This review is long overdue! This is the third project we've done with Kevin. Our first two projects, were over 10 years ago, when BB&R was in it's infancy. The first was an emergency situation and Kevin was first to respond. The second was a complete exterior refinish (roof, doors, siding, etc). During these two projects as a pregnant stay at home Mom, with a toddler at home, feeling comfortable with the people in and out of my house was almost more important than the work itself. Kevin and his guys did not disappoint. Not only was their work top notch, Kevin is so easy and comfortable to work with and he holds his employees (and subcontractors) to the same high standards. When the time came for a full kitchen remodel, there was no question we wanted Kevin/BB&R Design Build. Lucky for us, that meant we also got Jane/ Jane Barnes Interiors and their Lead Carpenter, Rick. Kevin, Jane, Rick and all staff/subcontractors clearly have a passion for what they do. Their professionalism, communication and integrity is second to none. They worked with us to create a remodel and design we never could have imagined. While this was a huge undertaking, they made the process so easy. Our new kitchen is not only beautiful, but functional. It is a true reflection of us and our family.

Personally, I appreciated that Kevin and Jane made themselves available when requested, were timely with returning phone calls and emails, and I can always trust them to be fair and honest. The values Kevin and Jane demonstrate as the heads of their company are seen in your employees. The BB&R team did quality work in a timely fashion, solved the detail problems that inevitably arise when opening walls and digging into the details of a renovation and the sub-contractors were coordinated and supervised well. BB&R has made us feel like a highly valued customer and we will certainly contact them for future work, as well as continue to recommend them to others.

Kevin did a pop up addition for us with bathroom and master den/office/bedroom space, quite early in his firm's history. Throughout the work, he was thoughtful, collaborative and diligent. When things did go off-axis (inevitable with an older house), he worked with us to find good solutions. Would definitely put him at the top of our list for future work.

BB&R were wonderful contractors and I would use them again. They completely remodeled our bathroom, including design work. It is beautiful and functional--they worked wonders in a small space and finished on budget.

The subcontractors and tradesmen delivered an excellent product in our three-car garage addition with mudroom area, new front entrance hardscape and rear patio. I cannot recommend BB&R highly enough; in fact I recommend them to any friends looking to renovate. BB&R remodeled our kitchen and bathroom in two separate projects. We had great experiences both times. The design/build model means that everything is taken care of from beginning to end--all we do is make choices, and they take care of everything else. In terms of quality of work and materials, BB&R is as high-end as you will find. Their finished products are absolutely beautiful.

I cannot say how highly professional and how great an experience it was to work with Kevin, Jane and the entire Barnes team. We did a rip out the kitchen down the studs and totally rebuild the room renovation. My wife did an exhaustive search of companies in our area, and Barnes was the leader. With such an extensive amount of work, one of our many concerns was the "experience." Was this going to be painful with having to constantly be on top of them to insure that all the details were addressed....and the answer was NO. They didn't miss details, follow up happened promptly and when promised, they responded to any concerns (that inevitably happen) during the project. Barnes Building are entirely professional. I cannot give them a more emphatic recommendation, especially if you're someone who's details oriented...they're the detail people.

Jane, Kevin, and their team of workers went to great lengths to fulfill our vision for a living room makeover. Unfortunately, our project lined up with the supply chain issues throughout the country, which cause some delays, but again, the BB&R team was always checking in with us to provide status updates after having spoken with their suppliers. We couldn't be happier with the final product and the hard work and attention to detail that all of the team had with each aspect - design, product orders, demo, paint, electrical, etc. - every component was discussed with us and executed as described. Everyone we encountered was focused on making sure the job was done correctly and ensuring we were happy. We enjoyed the experience and will be working with them again soon on another space in the house.

We just completed a first floor reno project that included reconfiguring the first floor to expand the kitchen foot print and add a laundry/mud room. We are thrilled with the results, Kevin helped us arrive at a design that is much more functional than the original layout. Throughout the process, Kevin was very responsive, listening to our concerns and coming up with solutions to problems. It was clear that the goal was a happy client. We were also impressed with the contractors on site. All were professional, pleasant to have around, keeping us informed as to their progress and working to provide quality results. Due to extensive water damage to our home we found ourselves overwhelmed and unknowledgeable about what to do to move forward with the restoration of our home. After interviewing numerous contractors we decided on Barnes Building and Remodeling. Kevin took us from the demolition, to the design, to the rebuild of our kitchen, living room, dining room, family room, basement, laundry room and bathroom. He is a knowledgeable, professional, honest, family man and it showed in his staff as well. He worked with us and patiently walked us through the process, and was with us every step of the way. He dealt with the insurance appraisers, the required code upgrades, acquiring all the necessary licenses, and inspections, as well as the design choices. Kevin and the team are detail oriented, knowledgeable, and attentive to what needed to be done to accomplish the project. Everyone was professional and thoughtful. Always easy to get in touch with and they did a great job at keeping us informed of the progress and where things stood in relation to the overall schedule. There was documentation of all the details discussed and agreed upon, and made available online for us to review. As in any renovation/remodel there were hiccups on the way, but Kevin and the team were always patient, and understanding and rectified any issues quickly and efficiently. Barnes Building and Remodeling surpassed all our expectations and we are thrilled with our home! We highly recommend them for all of your home renovations and remodels.

We have worked with Kevin Barnes and his firm on multiple home projects over the years including a family room and new kitchen. The family room project involved special engineering elements to replace a structural wall and reinforcing the carrying beam under the floor. The kitchen project was significantly more complicated, but Kevin brought the project in on time and within the budget. His design guidance and meticulous attention to detail by the crew, both in the construction and project management produced results far above our expectations.

Kevin and the Barnes Building team were great to work with. I have worked with many others in the past and none of them were as gracious with their time like Kevin. We had plenty of questions and even more changes during the project and they very accommodating with us. Today we have a beautiful new bathroom and we recommend Barnes Building and Remodeling to all our friends and neighbors.

Very professional and walk through whole process from design to actual construction. Keeps up to date with all codes per town areas. Very good sub-contractor commitment to customer satisfaction. Recommend team on any remodel project.

General contractor for a variety of repair and replacement jobs, including deck rebuild, screening, roofing, painting, and smaller handyman type tasks. Overall, stayed on top of things and consistently communicated target dates and progress reports. Provided the option of a flat quote or time and materials billing. We opted for the latter, but Kevin still gave us a good ballpark estimate. Although costs were ultimately higher than the quote, he explained why, and everything was reasonable.

Kevin and team remodeled a master bath one year ago and hall bath this year. Kevin is a great communicator- responds quickly to any concerns and keeps the project on time. Master was completely gutted any came out great. Hall bath vanity and countertop changed to match the master and very happy to have both done by this contractor..

Kevin came over to my house to consult and come up with a re-design of our master bath before we sold our home. This was a key element in presenting a new design of our master bath to potential buyers of our home and this actually helped sell our home! I can't want to move into our new home and have Kevin consult with us on our new home projects. He is incredibly easy to work with during a stressful situation!

We bought a wonderful custom contemporary which we love, but it needs some repairs/upgrades done. We've had Kevin and his team in for several projects and will continue to use him and recommend him. Kevin has always provided professional estimates of the project beforehand, his team has always shown up in a timely manner, and the work has always been done in a professional manner. Little things like cleaning up after themselves mean a lot to us. I've used enough other contractors over the years to know that there are some unsavory people in this business, but Kevin is one of those honest, professional contractors that once you find, you use on every project. I can't recommend him highly enough.
