstanding Job building our Home. They were extremely fair and responsive throughout the entire process from Design through to completion.
