We worked with Capozzi Design and are so pleased with our kitchen, powder room and dining room remodeling projects. Everyone was very professional including including Anne, Kevin, Cynthia and RuthAnn as well as the crew from Benchmark who did all the work including Lou, Steve and Greg. We are embarking on our second phase of home remodeling with this amazing team. 5 stars for Capozzi Design!

We used Capozzi Design group to remodel our master bathroom. They were very professional and great to work with on the design, remodel and installation. Now our bathroom is like my own personal spa. Don’t hesitate to give them a call.

We worked with Anne and Kevin and her team to remodel our master bedroom suite ( bedroom, master bathroom, and enlarged our closet). This was our first remodel and had heard many horror stories about contractors from friends and family. We couldn't keep putting the project off, so we interviewed a couple companies and decided on working with Capozzi. That was the right decision for us. They worked to give us great layout ideas, some options to help keep me "within / close to my budget", and all under one roof. They helped us with everything from layout, to materials, and even our bedroom furniture and blinds. I was so happy I have to one team from design to install. The carpenters and staff were awesome too, friendly and professional.

We worked with the Capozzi Design Build to renovate our kitchen in 2014. We moved to a new home in 2020. When we bought the home, we knew it needed a major renovation, and knew we would want to work with the Capozzi's again. We worked with Anne and her team to create our dream home. I found some inspiration photos that set the tone for the whole home. We started on the first floor, with renovating the kitchen ( including removing walls and a secondary staircase), dining room, and living room on the first floor. -- At the same time, we worked with the team to make some major improvements to the second floor. This included taking an existing wing of the home, and creating a master suite. This included a walk in closet, a work out room, and an enlarged bathroom. We relocated the bedroom to give us more privacy and a much better view. We could never have imagined the ideas and repurposing of space without the help of the Capozzi Team. They are visionaries. We are so thankful to have been able to work with a team that we had a good history with, really liked, and really trust. Our family just came into town for the holidays, and they were shocked by the transformation! We love our "new" home.

This was our first time renovating a kitchen and we’re so happy that we used CDG and Benchmark! I’ve always dreamed of having “The Galley / Reinvent Your Kitchen” system installed when we were ready to remodel our kitchen. When I started to search for a Galley Distributor, I was referred to Capozzi Design Group. Working with Anne, Kevin, Lou and the rest of the design team was an absolute pleasure. The process of the renovation was explained clearly in our initial conversation and we were encouraged with their ideas, design and execution of the plan. Everyone who we worked with from the Capozzi Office, Designers, Managers, as well as, the talented Craftsman who worked on our project, were always professional, attentive to details and made sure that we were pleased with their work every step of the way! There aren't enough superlatives to describe what it was like to work with the Capozzi Team! From the first phone call to job completion, I was impressed. I had contacted other contractors but decided on Capozzi because they seemed to really "GET" what I was looking for. My kitchen remodel turned out great! Now I know where everything is and it's easy to get to. Everything just flows making time in the kitchen SO MUCH BETTER. Anne and I discussed several designs within my budget. We decided on one and Kevin and his team executed beautifully. Of course, there were a couple of minor bumps in the road (materials on back order...what isn't on back order this year?) but we worked through the issues and all is good. Most importantly, communication was terrific throughout the whole process. The crew showed up on time and cleaned up when finished for the day. Who does that????? I will definitely be looking to Capozzi for my next project(s)!

Capozzi helped us every step of the way, and it was helpful to have realistic opinions about what works and what doesn't. Everyone we worked with or came to work at the house was pleasant and professional. We're thrilled with our new kitchen!

Our job was small, but not too small. I was afraid Capozzi wouldn't take on a modest task like mine. Lou Kinczel, the project manager for Capozzi's agile, small job team, Benchmark Home Services, was great to work with. He understood what I was trying to do and lent his expertise to make it look nice, and not just functional. We bought a home that was recently remodeled, and the kitchen had a microwave over the range with the requisite vent. I like to cook a lot, and these are not sufficient. We installed a real hood to replace it, and he measured the exposed areas to replace with commercial stainless, using a laser and fabricating a custom piece that is functional and gorgeous. 2019 was the year we braved remodeling our 42-year-old farmhouse style kitchen. After two initial informative consultations with Ruthann Capozzi at her beautiful Kitchen studio in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, we decided to entrust the project to the Capozzi Design Group. Together with her husband Kevin, chief project manager, Ruthann brought in her long time experience, technical knowledge and excellent sense of design to completely reconfigure our somewhat cramped kitchen space. She suggested removing several beams and moving back a wall. Reluctant as I was at first, Ruthann convinced me (and my husband sided with her) that it was the right thing to do! By so doing, she created an inviting, open, « contemporary » space, while preserving the farmhouse feel we liked by keeping some beams around the periphery of the kitchen. And there was room for a spacious pantry as well! Thanks to her vision and suggestions, we now have a lovely, spacious transitional kitchen, equipped with white custom-made cabinetry, a white hood, white quartz counters, a soft tan-colored tile backsplash complementing « champagne » colored hardware. As a contrast to the white cabinetry, Ruthann suggested a walnut-topped rustic island in a pretty shade of grey which stands out beautifully against the new grey and white tile floor. Following her advice, we opted for upscale energy-efficient appliances, including a Wolf cooktop and matching ovens accented with red knobs. And last but not least, the above and under cabinet ribbon lighting looks fabulous! Throughout the completion of the project, which took roughly four months including demolition, we had a very positive, friendly and easy collaboration with Ruthann, Kevin and their team, and we are presently engaged in further projects with them.

I love my new kitchen! It was a real pleasure to work with such a professional team--from the superb design by Ruthann Capozzi to the carpenters, electrician and plumber. The whole kitchen renovation took two months because the workmen came five days a week and worked for at least eight hours. One of the carpenters finished every day by swiffering my kitchen and dining room floor. I've heard horror stories about contractors tearing out a kitchen and then vanishing for months. I didn't have to worry about that issue with Capozzi Design Group. I would recommend this company to anyone.

I interviewed many design and remodeling groups. Most told me what I couldn't do with my kitchen remodel budget. Anne Capozzi was the only designer who said, "Let's see what we CAN do within your budget". Anne was very meticulous in researching our lifestyle, how my husband and I work together in the kitchen and our priorities for the renovation. The construction team was polite, professional and sensitive to our family time. One asset for Capozzi Design is Lou K. the project manager. He adeptly handled our numerous questions, emails and text messages. Lou was always on top of any problems and if need be - looked for solutions that would fit our timeline and budget while keeping the finished outcome in mind. Our project expanded from just the kitchen to lighting, walls and flooring in the dining room. The powder room was also updated with a new vanity and lighting. Even with the additional rooms, the project ran the expected 10 weeks to completion. The kitchen is beautiful, incredibly functional and has more storage space than I can fill. I am very grateful to Anne, Kevin, Lou and the rest of their team for making my dream come true! (Please see the two Before and two After pictures)

We used Capozzi design for our living room renovation, they did a wonderful job. Throughout the design phase, Ruthann really listened to what we were trying to achieve and came up with solutions that were creative and practical. Both Ruthann and Kevin were very involved with the implementation, they kept us in the loop with what was going on and what to expect. They kept close tabs on their contractors to assure quality work. They transformed our living room to what we wanted and more.

We love our remodeled kitchen and enjoyed working with Ruthann. She helped us in making key decisions and understood what we wanted. I would definitely work with her on another project.

One of the rudest individuals I believe I have ever spoken to. Basically she made me feel like a complete idiot, took the project I was so very excited about and totally cut me off at the knees. I would never recommend anyone that doesn't even have the decency to treat you like a customer on the first phone call. It was as if she was doing ME a favor wanting to hire her for a cash job. I think she ASSUMED I had a renovation mortgage that required multiple contractor quotes. She was wrong!!!!! I come from a very snobby east coast community so I can usually deal with these types of people, but NOT if I am a customer, what a joke. I would like to add to this as well.....they charge a $150 fee to come out and LOOK at your space - so they are charging you to allow them the privilege to come in to your home and give ideas to you for a remodel that will cost up to $100,000.....am I supposed to thank them for letting me pay them to do a job????

We first met Ruthann and Kevin at their store and were impressed with the organized method they explained to us and other visitors, as well as the philosophy of offering "good, better, best" options. Ruthann did a thorough review of how we used our kitchen and what we wanted to accomplish, and then presented a beautiful and very functional design that exceeded our expectations. Once the project started, Kevin and his team were focused on minimizing the time we were without a kitchen, since we were doing a complete overhaul of our kitchen. We were delighted to have installed cabinets and appliances within weeks, and only had to wait for the countertops before the kitchen was complete. We especially loved the Galley sink. We decided to also have them install hardwood floors in our great room and to update a bathroom and bar, so the entire house was dramatically transformed. Vince, the lead installer on the team, was very thorough and conscientious, and Ruthann and Kevin were always responsive and considerate with any questions we had, always doing what was right when issues (minor) came up. We enjoyed the collaboration and communication with both of them and their character and kindness was a real comfort during such a significant project. We highly recommend them and will use them again for other projects.

Ruthann and Kevin took a dated kitchen space and turned it into exactly what we hoped - the heart of the home where we now love to hang out. Our home is 117 years old and keeping the project in the style of the home was important to us. They accomplished that and created an efficient, open, transitional kitchen featuring elements that tie in to the rest of the home. The creative design required minimal, but very effective demolition which dramatically opened the space. Their process provides options ("Good; Better, Best") with cost estimates for evaluation with examples of different finishes in their showroom to help with the decisions. Kevin serves as the general contractor, does much of the work, and is supported by quality employees and contractors. When issues arose, they addressed them without hesitation, and, they tolerated an owner who wanted to perform part of the work. We can highly recommend using Capozzi Design Group.

I found the Capozzi Design Group to be highly skilled and professional in all areas of my project. All of the workmen were extremely courteous and explained all aspects of their work in detail. They always arrived on time and thoroughly cleaned the job site at the end of the day. It was obvious that they took great pride in their work and strove for perfection on all parts of the project. Ruthann was very knowledgeable, had great suggestions, listened to all of my concerns/desires, and communicated very effectively. She always responded to my phone calls in a timely manner. I highly recommend the Capozzi Design Group.

The Capozzi Design Group handled our kitchen remodel from design through construction. The quality of work, knowledge, and follow up were outstanding. Vince whom did the majority of the work was courteous, professional, and attention to detail was impeccable. I highly recommend Capozzi.

We hired Capozzi to completely renovate our kitchen about a year and a half ago. This was a big job, including new cabinetry, windows, creative lighting, ceiling work, and of course rearranging the footprint of the kitchen. Their work was top notch. They worked with us very well, and were very adaptable, since no plan ever goes without 5-6 revisions. They were also easy to reach when the situation required it. All of our concerns and complaints—and there were not many— were addressed professionally. We are in love with our new kitchen space and would definitely recommend this company.

Had the best experience building our new home with them.!They took time to listen and see what I really wanted in my new house. I never felt pressured into anything and always felt confident with what was recommended. I love everything that I picked and have never felt disappointed. I highly recommend them if you are building or even remodeling!

We couldn't be happier with our new kitchen. We waited a long time for it to be the right time to do such a big project but the results were well worth the wait! The process from start to finish was professional, efficient and fun. Ruthanns expertise was evident from the start. She designed a kitchen that is functional, beautiful, original and fits our family perfectly as well as our budget. Kevin is extremely organized, detail oriented, timely and his crew was always on time, friendly, perfectionists and left the house clean each day. In addition, the whole team is great with communication, keeping us updated and always returning phone calls and texts. Everyone truly exceeded our expectations.

I can't say enough good things about this company. I waited seven years to renovate my kitchen, and the result is phenomenal - it looks like it came out of a magazine. I'm even more amazed, however, how functional this kitchen is. I have a large family and we have more than enough room to maneuver around the cabinets and island. Ruthann and Kevin are a joy to work with -- highly recommend!

The Capozzi Design Group remodeled our kitchen in 2015 and we have been so pleased. Friends and relatives have raved about how beautiful and functional our kitchen is and how jealous they are. Ruthann met with my wife and I in our home and offered several design options. We had some ideas and they worked with us to mess our ideas and theirs into a design plan that worked for us. We fell in love with the Galley sink and it has expanded the ease and flow of our work space and food preparation. We had some problems with the faucet head and had to reorder a couple of times to get one that worked. I think the problem was in that particular design and would recommend going with a different faucet. Kevin headed the construction phase and work progessed as scheduled with only a few minor delays. He and his crew were very professional and accomodating. To help in the overall cost, I was able to remove the old appliances and cabinets and did some dry walling and hanging wall paper during the construction. The cost of the project was significant, but like anything, you get what you pay for. Again, we are extremely pleased with and have been enjoying our new kitchen every day!

I love my updated kitchen and new bathroom! They are absolutely transformed! Moving through the remodel process I quickly learned that Kevin and Ruthann are people to be trusted. They are creative and knowledgeable professionals who work hard to be sure the client is happy with the end result. Their workmen were pleasant and easy to have in my home. The amount spent for the remodel work came very close to the estimate. I am delighted with the end result and plan to have them do the next project when the time comes.

We were ready to remodel our kitchen, but didn't know where to start. We saw that Snow Brothers appliance had free seminars on kitchen remodeling, and that's where we met Ruthann from Capozzi Design Group. We were attracted to her strong confidence in her ability as a designer, She and Kevin (what a great team!) came out to measure and spent time talking us about possibilities for our kitchen. Ruthann said she'd design three different floor plans. She was so committed to creating our new kitchen that when we met again, to our surprise she had a fourth plan. She talked over each plan carefully, answering all of our questions. She gave us a couple weeks to decide, continuing to answer questions along the way. We appreciated that she was accessible and returned calls, texts and emails to help us with our decision. We merged a couple plans together to come up with our final floor plan. Ruthann was an excellent listener. Her attention to detail about our lifestyle, and our wants and needs, enabled her to design an awesome kitchen for us! She selected materials based on what we talked about and what we had shown her. Her suggestions and selections were so right on! She introduced us to things that we would have never thought of ourselves. For example, she suggested acrylic cabinets. Once we saw them, we knew they were a perfect fit. They look fantastic! We loved her selection of paint color, materials for the counter top, back splash, additional wood cabinetry, lighting, and hardware. Everything ties together beautifully! We appreciated that the Capozzi crew working on our kitchen was respectful of our home. They arrived on time every day and cleaned up before they left. They were very good at communicating any issues that came up. Having never been through this process, it was helpful that Ruthann and Kevin prepared us for the realities of renovations with the age of our home. They were forthcoming about any possible issues to prepare us to make changes in our decisions. They had a solution for any issues that arose. They were patient with our inquiries and gave easy to understand answers to our many questions and curiosities. Although our kitchen is the same square footage, it feels like it has doubled in size. Ruthann made the best use of the space in our kitchen. Shen married functionality with a modern look, while making it all work with the rest of the architecture of our 96 year old home. Our kitchen is STUNNING! (In her projects ours is the Euclid kitchen. Take a look!) Given all the dynamics that are involved with renovating/remodeling, we feel very fortunate to have met and hired Ruthann and Kevin of the Capozzi Design Group. What a talented, highly skilled, integrity driven duo, along with the rest of their staff! We definitely recommend them!

We fell in love with a sink (The Galley) and found that Capozzi's had the sink in their showroom. We then found a house which needed some kitchen modifications and we now have a new sink..it's even better than we could have imagined especially for people who enjoy cooking. A new vent/fan/lighting system, a new induction cooktop (also love) and our kitchen functions like a dream. We will be working with Ruth Ann and team to replace ill functioning kitchen closets to become work counter and pantry to complete our fabulous remodel. Then on to our bathrooms.

Ruthann and Kevin provided the expertise to design not only our kitchen, but our butler pantry,master bath ,laundry room and powder rooms. Their ideas were very compelling and reflected our tastes and home design very well.

I am truly pleased with my kitchen, bathroom and laundry remodel – the results exceed my dreams. I walk into the spaces weeks later and still cannot believe they are mine. As a recent first time visitor to my home walked from the living room to the dining room, he asked if I minded if he looked into the kitchen. As he looked around, he said – “this is spectacular.” It is a pleasure to share my experience with Ruthann Capozzi and the Capozzi Design Group. I met Ruthann when she presented a Kitchen Remodeling Workshop as I prepared for my remodel. I was impressed from the start with her overall knowledge and ability to communicate clearly in responding to questions. Later, I found the whole team to be equally professional and focused on meeting my interests. Ruthann provided guidance as I made choices, although at no time did I feel pressured to force her views when we differed. Throughout the project Ruthann and her staff maintained communication with me as well as with the various trades people to keep the project on track. I knew when workers would be in my home, what would be occurring, and was consulted when decisions needed to be made on placement of outlets, handles, etc. Throughout the project, workers cleaned all areas at the end of each day, informed me when they would be returning, and what if any restrictions there were on the work in process. All workers were polite, introduced themselves when they arrived, and showed respect for me and my things. When there were delays in availability of key trades people, Capozzi staff were able to explain changes in the sequencing of work and step in to work on other aspects of the project to minimize delay. All three projects were being completed simultaneously so when there was a delay in one area, the team was often able to work in the other areas. Clearly I am well satisfied with the professionalism of Capozzi Design and would (and have) recommend them to anyone interested in a kitchen or bathroom remodel.

As Thanksgiving 2015 draws to a close, we are grateful for all that the Capozzi Design Group did for us the past six months. From our first meeting with Ruthann, who gave an excellent presentation at Snow Brothers on how to do a kitchen remodel, we knew we had our designer! Both Kevin and Ruthann make a complementary team who kept us on the timeline we needed. Their working staff had great listening skills, competence in construction, and appreciated punctuality! They answered all questions, delivered the product, and led us to some beautiful choices for our kitchen. We highly recommend the Capozzi Design Group and love being able to do so! We love our new kitchen!

Put in a lovely marble kitchen backsplash. Very professional. Wish I would have used them for my entire project. All they do is kitchens & baths so that is their passion. It shows.

CAPOZZI DESIGN GROUP The Capozzi group were very pleasant and honest in their approach in analyzing what my kitchen needed. New cabinets, new design, a more modern look, new modern appliances and new back splash. All of which had to please me. They worked hard to accomplish this. We discussed the design of my kitchen at some length, and Ruthann made a number of suggestions that we ended up working into the design. I am quite pleased with the overall outcome. The colors and materials fit together well. Even better than I had pictured. They were also flexible enough to work in some ceiling work that I need to have done because of the relative position of my two adjacent rooms. This was an important goal for me as it fit into my plans to redo other elements of my home. They gave careful thought to staying within my budget. In short I would recommend the Capozzi Design Group for the design and execution of home remodeling projects.

We are very happy with our kitchen. It is beautiful and continues to make us enjoy using it. Ruth Ann and Kevin are honest, hard working and were easy to work with.

We chose Capozzi Design Group to design and remodel the worn out 1990's kitchen in our circa 1920 home and are delighted with the results. The finished product is a truly unique space that is beautiful to look at and functions like a well-designed tool.We have very strong opinions and standards regarding design, but also value the contribution that working with an experienced designer can bring to the process. We discussed the design with Ruthann and provided our ideas with the qualification that better ideas would be welcome. Indeed, better ideas were provided! Capozzi’s proposed design made excellent use of our space and incorporated the clean modern design we were looking for, but in a way that we would not have conceived of on our own. The remodeling and installation were also performed by Capozzi, and the quality of the work is outstanding. Kevin managed or performed the construction and installation with care and great attention to detail. The work was substantially finished within the two month timeline promised and, equally as important on a two month project, the project area was clean and orderly at the end of every day.The kitchen design and installation have turned out so well that we added another phase to the project and are working with Capozzi on remodeling a half bath adjacent to the kitchen, incorporating some of the same design elements. Like the kitchen design, Capozzi had great ideas for the space that we would not have conceived of on our own.Highly recommended.

Ruthann & Kevin did an excellent job helping us design a new kitchen to replace one last updated in the early 1990's. Everything matched up exactly as promised and the result was fantastic.

Ruthann Capozzi helped us immensely when we took on a very difficult kitchen/eat-in design project. Having worked with other designers, she stands out as the most intelligent, energetic, and artistic. Her expertise was evident the moment she walked into the troubled kitchen space. She had insightful answers to our questions, was realistic about what was possible to achieve, and was direct about cost. I can highly recommend Capozzi Design Group!

After meeting and speaking with countless kitchen designers and touring several showrooms, we chose to work with Ruthann Capozzi of the Capozzi Design Group to help us re-design our new kitchen in a 1926 Shaker Heights tudor that we were in the process of purchasing. We were very fond of her work, but were taken by her passion for helping people design a space that suits their wants and needs, and doing it at the best value possible with a very high quality product. We already had a “look” in mind, but Ruthann spent hours with us figuring out our priorities and how to craft a kitchen that would work for us. We ran into issues when we finally got into the house and got the walls down, but Ruthann helped us to think about the new opportunities this provided. We ultimately ended up with a kitchen beyond our original expectations and continue to be very happy.

This is a mid-project review and so far, the process has been great. I gave Ruthann our budget, which was NOT lavish, and told her we needed to squeeze a new master bath and a kitchen update out of that figure. She has done an excellent job of steering us toward the getting the most bang for the buck. The bathroom has taken 60% of the money, but simply by repositioning the kitchen peninsula the flow in the kitchen has improved immensely. We decided to the cherry cabinets but by selecting a moody gray-blue for the walls, that bossy orange wood has been toned down significantly. Amazing what a difference that made. I never would have thought of that color for the walls. Ruthann and Kevin have been great about minimizing disruption and leaving the kitchen as workable as possible during the work. We've gone about 10% over the initial budget -- mostly in change orders I initiated. All the tradesmen have been skillful, quiet, professional and pleasant. The work site is left clean each night. I'll post photos when we're done with the projects.

We had a wonderful experience working with Ruthann and Kevin on our kitchen. It turned out so beautiful and much more than we ever expected. It is so function and great for our family and we always get comments on much our guest love it! We had such a great experience that we decided to bring them back for a bathroom remodel. We are current in progress and it has been so exciting to see it all come together. The quality of the products are remarkable and we have not been disappointed yet. Will certainly use them again!

Removed granite counter top on island. Redeigned the cabinet layout, installed new appliances and new cabinets and reinstalled granite. Impressed with there knowledge how a island should be designed and the quality of their cabinetry. The installers were first rate.Taking the time to make sure the install was done perfectly and cleaned up after the job was finished. And most important they actually did the work on schdule and finished a day early.

I won a kitchen consultation with the Capozzi Design Group at a charity fundraiser. And although I live quite a distance from Ruthanne, and I am not a paying customer, she cheerfully met me at my home and spent a great deal of time talking to me about how I use my kitchen. Her instincts and design ideas were fantastic. She came up with several ingenious ways to get the most out of my small kitchen. As a home cook herself, she fully understood what would be important to me in terms of work space and storage. She spent more than the two hours of consultation I had won and impressed me with her design ideas and enthusiasm for the project. I hope to start the project in 2014 and look forward to working with Ruthanne at that time.

Wonderful people. We were extremely happy with all the products and work done by the Capozzi Group during our remodel. They helped with us with the design and products in our bathrooms, kitchens and built in cabinets in other rooms.

We had our main level renovated to incorporate the dining room and living room into one open room and extend the kitchen into our dining room. Ruthann did a great job in understanding our needs and working with us to design our beautiful kitchen as well as assist in recommending a contractor who was equally professional. GW Construction did a great job down to the details. Throughout the project both Ruthann and Gordon were willing to accommodate changes along the way and advice when we needed it. We enjoyed working with them and would recommend them to anyone.

I felt my kitchen worked just fine, I just didn't know how great it could be. It is ergonomically designed to function perfectly, using durable, yet gorgeous, materials. Through Capozzi, I have learned that you do not have to buy the most expensive pieces to get the best and most beautiful outcome. Their advice was only surpassed by the workmanship and by the professional crews. I felt comfortable with them in my home, and I knew each was an expert in his/her field. Without hesitation, I recommend them to anyone. Be careful, you just may make a friend in the process.

Capozzi Design group recently worked on our new home in Columbiana, Ohio. We had an unusual irregular shape to work with for a kitchen and breakfast area. Capozzi Design came up with a unique design that was both functional and eye appealing. They provided and installed all cabinets and countertops at a reasonable price. They also aided in the selection of appliances, backsplash, lighting and flooring. We were extremely pleased with the final results.

The Cappozzi Design Group were wonderful to work with! Ruthann helped me make design decisions from start to finish. Questions were answered in a timely fashion. My kitchen is not only beautiful but very functional and a joy to cook and entertain in. The contractors she employs were also a delight to have in my home working for the several months it took to complete the renovation. I would definitely recommend them for remodeling projects!

Ruthann is very knowledgeable and made the process of our kitchen remodel seem easy.
