We absolutely LOVE our Charleston Row Townhouse! The whole process from start to finish was handled in a professional and timely manner. The quality and high standards the team at Charleston have is evident in our completed home. It was a dream come true to design and work through the process with the Charleston team. Each stage was placed perfectly. We never felt rushed to quickly decide major choices. Time was allotted for further thought and tweaking. Together they 'got' our vision and guided us toward our ultimate goal...a stunning beautiful classic home!

We actually picked our home first – Charleston Row I – as we loved the concept, but from our first meeting with Charleston Building and Development, we knew they were the right people to trust to build our new home. Charleston Building and Development is a family-run business – dad, Larry and sons, Erik and Adam Van Someren – who do quality work and are true to their word. With the help of their designer, Nicole, they made the daunting process of building a home doable. We had never built before, so we were a bit overwhelmed at first, but they took us step by step through the process, (almost) making it easy! Nicole is amazing and spent hours upon hours patiently helping us as we picked cabinets, countertops, tile flooring, paint colors, light fixtures, etc. Charleston Building and Development also has reliable and skilled people who they work with – electricians, plumbers, painters, cabinet makers, trim guys, etc. – they did beautiful work! We love our new home and we love the location, near downtown Naperville. The building is beautiful and unique, thanks to the vision of the Van Somerens. We would, without any hesitation, recommend Charleston Building and Development to anyone planning to build. You will have a wonderful experience from start to finish!!!

Working with Charleston was an absolute dream! We gutted the kitchen and dining room in our 60s era home and could not be more thrilled with the results. Their designer, Nicole, presented us with 3 completely different layouts for our kitchen remodel. We selected our favorite one and she then spec'd out every single detail. Execution was flawless and they anticipated nearly every issue before it came up. I'd also like to add that they came in under budget. In fact, they talked me out of a few pricey selections in order to make sure we came in under budget :) Highly recommend!
